Really impressed with the Cap't!. Yes, it's no frills ( for the most part), but its super clean, nice pool and a terrific location. Bed was EXTREMELY comfortable and it was quiet! If you're looking for a very well priced room and don't require all the amenities of a high end hotel this is the place! Everything seems well cared for on the grounds and in the room. Overall just a nice place to stay at while exploring Alexandria Bay for the first time!

Great Room, my family and I rented a room with a kitchen for my mother's 70th Birthday and this establishment did not disappoint. Friendly staff, clean room, close to everything we wanted to do. We will definitely be back to stay here, I can honestly say you will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

The staff is always friendly and helpful, but the office isn’t open 24/7. We stay here for a long weekend every fall, totally worth it.

Stayed two nights and was very pleased with everything. Our room was clean and spacious. The housekeeping staff was extremely friendly and checking in with Eric was a breeze. He was super helpful. Needing a few things at the front desk, the staff was always prepared and accommodating. Cory checked us out and he too was very friendly and a pleasure to chat with for a few min. Would definitely recommend staying here. Price is great and they have a nice outdoor pool. Walking distance from anything in town and the restaurant on the property was an added bonus.

This was my fiance's and mine first real vacation together and thanks to Capt's Inn&Suites it was a fantastic experience and is really a wonderful lodging. Staff was friendly and informative, the rooms were clean and had such a wonderful atmosphere. The location is a stone throw from the bay, you could not ask for a better spot. Pool was clean and perfect for relaxing after a long day of fun activities around. Their restaurant is down the road and great as well. Truly a one-of-a-kind location that we look forward to coming to again! <3 !

I was blown away by what was presented. The staff at the counter were so kind and friendly. The rooms were VERY clean and well taken care of, especially for a motel. The other guest were very pleasant. Nothing out of the ordinary what so ever. The pool was so nice to swim in and it was clean. There is a restaurant right next door for breakfast and lunch and it’s very affordable. The drive inns are right down the road too. They even have a dock for you to place your boat. I will be staying here again for sure.

Room 126 was a beautifully remodeled room. All new! This is a no frills, perfect place to stay. New wood/vinyl flooring, paint, and decor... no dirty carpet (thank you)! Our bed was super comfortable, the water was HOT and there was excellent water pressure. The toilet was clean, sanitized and they place a tamper proof label on it so you know it hasn't been used since the last time is was cleaned. Great place to stay. Good value. Walking distance from downtown (exactly 0.5 mile walk). We were reluctant to book a "motel" but we are glad we did. This place truly exceeded our expectations. If I had to find one thing that we would have liked to see, it would simply be the addition of a shelf in the bathroom to place some personal items... and a chair in the main room. But that's it! Clean, clean, clean... friendly staff, good location and good value is what you should take away from this review!

Very friendly and helpful Riley at the front desk. Arrived at 10am, our room was ready and we were given the keys. Our room was very clean, quiet and close to many tourist attractions. Captain's Inn and Suites, Captain Thomson's Resort on the water in A Bay and Uncle Sam's Boat Tours are all owned by the same company and it's reflected in the cleanliness of the properties and friendliness of their staff.

Dad and I took a couple days to go up to the 1000 Islands and didn't expect to make it some extravagant vacation, but wanted to have a couple more simple days off. Capt.'s was awesome! The double queen bed room was sizable, but cozy, and the location of this motel was outside of the downtown district, making it a lot easier to go out of town to Clayton or the state parks. As far as amenities, basic motel stuff like a microwave, mini fridge, 36ish inch TV. The TV was even cool because I was able to cast Netflix to it from my phone. My only complaint was the beds, not because they weren't comfortable, but they were loud and squeaky. I felt bad every time I tossed and turned because I thought I was going to wake him up. The staff was very friendly, though, answering all questions and concerns! All in all, was a good stay, and would go again!

After our air bnb fell through we were stuck looking for a place to stay. I saw that this place had been recently renovated and just stopped in, they were able to accommodate us that day and we’re super friendly. There were soaps and fresh towels in the bathroom and extra soaps set up in the room. There’s and desk and mini fridge with WiFi. HUGE clean bathroom. I was really blown away with how clean and nice this motel was finding it last minute. Staff was really nice and even let us change in the office bathroom while our room was still getting ready and we were wet from paddle boarding. If you’re here to sleep and keep your stuff while you explore the area it’s perfect. My only critique would be they need to change to real shower curtains ( the fabric one just ain’t it) and I do wish there was a microwave. Another than that this place it great and I would DEFINITELY come back.

This felt like my home away from home. It was comfortable, clean and tidy. The prices were great. Very convenient location and a short drive to the Alex Bay shops. You are in walking distance to a diner and a laundromat. Crystal, front desk staff, was professional and funny when we checked in. Even though is was a busy day, she greeted us with a smile and made checking in easy and fast. Everything was great and I would stay here again.

Pleasantly surprised. I thought it was like a motel but didn't care since its only to sleep. We walked in and it was so much better than expected. Spacious, has a little k cup machine, clean rooms. Very happy.

I loved it here. You can tell it’s an old building but they have kept up with the appearance and it’s so cute! Our room was clean and gorgeous. 10 mins walk to downtown, very convenient location to stay.

The location was great, everything was a five to ten minute drive away. The rooms were clean and the paint job was excellent. All the edges were perfect. The pool was nice and there was plenty of soap and amenities to suit my family including coffee and tea. There is a great breakfast and lunch plus dinner place pretty much on the hotel property so it's not even a two minute walk. My four day stay was great.

Nice rooms. Stayed 2 nights cleaning staff clean up after first night real good. No stupid rules. Pool was clean. 4 feet deep. Air-conditioning rooms with modern control's, worked the way they are supposed to.
Picnic table and other out side chairs conveniently around.
Outside area was clean. Help was friendly. Reasonable price.

Beautiful room, beautiful property, would stay again. If you're in the area I would highly recommend checking out the go-kart track that's a few miles down the road. Huge track, so much fun!

It is reasonable and convenient to downtown Alexandria Bay. There is a restaurant that you can walk to. The grocery store and drug store is nearby

Alicia was outstanding! She attended to every detail and need of our arrangements for accomodations for our family reunion last July. We reserved 8 rooms which were very comfortable. She made sure each room was suited to the type of room requested (from age <1yr to >90yrs). Even though the motel does not include breakfast, Alicia allowed us, and even had an area in the backyard set up for us, to gather so we could supply a continental breakfast for our family, including those who were camping nearby. This was a perfect location. It was quiet and convenient, a short walk to the Bay. There is a very good restaurant next door which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All of the help was very friendly at Capts Inn and Suites! We will definitely return!

Great location within walking distance of town and attractions. Super clean room! Pergo flooring. Lots of towels. AC working, mini fridge in room. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely go back again.
