Everything we ate was spectacular. The food came out fast, the staffs hospitality was very helpful and friendly. All of the ingredients tasted fresh and expertly cooked. The perfect place for some GOOD Thai.

My first time in Des Moines, I was glad to see a highly rated Thai spot. I ordered through Uber eats and food was delivered in a timely manner. The food was well packaged. I order chicken satay, chicken red curry and beef prik khing.
The chicken satay was decent 3/5 and could use some flavor.
The chicken red curry was awesome 4/5, I ordered 4 ⭐ for spiciness but wasn’t that spicy. But dish was delicious.
The beef prik khing was the highlight of the night, 5/5 had absolute flavor and spices were strong. I ordered it as 5⭐ in spiciness and it perfect. Paired with rice, it was great.
All in all, it was a great meal and would def eat here again.

Great spot for Asian food. The quantities here are always generous and a lot of times leave with a to go box. The food is great, and they seem to have greatly improved since their snafu with the food inspector. They have a lot of options in their menu and everyone will definitely be able to find something they like. I really loved the yellow curry and the ambiance here is perfect for a date night!

I hadn't been here in over 5 years, so it was a nice surprise to know that the food and service are still great. I enjoy having menu choices. I went to lunch for my birthday and had a fantastic time. The waitress brought out mini-cheesecakes to celebrate my day.
We were seated immediately. There was a steady flow of hungry people, but no long lines. The food was fresh and hot. We were served immediately after ordering.

I had an awesome time at cool Basil! The food came super fast, within 5 minutes of ordering. It was delicious, and I could finish my whole meal. Plus, they've got vegan options, which is fantastic! Definitely coming back.

Good curry, especially the massaman curry. Really good flavor and spicy level 1 is already spicy enough. Good portion sizes, good customer service, fair pricing.

As soon as we walked in I knew it was going to be a great experience. The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly, and when we got our food, it was the best thing about this place. I ordered the house salad and orange chicken, being thoroughly impressed with both. The house salad was a great blend of tastes and vegetables, the orange chicken being a tangy, sweet, slightly crispy dish sent from heaven. The staff was always friendly and patient, being able to feed our party of around 15 people. If I'm in the area, I'm definitely coming here again.

Very good. The atmosphere is more upscale than I thought it would be. I had the special: crispy noodles and pad Thai. Wow! So good. I had enough for a great lunch the next day, too. My son had a duck curry. I tasted it. Very fragrant and tasty. After 18% tip, we paid about$32 per person.

Our daughter took us to dinner here for the first time. They were very busy, but quick to seat us & serve us. Large variety on the menu. DELICIOUS FLAVORFUL FOOD WITH OUTSTANDING SERVICE! Didn't get our servers name, but he was GREAT (maybe this will help - he had red hair).

Have been here twice in the last two weeks. Enjoyed every bite!

If you want fresh fried rice with colorful vegetables as steamed tomatoes, onions and parsley then this is the place to get a heaping palate full of tasteful goodness. The prices are average, parking good and service is fast. The new menu has a plethora of options for vegans and those who want to taste all the intoxicating flavors!

I think this might be one of the better restaurants of this type in the Des Moines area. The food is always good. The menu is gigantic which most of the time is a bad sign but somehow they pull it off. I recommend a sushi roll with a mango salad. A 3 is about the right spice level if you like some spice; subject to your tolerance level of course

My wife and I went here as a last minute date night thing. We got in and were greeted immediately. The hostess was very nice and seated us right away. We were given ice water as we sat down to decide on our meal. We each got a lovely drink from the bar and 2 menu items. The food was great and beautifully presented. We had an overall great time and will definitely be back next time.

Love love love this place for the amazing food they make. Their Tom Yum soup and Garlic Egg noodles are beyond words to describe and they always make it to my order every time. The dine in experience is also great where you can have a pretty private space. Their service too is super fast.

My absolute favorite Asian restaurant in the Des Moines area. It’s a hidden gem! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I eat here probably every 2 weeks. They have a huge menu and probably about half or more can be made gluten free. I recommend the Bubble Teas, Chicken Satay, and of course gluten free fried rice. I get takeout too and it’s very fast.

This restaurant is amazing!
Great decor, process and the quality of the food is incredible. I was surprised at the portion sizes and there was more than I could finish (have leftovers!).
Highly recommend you stop by and enjoy the experience!

After moving homes, I don’t live next to Thai Flavors to order from there as much. I decided to order from Cool Basil and it’s the exact same like at Thai Flavors. I’m literally addicted to their sushi!! A bonus is that at Cool Basil they have the tempura appetizer which is SOOOO GOOD 😊 I tried curbside and inside order pickup, their service is fast! I never have to wait for my food when I arrive

Amazing asain cuisine! It was so delicious! We loved the appetizer sampler and the Des Moines Sushi Roll. They have have pretty much everything here, including sushi, noodle, rice, stir fry, and curry dishes. It's a huge menu. Prices range from fairly cheap (under $10 a meal) to more high end ($15-18 for a sushi roll). The atmosphere was also very calm, high-quality, and relaxing, despite the restaurant being very busy. We will be back!
