Beautiful quiet trail. The spring was gorgeous and saw 2 gators. It was wet in some parts but other than that a great hike. Definitely recommend

Amazing hike but 1 -2 miles too long. I used All Trails map app to help navigate. Not too muddy. Check to ticks.

Out of this world experience, the two photos show the trail heads off the fire access road. There is a small parking area near Spring Creek and Shell Point intersection. Walk in off the fire trails and you can loop back to the same spot, just don't follow the trail markers once you get back onto a fire road. Ware pants and bring a second set of shoes.

A walk through the cathedral (to Shepard's Spring) is unlike anything else you can experience in this region. North meets South.

This 6 mile trail goes through lots of different scenery. It wasn't muddy at all when we went (December). It is slightly confusing with all the hunting/management trails that cross it. Follow the orange blazes and you should be good. Make sure to take the few steps off the main trail to visit Shepherd Spring.

Cool to see this cluster of Palms in the middle of forest! And, look closely when you get to the springs for baby alligators! We saw three.

Absouletly stunning. Quiet, easy walk...not really a hike. The palms are tall, healthy and awe-inspiring. Special surprise at the end is the lovely spring! We went in December and the weather was gorgeous. I would bring any FL visitor here!

Beautiful 'old Florida' area, & the palms reminded me of the central Florida woods, Skeeters & ticks were rough in mid-May, as well as a few yellow flies, ensure to bring spray. The swamp areas were mostly dry, so I imagine after the rains the bugs will be alot worse.
