Black Ivory Cafe

Wow! I am so surprised. I didn't realize that ShabuShabu had a coffee place inside. I had the Chicken Katsu Sandwich and the ingredients were fresh and the chicken was so crispy, I had a mocha along with my breakfast and it was great too. You can even get a boba early in the morning! Next time I will. Try it out you won't be disappointed.

I visited this morning since my usual place wasn't open, and I'm so extremely pleased I did.

The staff was attentive and showed me where things like the water and restroom were, which is simple but it made the experience welcoming.

I had the chicken katsu sandwich which I could hear the staff fried fresh. With the sauces and all the fresh veges it was so far above my expectations for the price.

My iced Americano was also quite good.

Strong recommend.

If you just got back from Korea and are looking for a local place to get coffee and a savory breakfast, check out Black Ivory. I ordered a Café Latte and Chok. The coffee is strong, albeit a touch milky while still being very good. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast, Chok. It had a very good flavor of cilantro, ginger, and black pepper, very savory, and just overall tasty. The chicken and shrimp balls were so good, and the egg added a nice touch. The music and ambiance were also relaxing and soothing. Made me miss Korea more than I already do lol.

Amazing find! We were looking for a boba cafe for lunch, and the khao soi on the menu caught my eye, so we decided to stop by. We ordered a taro milk tea, a black ivory milk tea, khao soi, and Nana chicken & waffle.

The drinks were refreshing, and both dishes were so delicious! My husband who doesn't normally like chicken and waffles really enjoyed this one. We both couldn't get enough of the khao soi! As a bonus, the artwork was beautiful and really elevated the experience. We had a wonderful time - we will be back!

This is my first time here and I love finding new and cool coffee shops. The coffee is really good and I had never had any of the food but I tried the Chok and it was really good! It is a cute but fancy place attached to a restaurant. Has the vibe of a cafe where you can do some work or hang out with friends, but still get some good and filling food. The staff are really nice and I am definitely going to come back with friends!

The beverage and breakfast of Black Ivory were beyond delicious. If you're looking for a chill area to do you're work and eat good, this is the place! Ps. The Nana Chicken waffle is the best.

Nana’s chicken and waffles was SO good! I used to live in Japan and okonomiyaki was one of my favorite dishes, so when I saw “okonomiyaki” in the description I knew I had to try it. I wasn’t sure how it would work in a waffle form, but wow! It was amazing!

Definitely planning on coming back to try more items on the menu and support this new cafe. Seems like a great place to work remotely. The staff were really friendly too!

I recently moved to the area from NJ/NY. I've had plenty of bubble tea in the past but this place has the best tapioca hands down. They're large and super soft which I love. Also the variety of tea flavors is great. It's my first time seeing horchata included on a boba menu and I think more places should have it. I come back often because it's that good.

Really cool place, great food, great coffee, and friendly service! I love the Native American and American celebrities tribute photos decorating the walls. The guy who took my order is an artist so he did all the artwork in the restaurant. The coffee shop is inside ShabaShabu restaurant.

There is a ton of different seating styles here. There are office chairs lining a long table along the window for solo diners who are doing work. There are small circle tables that seat 4 in the middle, and then there are a couple of small sofa w/2 stand-alone chairs and a bench for a chic group vibe (probably for drinks). Also, there is a large table for formal dining groups. A little something of everything to welcome all sorts of diners!

I had the Asian breakfast (Chok, which is a porridge) and coffee but can’t wait to come back for dinner. When my porridge was ready, a woman came over to explain how I should eat it properly (by adding in a little of the crispy noodles in small bits at a time) and told me about the fresh ginger and the other ingredients. Juan prepared my Americano and told me about the artwork. Definitely a 5-star service and quality place!

Ps: it looks like they serve wine here too.

Just had a fabulous Saturday morning brunch. The Bangkok burrito was delicious and my cappuccino was made to perfection. Service was great and it was a perfect place to sit and enjoy our meal and conversation. Definitely will return soon.

Not really a breakfast place, but they have unique and delicious Asian food. The curry was authentic and super flavorful. The Asian twist on chicken and waffles was unlike anything I've ever had. I recommend the "less sweet" option for the drinks - it's the perfect amount of sweetness.

Took me a bit to actually find it, but I'm so glad I did! I got the pomegranate fruit tea with brown sugar boba. The tea was flavorful and the boba was an amazing addition. This was a quiet place to enjoy a treat, and the service was great. Will definitely come back again!

All the foods that we ordered was good 🎈 Khaosoi and Chok have an authentic flavor and I highly recommend it ! Coffee was also great as well ✨🤌🏼

Very clean but also casual atmosphere, the food is fan-freaking-tastic. Get the Khao Soi or Nana's Chicken and Waffle for something truely different and delicious.

The barrista does truely wonderful things to those beans to make HANDS DOWN the best cappuccino in town ( yes better than that place you like).

Will be going back here for lunch OFTEN.

Stayed at a hotel nearby and saw this place on google. Man so glad we found it. It was sooo good. We got the veggie burrito and I don’t know what was in it nor what the sauce was but it was so yummy!

This place was a little hard to find without a clear sign but it’s in the Thai place. You go in their doors and turn right for coffee and left for Thai.

Several vegan/vegetarian options with tofu. Was unsure of this place when we arrive but I left a total fan and ready to go back. We both got lattes to drink. One hot and one cold and the cold latte was amazing. My hot latte was good but average but something about the cold made it fantastic.

Very relaxed and good looking coffee shop. The staff are VERY friendly and they have a good selection of options. I typically come by for a drink while waiting for a sushi order from Shaba Shabu. They also have a lot of very good artwork!

Wonderful food and coffees/teas. Everything is made to order, and it is a one-man operation, so plan on a little extra time. Well worth it, great flavors and textures.

Just like the label says! I am extremely picky about my tea, and no place in town can live up to this place. The fruit tea is flavorful without tasting artificial and the milk teas are delightfully creamy. The owner is always open to feedback and genuinely seems delighted to experiment with different flavors and combinations. I wish I lived closer so I could come here all the time! Highly recommend the carbonated lychee tea with crystal boba.

Charles was very helpful and kind. He came up to us right away to see if we had any question. I honestly did not like my matcha drink at first, but he was happy to fix it for me. The drink was very good after, thank you Charles.
