Great place. Local to me. Good rates. Don't buy the hay. Seeded our yard after extensive grade work... And got extensive fleas for the trouble. Brought them in with the hay. Common issue treated with Nematodes (Arbico Organics) and flea traps for the house. But boy what a hassle! Still get stuff from RVR... just never again will we get hay bales.

They are very nice and helpful. They load my stuff. Always go there.

I come here to get all of my mulch, topsoil, animal feed, specilized farm store. Keeps me from driving to lynchburg. And we all know walmart never has what you need.

River Valley Resources is a great access to the town of Altavista and surrounding areas. The staff there are always very helpful and knowledgeable of their merchandise. They are a ten star business in my book.
