Mildred’s Halal Soul Food

Food was fresh. Atmosphere was clean and welcoming. The staff was very patient when I placed my order & listened attentively to my children (ages 5 & 4) as they placed there’s. We weren’t rushed. You can tell each meal is cooked with love.

I've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. I would have taken pictures but the food is gone, lol. I have had just about everything on the menu and the food is great, always fresh and I believe that when people treat you nice, for some reason it makes the food much better. I ordered yams, rice and peas, oxtail, fried fish, cabbage and collard greens. These were all catered and everything was made fresh. The price was right and we enjoyed everything. Do yourself a favor and support this place. You won't be sorry.

“ Food for the body is not enough. There must be food for the soul.” That’s what Mildred’s Halal Soul Food accomplished. I ordered fish with rice and beans and that fish just breaks right apart the second you touch it with a fork. Cooked to perfection. Also the atmosphere and the back patio is impressive. If you have not tried this place you’re definitely missing out. Mildred’s cooking definitely has some “soul” in it. I enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere so I’m going back this weekend

This place is amazing, i googled soulfood in Allentown & Mildreds halal soulfood came up. I tried it and when I tell you, it hit the spot it definitely was good … I’m coming back again they definitely got returning customer !

The owner suggested trying a menu item the smothered turkey wing…sinfully delicious flavor bomb and my new favorite menu item…I’ll definitely be back for more…Edited one week later…I tried the hot wings there unique savory and delicious and a dessert I’ve been hearing about and wanting to try there caramel walnut cak… it definitely lived up to its reputation moist lightly sweet and full of flavors…All Home Runs…😋

I ordered from Mildred's Soul Food and let me tell you the food was amazing The fish was delicious and the Mac & Cheese was as well. The service was great delivery driver was professional. The prices where great.. Thank you Mildred's Soul Food for the best experience 💕

I heard about this spot opening, so I decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did.

The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Service was friendly, I was even offered the remote to watch whatever I wanted on the TV.

The food was fresh and delicious!
I was really hungry so I opened it in the car to taste it…
But I couldn’t stop eating it!

I was so good!

The reason I gave 4 stars is because the fried whiting I ordered were small and a bit broken up in pieces. I prefer to be able to see the whole fish/filet instead of pieces. It’s a texture thing for me.

Food was amazing I was full and still wanted to keep eating, portion size reflects the price, the food was freshly made which is understandably reasonable for the service therefore it taste even better.

This place is fire, solid variety, atmosphere is clean, service is great will definitely be coming back.

Soul Food! However, service was painfully slow. Hope that improves.

First time eating there place looked nice but kinda peculiar that it was empty for a soul food spot every one under the sun loves good soul food but I said let me try it chicken was little salty yams to much sugar mac n cheese seems like they used regular processed cheeses instead of shredded cheese not really seasoned well very upset hard finding people that really take there time n the kitchen and perfect there seasoning not bad just less sugar n salt more seasoning n the Mac n cheese should of been on point 😒 sorry for the mis understanding just being honest 🙂‍↔

I had a taste for soul food, and I heard about this spot opening so I decided to give them a try... I ordered the fried chicken meal that comes with 2 sides, I ordered the collard greens and the baked Mac. I was told that I was going to get 8-10 wings, and I received 6 and they were a bit salty for me to the point that if I ate Mac right after a wing, I couldn't taste the cheese in the mac.... the greens were bland and the Mac and cheese was ok ... they threw in a free piece of cornbread that crumbled up once I broke a piece off... Overall I was NOT SATISFIED. The delivery fee was $7 and I only live a couple blocks from the restaurant 👎🏾in total I paid $30 & it wasn't worth it 😞 I love to support black business but not this place again.

Expensive af. Salty af. Old bay stayed in your mouth after 1 bite, horrible. $68 for chicken Mac and cheese collard greens and cornbread. Only thing enjoyable was the cornbread. Never again
