Old Homestead Restaurant

Absolutely loved this place! Came to Alexandria to explore and this restaurants charm was exactly our vibe! Wonderful multi level outdoor seating with live music, the staff was extremely attentive, and the food was delicious. Both of us were raving about what we got and how picturesque of a night it was. Everyone who was eating there was lively and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Even the musician was having fun banter back and forth with different tables, taking requests and asking questions. Couldn’t have had a better night if we tried!

My husband and I ate there last night. We enjoyed the outdoor dining and ambiance.

The lobster dip and chips were so yummy!
We both ordered a fish sandwich. I especially loved the tartar sauce but honestly the fish itself didn't have much taste. It wasn't bad but it could've been better.
Overall I would still recommend and would stop go back to try other items in the menu.
Service was wonderful! We felt welcomed and appreciated as a customer.

Amazing ribeye!! Open through the winter! Fabulous for us locals. Michelle waited on us and was very attentive in spite of the restaurant filling up!
Great meals, excellent service, cozy fireplace.

We were 4 on a Saturday night looking for a table on the patio. The sweet hostess Daniel, told us there would be a wait as the kitchen was backed up. We sat down, ordered, drinks and food, everything came very quickly despite the warning and much to our surprise. All of our meals were excellent, chicken Parmesan, lobster ravioli, salmon, halibut. The service was excellent and we asked to speak to the manager to sing the praises of our server and hostess. The owner came out, she was very sweet and very appreciative of our compliments. We Recommend this very nice restaurant!

Off the charts good. I’ve seen some bad reviews especially lately so I really wanted to weigh in. I had a great experience.

I ordered the following..
Soft pretzel with beer cheese
- Humongous and the cheese was great.
Kiss on the Lips cocktail.
- No complaints, just wish I’d ordered the Almond Joy after a taste of my sister’s.
Buffalo Chicken personal pizza
- Amazing, truly. The sauce was not too hot to overpower the taste of the chicken or mozzarella. The crust was not so thin to be crunchy and the portion size was just right for me.
Side of Fries
- Crispy with a soft interior.

We had a party of 7 and did not experience wait time even with a majority of the tables filled. We were actually impressed.

Based on my experience I would recommend this restaurant, it’s at the least worth a try!

Excellent food, not bad prices, but worth every penny. Service was very good. Seating outside and socially distanced.

We had supper here. We all enjoyed out meal. Service was timely and we listened to their musicians while waiting. Waitress was very friendly. We were able to bring out dog with us which makes them rank higher than most. The outdoor seating was nice. We will be back.

Absolutely recommend! The food was excellent, service impeccable, and patio filled with fall charm. Definitely worth the stop!!

I had the buffalo chicken wrap which was really good. because the restaurant is short staffed our server chipped in and was also cooking the food. my father-in-law left a package on the table the waitress ran down the street chasing after us to give us the package. that's going above and beyond great service. fast friendly and efficient will definitely go back again

We had both lunch and dinner here are the food and service were very good.

Food was great. We were very excited that we could bring our dog with in the outdoor section. They brought her water, a milk bone, and most of the staff stopped to say hello to her. Thank you for taking such good care of us and our Presley.

Very limited seated so a very intimate setting with great service and top notch food at reasonable prices. The quality of the food and cleanliness of the dining room area were perfect. I would suggest this to anyone looking for a really good simple meal.

This was one if the best Ribeyes I have ever eaten! It was huge! Skip the buffalo dip. Great drink prices. Friendly service.

The best wings I have had in a long time I might even say best ever. The outside dining was great, the most was on top of things. I would recommend to stop in.
