The best roller coaster on earth. That first drop is beyond extraordinary and will make anyone scream out of either awe, horror, or adrenaline. The seat-flipping makes the roller coaster completely unique and catches every single rider off-guard. The theming and special elements, like the fireworks, music, or night-ride experience, make this a once-in-a-lifetime experience that cannot be missed. Simply insane, death-defying, and completely thrilling - to EVERYONE who rides it. A must-do. I’d wait literally any time in line for it, and it does have 3 hour waits regularly.

Line can back up but the ride is worth the wait.

This is the only ride the seats spin while in motion and it will leave you wanting to ride again and again.

The old bird jammed up at end of ride. Spent a rather pleasant 30min or so stuck in restraints. Nobody even came close to getting hurt, supposed that’s why we couldn’t stay on for the test run.

ABSOLUTELY THE SCARIEST RIDE EVER!! You may pass out briefly, like one of my girls did. We went on a Monday and there were no lines!! It was great!! ****FYI - Magic Mountain DOES NOT ACCEPT CASH THROUGHOUT THE PARK****.... You have t to use a debit or credit card or use the kiosk inside park to convert cash to a debit card usable inside and outside theme park.

One of the craziest roller coasters you’ll ever ride. 💯 % adrenaline, won’t disappoint.
Highly recommend to ride with your family and friends it’s really fun.

My experience on X2, the ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain is definitely a 10 out of 10 experience. Definitely intense and is a worth it ride for tourists, and to have fun in general. Totally love this ride.

Hands down the most extreme ride at SFMM, and just one of the most extreme rides in the world.

It's a bit on the rougher side, but the inside seats are slightly better. It's also much better (read "scarier") during the day.

The line gets EXTREMELY long (2-3+ hours) during the weekend and holidays. They also operate with only one car, so the line moves very slowly.

Best ride in the park. 😮‍💨 Definitely ride this one while you are there.

It was great because there weren't load of people. Wait time for rides was little to none. My kids and I had the most amazing and memorable time.

I drinking water before this ride. Wow this ride was amazing and intense at the same time. The drop was upside down and backwards then the loop, was wow fun time. I went on here 2 times then I was done after going on rides before it during the day. It's not my top favorite which actually goes to wonder women flight of courage. This ride is number 2 and is way more fun than twisted collossus yet shorter. I must go to ride and be prepared. I'm very brave.

So much fun 🙌🏼 Six flags is so much better with how things are restricted because of covid. Since only a sekect amount of people are allowed thru a day,, its not over crowded. You don't have to wait multiple hours for one ride. Each ride was a short wait without the fast pass. 20 mins later i was nxt in line to get on x2. I highly recommend this ride! I hope the limited visitors each day stays forever🤞🏼💕

This is my new favorite ride. Not only is it packed with loops and turns, but the rotating motion keeps you guessing what is next. The execution of both the track and car rotation is done rather well to create a fun, exhilarating and new experience. I highly recommend riding this coaster at your next visit to Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Super awesome one of the original OG roller coasters been riding this thing since I was a kid I'm 36 now highly recommended it was also in the movie Encino Man with Pauly shore and Brendan Fraser

My absolute favorite rollercoaster that is still standing. I am a rollercoaster junkie and was a little intimidated about riding it. It was a slow day and I only waited about 20 minutes. Last time I was there in 2022 I waited almost an hour to ride. You will never forget flipping at the top of the lift hill, facing the ground below and hearing Aerosmith sing "Going downnnn". It's the only rollercoaster that has ever gotten me to scream and close my eyes. I rode it another eight times that day eyes open and giggling all the way through. I miss the audio that used to play and it seems to have gotten rougher since 2014. It would also be nice if they could devise a sort of damper system for the spinning gear as the outside seats get rather janky and can wack you in the back of the head. I've heard that the inside seats ride a little better but cannot verify as the outside seat is the only one for me. Everytime I visit my cousins in Southern California I absolutely have to spend a day at SFMM and X2 is the first and last ride at the park. Be mindful of when you go as if the Santa Anna winds are blowing then they don't open the ride. I was there in 2019 and was told that X2 can dish it but can't take it. Bummed me out. Full Throttle and Twisted Colossus rock, too!

THE BEST ride in all of Six flags! Hands down. Not for the easily frightened. This ride has a near vertical drop and each individual seat rotates and spins independent of the coaster. It is worth the 2 hour wait.

The coolest ride I have ever been on! Hands down. A wild ride from start to finish.

This is definitely the best coaster in the park. The first drop is super fun and scary, and the rotating seats make the experience so much more amazing. While it can be rough sometimes, I feel like most people can look past that and enjoy what it delivers, especially when the music and fire are working.

Awesome experience. Nothing beats the first drop position, terrifying!!! It is always over too quickly and the line is definitely worth waiting in , regardless of how long it is. We always rush to X2 from the park opening and get 2 goes before the line gets too long, this sets us up for the day!! Just a brilliant ride.
