MJ'S café

I wanted to wait until I dined in before writing a review but the pinto beans I just picked up was so good I have to say something. This is must try and go to vegan/vegetarian place. My only regret is not coming sooner when I was originally informed. See you guys soon. Will update review with better pictures when I dine in.

I did a search for Vegan food near airport and it let me to MJ’s. The staff is informative and friendly, Andrea helped me out today and she was a delight.

The atmosphere here is open, modern and comfortable. They had nice, seasonal decorations throughout the dining room and in the tables. So cute!

Now to the real reason I stopped in…the food! They have so many vegan options and it was nice to be able to have breakfast. They had a couple specials and I chose the Pumpkin Pie French Toast. It wasn’t too sweet, it was just right. I paired it with a Hazelnut Oatmilk latte and could not be more pleased.

I highly recommended this spot, vegan or not.

My first time here on a friend's recommendation. The lemonade was tasty. I ordered The French sandwich with a side salad. I was very impressed with the freshness of everything on the plate. The sandwich was absolutely perfect! Now, I need to try the rest of the menu. You can't beat the atmosphere or the service. A hidden gem in plain sight. Don't pass it up!!

I travel through this area about once a year and always make a point to stop here for lunch. One of my favorite spots and the staff is always super nice. Highly recommended if you are looking for a healthy and simple spot in Baton Rogue.

We were excited to try this place and were not disappointed. The menu doesn't do justice to how good the food is when it comes out - they need pictures on it! Not everything is plant based/vegan - they do have vegetarian options and even a shrimp item. The broccoli soup was amazing. Prices very reasonable for the quality.. except was a but shocked at the $7 oatmeal cookie price tag (but It was delicious ;)) We wish they were open for dinner.
There is a parking lot in the back with plenty of parking.

The food is delicious and nutritious. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I look forward to returning. Great vegan options that are enjoyable.

One of my favorite places to eat in Baton Rouge. The food is always tasty and delicious. I enjoy the spacious seating, quality and consistency of the food and taste, and of course all of the healthy options.

The black bean torta was phenomenal. I'm neither vegan nor vegetarian and will definitely be going back again. Delicious.

Food and staff were great! This is one of the best places I go to for a vegan meal. The Hippie Garden sandwich is the absolute best! I had a tomato and squash soup mixed together (recommended by one of the staff)...DELICIOUS!!!
Be sure to try this place out.

Excellent quality and selection at around $15 for lunch. Multiple vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Great rotating soup selection. I’ve never had a bad meal from MJ’s Cafe!!

Delicious lunch at MJs cafe! Last visit I picked the Bbq chickpea salad, which was so tasty and filling. Today, I chose the falafel salad that comes with tomatoes, pickled red onions, cucumber, tzatziki sauce, and crispy flavorful falafel. I was so excited to eat it that I forgot to take a photo before digging in! The flavors worked perfectly with the sauce and was the perfect serving size.

Cute and spacious place with a wonderful selection of unique menu items. I had the Thai salad and a mimosa, both were tasty. The service is delightful and the atmosphere is relaxing.

I like the atmosphere walking in the door. I had a virtual business meeting and it was the prefect please to grab lunch. Plus I came on time for the cookie happy hour.

They were awesome at white star, glad to see then have their own location. They did expand to more than just vegan, but they're still plant-based. Still delicious

Wonderful food! I had the cleanse salad and it was a great portion size and made me feel refreshed! Delicious corn chowder soup - so happy this place exists :) I 100% recommend!

MJ'S ambience is reminiscent of Southern antiquities meets eclectic charm. The energy is welcoming and relaxed. They also sell antiques.

The food exceeded my taste expectations. The black bean soup and West African peanut soup were delicious. If you're looking for a Vegan/Vegetarian dining experience in Baton Rouge, I highly recommend stopping by MJ'S Cafe.

MJ's is the best! Everything is fresh and delicious! As you can see from the photos I keep going back! They have a great choose two deal!

Food was delicious (french toast, breakfast quesadillas, tacos, and hash). Latte was great and the flavored lemonades were yummy! Service was excellent! Andrea was so patient and thorough in taking care of our table with young kids! I can't wait to come through there on our next trip and hit MJs again!

Everything is delicious here! This is what we need more of in Baton Rouge - delicious, healthy, and filling meals cooked fresh.

Also, MJ's has my favorite iced latte (with oat milk) in town. Seriously good coffee here too.
