First time here and I will definitely be back! Food was delicious! Fast friendly service. Waitress was great!

My mom and I stopped here for breakfast, and were so pleased with our experience. Service was wonderful, food was delicious. I especially loved the homefries/potato and my mom loved her corned beef and French toast. If I lived in the area, I would return!

I visit Hartford frequently for work. The food is amazing and the people even better. They remember your favorite order and get you fed fast. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and this place makes it even better.

10.22.22 We parked right up front on the street. It wasn't really busy when we showed up. Several 1 person and a couple, couples. Our coffees came fast and service was fast. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Food also came out super fast and good portions for the price. Overall a great experience.

This was a lovely diner to go to for an early breakfast, we had a big day and were happy to see a place open this early! The food and pricing was great, and the staff were friendly and nice :) Would recommend if you're here for a trip or need somewhere to eat bright and early!

Wanted someplace to eat a really good Sunday morning breakfast and decided on Ashley's. Not only was the the food sumptuous and delicious, the staff courteous and attentive but the atmosphere is retro and cozy. But the greatest charge I had out of this dining experience was having a total anonymous stranger preemptively paid for the entire meal! I was shocked and in disbelief. And would add that to another great reason to eat at Ashley's.

I try to stop in for breakfast almost every week and have for years.

The food is always outstanding and the service friendly and fast.

My husband and I were visiting from out of town, and lodging in the area. It was Thanksgiving Day and we were searching for breakfast; we came across ‘Ashley’s Restaurant’. Thankfully, when we called to confirm business hours, they were open. We walked in and were greeted by a warm cook and waitress who expressed we can sit at the bar or an available booth. But before sitting, we happened to notice an old, black and white photo of a beautiful woman on the wall. The menu was filled with options and exceptional pricing. Amongst the cook and waitress, was a tablebuster who was cleaning the tables and an Old Woman. The Old Woman was pacing back and forth, adding to the flow of business. As she was caring two containers of cream to the cooler, she began walking back towards our direction and we met eyes with the Old Woman. My husband ask, “Are you Ashley?” The Old Woman responded, “Yes, I am Ashley.” During the time in which our food was being prepared, Ashley explained that is a native of Greece and moved here to Hartford, CT in 1960, at 24 years old and knowing little English but had a desire to continue her business in the United States. During the time we were speaking with Ashley, we learned how passionate, caring, and loving she was in her business and food. We then received our food. We ate….happily. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was bliss. We left having been full and knowing the beautiful story of a woman whose passion showed spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Visit Ashley’s Restaurant, you will not regret having experienced food with a tale.

This is one of my favorite breakfast places. I go here with my girlfriend from time to time. It’s really simple and small but the vibe is just right. Expectations are realistic, prices are totally reasonable and I always enjoy my meal. We had a tuna sandwich and Ashley’s Special 2 for lunch. (Well brunch) service is always quick. The only suggestion I would have is that they really should take payments at the table. You have to get up to pay at the front register.

I've been coming to Ashley's in Hartford for 25 years. The food was always amazing and back then the owner cooked all the food by herself with soul. The resturant is small but the food is good. Her son is cooking now and other family is hosting and waitressing. So, the service is a little faster. The owner walks around and blesses everyone with her presence, and she's always smiling. It's awesome to see she's taking it easy and is enjoying her golden years. Her son food is good too but I will forever cherish how amazing her food taste. I don't know what coffee this resturant uses but it's good. This is a little gem located downtown Hartford. Thank you!

This is one of the first places I ate after landing in Hartford and I have been going there ever since. The food is great and my favorite is French toast and Banana pancakes. A special mention to their home fries which are a great substitute for french fries in my opinion. John needs to be recognized for handling the kitchen all by himself. Please give it a try if you are traveling to or around Hartford :)

The service was also excellent - our waiter was attentive and friendly, checking in on us regularly without being intrusive. The restaurant was busy, but we never felt rushed or forgotten about.

This is a great diner. The waitress and cook are very friendly not to mention how much we enjoyed our breakfast. The portions are sizable, the bacon is not undercooked, the over-easy eggs are not overcooked, and the hash browns are nice and crispy. Does not disappoint!

This little Greek lady has been doing this for 40+ years (always with a sincere, simple smile). Breakfast was amazing, service spectacular, and we will come back. If you’re in the area make sure to stop in. 😁

It's uncomplicated breakfast at a homely diner. What more can I say?

Oh yeah. I had very fluffy pancakes with tasty sausage links, and freshly brewed coffee. The staff is kind and attentive, making you feel like a local, no matter where are you from.

Great place for breakfast and brunch. Also, they served breakfast all day long. Staffs are super friendly and their home fries are simply amazing.

Came to Connecticut for the Tommy’s Tattoo Convention and this was the highest praised breakfast spot!! And it was absolutely spot on!!

I like to call them Ol’ Reliable. Great prices, tasty food and portion sizes and great customer service! I’ve gotten breakfast and lunch from here several times, never disappointed!

The French toast is really good and my favorite also has nice service too
