Quality Suites Altavista - Lynchburg South

We have traveled around and stayed at MANY hotels. Quality Suites Altavista is by far one of the better places we have stayed! They are Pet-friendly with clean rooms, comfortable beds/pillows, easy access, helpful staff and a terrific breakfast! Even on the weekdays there was a full assortment of breakfast items to choose from - juice, coffee, tea, cocoa, cereal, hot waffles, toast, biscuits, muffins, pastry, eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, yogurt,,, and probably some other things that I didn't notice.
We made reservations & paid for one night, but arrived a day early so we got a room by just going to the front desk and paying for our room/extra day. Pleasantly surprised that our 1st night stay turned out to be a LOT less than when we made our reservation over the phone. Don't know WHY it was so much when we CALLED their reservation phone#,,, and the hotel clerk didn't have an answer. It was too late to cancel our reservation that we had already made over the phone (to try to get both nights at the lower rate),,, but it is-what-it-is & we thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay here with our dog

They were great at customer service and rooms were real clean. We has kids and perfect size for 2 Littles. Beds were comfortable and water was awesome nice and hot

First time staying here and it was dog friendly. Love the room and lobby was also comfortable and easy to look at. Definitely recommend staying here.

We had a great time at this hotel! It was surprisingly nice...breakfast was small but good and more than adequate. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was friendly. I was really impressed all around!

I attended the festival BRRF and chose this hotel, Very clean hotel, my room was clean, staff was nice, Location was not far from Restaurants and stores. 9/6/23 thru 9/10/23

Brandon!!! You are amazing! Working double shift to let your coworker be home with their family for christmas and still being the friendliest front desk. He went above and beyond to make our stay was comfortable even when other guests were not anywhere near as happy. Management should appraise your eagerness in hospitality, and reward your tentative nature.

They did opt to have hot breakfast available on Christmas morning *thanks again to those workers as well who kept the food coming and hot*

Comfortable room, no drafts! Room was nice and warm even with double digit negative temperature outside. Soft sheet and thick blanket on the beds. Enough towels, decent water pressure. Microwave in room. Convenient right next to gas station and main rds.

There were some bad patches of ice I wish were taken care of. But going in the main entrance it was salted.

Only downside was yes it is pet friendly which I admire. But we were kept up decent portion of the night by barking dogs in the next room who the front desk was unsuccessful in reaching *they did try thank you* only because we had kids trying to sleep. Please be aware that this is pet friendly!
However I do wish they would maybe perhaps room the pet friendly in a different area of the hotel, or warn appointment check in, only because we were sharing a wall with someone who had 2 dogs who were fighting/playing/barking until really really late.

My grown daughter had a birthday party and didn't think we would enjoy the loud music so we decided to grab a movie and a meal and spend the night out. The beds were very comfortable and they have a great breakfast for free. You can tell some of the decorative furniture in the lobby and halls was worn but everything in the room was really nice. This is October and the flower arrangements and other decorative items were beautiful. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

As always the rooms are clean the staff are friendly and helpful ,breakfast in the morning is great 👍 my only complaint is the bed was hard

Front end staff was very friendly and check-in was done quickly. Room was very clean and furnishings were in really good shape; bed was very comfortable. Motel was wonderfully quiet (definitely not found everywhere)! Hubby and I will be back

My family stayed here for our family reunion. The hospitality was awesome. Rooms was very clean. Beds very comfortable. They have grills for cook out and an outdoor pool. Free breakfast variety as well. Not to forget the mini golfing. Not sure if you need your own balks and stick.

We stayed here for 2 nights for a music festival. The staff was amazing and so very friendly. We accidently locked our keys in the trunk and one of the men came out and started helping us which was so thoughtful and amazing. The pool was nice even though we didn't get in it. We got a king size suite and the price was amazing for 2 nights and the bed was comfy, the room was spotless, the bathroom was clean. If we ever come back to this music festival we will definitely book this hotel agian. They we're so wonderful.

Very good rates. Amenities are grade A. Breakfast is exceptional. Staff is very friendly consistent in service. Housekeeping is the best I've experienced and I've stayed at quite a few hotels. Even if fully booked. It feels as if I'm the only one here.

This hotel is a great deal. Affordable, yet clean and conveniently located. What stood out the most was the thoughtfulness of the owner. He made sure that I had a room with a well functioning air conditioner on a hot day, and gave me a bowl of cereal when I arrived late at night after most restaurants had closed. I highly recommend staying here!

We would definitely stay here again!!!We had a great stay! Everything was spotless and staff was helpful and so nice. Our room was great. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great.

I enjoyed my stay here. I was able to fall asleep very quickly so my experience here was lovely. They also had a lot of variety for breakfast options plus staff was very helpful

The staff at the Quality Suites was wonderful, professional, and responsive from check in to check out. The room was very clean and inviting. The floors were freshly vacuumed and the bathroom stocked with clean linens. I will gladly stay at this establishment again when I am in the area.
