The Ledges Resort And Marina

My husband and I had the most relaxing three days at Ledges! Our cottage was perfect. Beautiful views, the grounds were gorgeous with flowers everywhere! The built in pool was very clean and perfect after a day sight seeing and shopping. We have rented many cottages over the years in different locations, this one was by far the best!

Best vacation ever. First vacation I’ve spent where I didn’t have to worry about a thing. They dropped Wood, propane and other items and collected garbage daily. They also helped get Great Grandpa to and from the dock/cottage with their golf carts.

Unfortunately costs, just like everything else, skyrocketed.

I am in love. I don’t want to leave. Loon cottage is amazing and amazing….amazing. I am in love. Cottages are incredibly clean, attention to detail is incredible! I am in love and I don’t want to leave!!!

- there are fire pits with fire food readily available (we bought starter candle from a nearby store)
- there are docks from which you can catch fish (perch and sunfish)
- the place is fully equipped with utmost attention to detail
- cottage was incredibly clean
- lots of grassy area for your child to run around and catch fireflies
- the cottage had a full bag of locally sold coffee (instead of lousy one cup coffee packs you get at a hotel)

Just amazing. But I don’t want you to book here so there is more time left for me! I am selfish :( I like it that much :)

We had a great three-night stay in the Shipwatch cabin! It is perfect for a couple or small family. The management was very responsive and thinks of everything, the cabin was fully stocked with kitchen utensils, everything was clean. Canoes and kayaks are right on the water and ready if you don't bring or rent a boat. Alexandria Bay is a fun little town with lots of do.

Overall We loved our stay. The cabin was very modern and cozy. We wish there was parking near the cabin because the walk all the way down to the marina was a toll for our young neice and older family members everyday if we wished to go somewhere. That was our biggest complaint. We got yelled at when we parked our car near the cabin to unload fishing gear. Otherwise, owners we're super helpful and friendly. A little pricy for the weekend but...will be on the list to check into the next visit to the islands.

A beautiful resort on a pristine property. We rented a boat and we were able to dock it right at the dock of our floating cottage. We didn’t expect all the extra amenities the resort offered. Owners, Nick and Amy, were very accommodating answering every question we had. The staff was equally pleasant. Our cottage was beautifully appointed with fantastic details giving it that cottage feel one would expect. Though there was no on-site dining we were less than a mile from downtown where all the action is and we certainly took advantage of the grill on the dock for a couple of our meals. We will definitely be returning.

I stayed in the lighthouse cottage and it had absolutely stunning views. The cottage was very clean and very easy to check in/out of. I will definitely be returning in the near future.

Perfect location the cabins are modern and very clean....BTW the owners are great and very accommodating

This was such an AMAZING weekend for us and the two other couples that were there with us. I brought our boat and to be able to pull it right up the the floating house (The Lighthouse) was so unique and convenient. It was great sitting on the deck and watching all of the boats come in and out of the marina. It had every amenity that we needed and was very comfortable and homey. Having the boat there made it so easy to go tour the Boldt Castle and just cruise around and look at all of the beautiful houses all along the St Lawrence. The owners and staff were so hospitable and accommodating and made our stay unforgettable. They made sure the fire pits had plenty of wood every night and the grounds are very well kept.
I would highly recommend The Ledges Resort to anyone who loves being by the water.

My family of four stayed in the Heron cottage. We enjoyed the view of the River there. Kitchen was great and nice bathroom. My wife and I enjoyed our mornings sitting outside on the Adirondack chairs watching the boats & large ships pass by. Very close to downtown Alex Bay. I would highly recommend for a small family or couple. Thanks Amy, Nick and Chris.

We have made the Ledges a yearly tradition in our family. We are now up to grand parents, aunts, and uncles all coming.
Amy and her husband do any amazing job. The access to the water is only matched by the tranquility. I am writing this review at 640pm in the middle of the summer season and there is absolute silence. The grounds are so well maintained and accommodations are top notch.

Our family could not think of staying anywhere else!!!

We bring the whole family up for a week of relaxation on the river. The homes are super cosy and we love the fire pits!

My husband, two boys (10 & 3) and I stayed at the Ledges Resort & Marina Shipwatch property in late September and it was a lovely experience. We had a great, relaxing time during our stay. After having surgery for organ donation in late summer, this was a welcome get away! Both beds were so soft and comfortable, the living room, bathroom and kitchen area were perfect and had just about everything we needed. We were grateful to have appliances, cookware, dinnerware and silverware readily available for us! Some things I'd suggest to be included in the cottage would be a tissue box, a broom/Swiffer and maybe a shower shelf to hold toiletries/soap inside the shower for future guests. We also especially enjoyed having a campfire with the kids every night--thanks so much for the wood bundles!

In addition, the property itself is beautifully kept. There is a large open grassy area behind three of the cottages. It was perfect for the boys to run around, roll around and play. It was a nice quick walk to the office, if you wanted to pop in for a quick question. The property overlooks the river and we were even able to see the Boldt Castle from our kitchen window! A lovely view indeed!

The owners were friendly and accommodating and were easily reached by phone call or text. We look forward to returning, hopefully with a larger party, in the near future! Thanks for having us!

For my wife and my 9th Anniversary, we stayed in the petite "Island" cottage. It was a perfect little lakeside villa for a couple. The scenery was beautiful - boats coming and going and a nice view of Boldt Castle on the horizon.
Our accommodations could have used a deep clean, but were overall well maintained and had plenty of amenities. Bring some food to grill - they have all the plates, utensils, etc! Fire pit access, hammocks, and a kayak/canoe (all community shared) were great activities.

We've stayed here for a couple of summers and I just made another reservation. Since they renovated a couple years ago it's been really cute and nice. We like it because it's on the water and there's dockage available. The grounds are gorgeous. It's also convenient to downtown, but still far enough away to feel like we have some privacy. We're looking forward to going back again this year!

I've stayed here the past couple of summers with my friend. I love the place! The cottages are very clean and well stocked with extra pillows and blankets and towels. And the view can't be beat- it's right across from Boldt Castle! We watched the fire works over the Castle from the Ledges gazebo on 4th of July one year. There are fire pits and grills, stocked with logs and everything else you might need for grilling out or having a nice fire in the evening. The owners really think of everything. And, if by chance they haven't, all you have to do is ask. They are very happy to help. It's also easy walking distance to the heart of the village where there's lots of shopping and restaurants.

I am not a nature lover or a cottage goer but The Ledges Resort and Marina made me a converter. My family and I recently spent the weekend at the property and were so impressed with the serene grounds; the homely accommodations; and most of all, the hospitality. The owners of Ledges have incorporated every aspect of a cottage getaway into their property but with a polished twist. I highly recommend The Ledges Resort and Marina to anyone who is looking for a superior getaway. You will not be disappointed.

An absolutely beautiful location, we stayed at sparrow cottage, newly constructed in 2022, and loved it. Each fire pit comes stocked with wood, kindling and paper.

A beautifully new restored, one bedroom cottage facing the channel. The owners are wonderful, and the view is spectacular. I highly recommend this nicely decorated cottage; perfect for couples.

We absolutely loved staying here. Can't wait to book again!
