This park is nice and very well maintained. The sites are spacious and not on top of each other. The trails were great and we were able to watch dolphins play in the waterway. Very convenient to Savannah as well. We had an issue with our breaker in the power box and the maintenance crew had it replaced within 30 minutes of us reporting the problem to our host. Great park and we would definitely stay again if we visit the area.

Georgia State Parks knows what’s up!! Beautiful, manicured camping spots for RV hook up. Multiple clean comfort stations (aka bathrooms) with scalding hot water. They have everything from primitive camping to Yurts and cabins for those who require a more “glamping” experience.
The hiking paths were well marked and we were able to traverse with three dogs and a stroller. Some were closed due to flooding, but we still managed to get in about 5 miles over the course of the weekend.
They have several playgrounds for the kiddos that are accessible for all ages. Our 2 year old had a blast!
We encountered a couple of staff and rangers and they were all so nice and helpful.
Even though the park was busy and at capacity, it didn’t feel crowded or noisy.
10/10 would definitely return.

This is a fabulous park and the camp hosts, Penny and her hubby, were first rate. They set up bird feeders at their site and attract all kinds of feathered friends. She is also an owl whisperer and went out of her way to point this amazing pair of barred owls out to me several times. Just a wonderful experience l!

Got the last spot today, just for the night. Beautiful as I've heard! The staff was wonderful! I was sad Leaving Florida until we got here..We have tried booking here forever, and today was our lucky day.

All around a really great experience! We were lucky to score a walk up site, and was worth every penny of the 50$. May sound steep for a state park but the amenities provided and kind staff really make it worth the cash. The on-site activities only added to the value of the experience.

Easy access to Savannah. Clean bathrooms, warm showers, Our site was not as private as we would like but there were others that looked better. Had a neighbor whose RV lights shined all night. Hikes were nice and some history as well.

I've been to this park many times in my life, but this is the first time we've camped here, and we LOVED it.

We are from N. Georgia, and typically drift more towards the elevated state parks, but this little coastal gem is 100% worth it.

Our site was number 65, and while it was a little hairy getting in there as there is a large palm/palmetto tree right on the corner (thankful my husband is a truck driver 😅), it was a nice, level site off by itself and about 200 yards from the bath house.

The bathrooms/showers were clean and well taken care of, the park was well maintained, and the staff and volunteers were so incredibly friendly.

It's pretty centrally located as well. Close to a myriad of restaurants, a Walmart, and not too far from Savannah and Tybee.

Our ONLY "complaint" (if you can call it that) is the dump station layout. It wasn't unmanageable but poorly laid out.

Other than that, we have zero complaints about this beautiful park!

We can't wait to come back in July and spend a full week!

We love this campground. Sites are spacious with lots of room between them. Magical shaded grounds dripping with Spanish moss. There are great trails in the park, and only a short drive to Savannah and surrounding island areas. We will be back here for sure.

This park is so beautiful with the massive oaks and pines all around and the swaying Spanish moss. It has a good amount of trails to hike. The observation tower top floor was inaccessible now due to a removed staircase. It rained but even so, it was a peaceful beautiful stay. Bathrooms were clean and hot water in the showers. It was nice to see some owls, an 8 point buck running through the camp and all the other little critters running around.
Staff was friendly if you get them talking but otherwise one lady kept interrupting the park attendant helping us and she reeked of cigarettes. They also called us and asked if we were checking in before 5 and we had already been checked in AND bought extras from them in the visitor center.

This Georgia state campground is fantastic. The people were so nice and attentive to maintaining a beautiful, safe environment. Bathroom and laundry facilities were clean and available all throughout the property. Food and adventures were close by to enjoy. I love Savannah!

Great little hiking spot with a brand new facility with gift shop, playground and bathrooms. Lots of wildlife to view and flat, level trails.

I just go to walk the trails with my dog, and it is so perfect for that. Every now and then there's a log or bench to stop and water him. Pack a small pack and go. Several trails to experience. Love this park. I get a year pass because it's really convenient. One day I'll pioneer camp out there.

This is now one of my favorite campgrounds! Sites are shady, with that Georgia mossy tree effect! Paved roads, gravel sites. Most sites water & electric, some full hook-up. Picnic tables, fire pits, bath houses, large lots, pull-throughs, back-ins. Bike and walking trails, fishing, docks, gift shop with camping supplies. Nice and quiet when everyone is respectful. Gates lock at 10pm. Driving distance to Savannah's downtown, and several Forts, islands, lots to do!

Beautiful campground. We stayed for four nights in September and it was very clean, incredibly quiet, the staff where very nice, and the location is excellent! We got to experience Savannah, without having to BE in Savannah. Grocery stores and dinning were close. Have already booked another trip here!

Bring bug spray! The mosquitos are like pterodactyls!

we popped in on our trip to savannah. we loved the interpreter center and the gift shop had lots to see.

we walked down the big ferry trail to get to the lookout on the marsh. the walk was super easy but i don’t recommend going if it’s just rained since there are parts of the trail that were muddy. it was dry when we went and we literally wore crocs and we’re fine, but just keep in that in mind if you plan to go after it rains!

there was a ton of wildlife to see if you’re looking. take your time!

Clean 30amp power, big level site, good water pressure. Some sites are FHU. Sites are very well placed to maximize space and privacy. Some reports of hard to get into interior roads but our 35’ MH had no problem. Small shopping center 1.5 miles away with a supermarket. Good trails. Good spot to get into Savannah.

An absolutely lovely site was one of the most advanced and high end Welcome Centers I’ve ever seen. It was absolutely massive had state of the art bathrooms as well. Tons and tons of parking and plenty of trails. The Sandpiper Trail is 50% exposed to the sun 50% shaded but it’s a wonderful little walk and worth all of your time to do it. Would highly recommend this park, again great location
