Had my Mercedes in for an inspection at a different shop that tried telling me my brakes failed. As soon as I explained the situation they knew what was going on. They checked my brakes free of charge and let me know I have over 50% brake life left. Black Forest saved me thousands of dollars. If you have a European performance car you shouldn't be going anywhere else, this shop cares. Jason and Michael are the best and this is the only place I’ll take my cars from now on.

Michael and Jason are a rare pair to find, especially as a female car enthusiast. They treat my worries and concerns with a gravity and attention to detail that leads one to realize that you’re in good hands. My 328xi wagon and the RS5 get the same degree of care and attention. Highly recommended

First of all, this place is freaking awesome, I'm so glad that I found Black Forest Motorsports for my VW CC 3.6 4motion modification.
Secondly, thanks to the modification planning from Jason and his team, the stuff went flawless, although the rust delayed the time for a bit. After modification, as you can see from the picture, my car looks way nicer and the performance (suspension, horizontal tilt, etc.) made me almost think I got a new car. Awesome work and good price compare to many other places I have visited.
Furthermore, unlike many other people into Motorsports (appearance-sport lol), Jason focus more on the performance of the car rather than simple looks, and that's exactly what I am looking for to deal with my car: I don't need fancy aerodynamic surroundings, but I do need powerful engine and stable suspension. Performance-oriented philosophy is the way to go in the current Motorsports trend. Also, I would say Jason is very honest about not putting useless parts on the car, unlike many other modification shops that recommend putting as much useless junk as possible.
Lastly, I would highly recommend people who own European cars to Jason's shop to have regular maintenance and advanced modification. I'm sure Jason will make a plan for your vehicle depend on your needs!

Took my Jetta TDI in for a timing belt/water pump replacement. They did a great job and are great at keeping people informed. This is the place to go if you own a European car. Seemed very professional

Can't say enough about these guys. They are the ONLY people I have work on my 03' Porsche 911 C4S. Super professional, spot on with estimates and always upfront with you and do super work you don't worry about. That's pretty hard to find in any type of business. They have taken good care of my used Audi A5, after I gave up trying to work with the dealer service dept due to delays, poor communication, etc. Black Forest has stuck to their promises on time-frames, got things fixed the first time, and taken time to patiently answer my questions. All for fees I consider reasonable for this type of car. Happy to recommend based upon my experiences here over the last few years.

They squeezed me in last minute and solved my problem while I waited. They were friendly, transparent, and easy going. It can be hard to find good BMW mechanics and I do believe these folks are the real deal. I'd certainly wager you're better off with this shop than the dealer service center around the corner for a out-of-warranty BMW.

Jason and his crew had me in and out for my 5 series. Professional, courteous, very knowledgeable. He answered all of my dumb questions. Super clean and comfortable waiting room. Darryl in the shop is a great Euro mechanic. Will absolutely return for regular maintenance and tune.

Michael helped me out in a jam and came through with the best service I have ever encountered with a mechanics shop. They are true professionals and only recommended the services I needed and followed up with a complete report, including really good photos. Jason runs a great shop… exceptionally fair labor rates… honest, and looks out for the customer. I’ve had multiple services done here, and I wouldn’t want any other Euro Mechanics touching my car!

Discovered Black Forest Motorsport a year ago through word of mouth and have used them twice since.
Service both times on my MK1 GTI was great and turnaround time was quick. I wouldn't trust just anyone with a 34 year old original, but the recommendations I got proved true and Jason and Dale took extra car of the old Rabbit.
Give them a shot.

What can I say these guys are great . Have been bringing my vehicles here for a good 5 years now and have never had a problem. Recently did a suspension job on my 911 and I’m super pleased as expected. It’s nice to have things done correctly and without a fuss so leaving them praise again as they have consistently been great. Only downsides are the chairs in the waiting area are comfy and hard to get out of so it’s easy to fall asleep 😴

I can't say enough about the professionalism, quality, and character of the team at Black Forest. Jason and Michael were exceptionally responsive, accommodating, careful, and thorough. I took in a used VW I just bought for a post-purchase inspection and a timing belt, water pump, thermostat replacement. The estimate I received was clear and detailed. Prices were more than fair. Jason intuitively understood I was looking to check the essential mechanical condition of the car, less the cosmetic or superficial, and didn't charge more than was necessary. Responsibly recommended more cost-effective exhaust repairs elsewhere. He even made time for a preliminary listen of a suspension noise prior to my scheduled appointment. Very grateful for how he explained each issue--enough detail for someone not so experienced with cars to understand, not too much to confuse. They clearly respect their customers, appreciate the cars. For anyone with a European model auto looking to have work done, you've found the place to take it. I recently traded in my Audi for a non-luxury vehicle. The saddest part is that I won't be able to go to Jason and his team anymore! Jason is an awesome and honest mechanic with excellent customer service. He breaks things down in a way that is easy to understand and will even show you what he is talking about if you are not a car person. He provides you with honest opinions about repairs and costs, including what isn't really necessary and a variety of ways to approach issues.

Had been searching for a reliable and trustworthy mechanic to work on my Audi A4 and I cannot say enough good things about the place. Jason saved me a ton of money with his honesty about not needing any brake work done. I will definitely be returning to them for any work in the future.

Stupid, rip off BMW dealership in Syracuse tried to charge 6k for an engine repair. Other scummy auto repair shop guy did not even want to repair my car, just pretty much wanted to buy my vehicle. These guys did it a great job and got it fixed for 2k. Fantastic people, my go to guys. Talking about going from a feeling of depression to ecstasy.

I trusted this place with my only automobile.They not only exceeded but vastly surpassed my expectations and knowledge of the prior items on the car and fully involved me in the vetting process of picking new parts throughout the service. 100% will be going to them again for my performance and maintenance needs as this is a high quality shop that dishes out high quality service. I wouldn't take my APR Volkswagen GTI to anyone else in Western New York.
