Bent Nails Bistro

Intriguing art abounds in every corner of this bar and the plethora of disco balls encourages one to get their groove on. It’s a terrific venue for bands looking to reach an appreciative crowd of live music lovers. Service was friendly and excellent, willing to mix you a grandpa’s whisky sour with Squirt. Not your typical bar fare here with coq au vin over noodles and gumbo that was a standout.

What a superbly delicious and quirky little place! We stopped by Montpelier to charge our car and came across the Bent Nails Bistro after the Saturday lunch crowd left. The co-owner was so friendly and served us fantastic European-inspired classics with an elevated and modern twist. Everything was perfect! From the non-alcoholic beer (really important when you’re on a road trip!) to dessert and coffee, including the nice terrace on the bridge and did I mention the friendly service? We had ratatouille, the grilled aubergine sandwich and the spaghetti with homemade meat balls. I would have stayed the whole day just enjoying the cool vibe and menu…. This new bistro/bar is, in my opinion, one of this gorgeous little capital’s main attractions!

This Bent Nail Bistro is exceptional! We were impressed by the customer service, decor, food, and the comedy show. We enjoyed ratatouille, croque monsieur, and carrot cake. The menu prices were reasonable and the comedy show was free. Highly recommend!

I was just in town for a family vacation and saw this place had recently opened up and had cool metal art. The food was good but the host and service made it exceptional. Thanks for having us.

Really happy with the unique decor and vibe. This place has tons of cool recycled material sculptures made by one of the owners. Love the live music! Have not tried the food yet. There is a pool table in the back and tables to sit at with friends. Excited this spot opened in Montpelier!

Great food and great company every time I'm there. Great music too. Treat people the way you want to be treated and you will get the same in return. Go with good vibes!

I wish to visit this place for some event. It was closed when we were in town, but the owner - Aaron was so nice to let us in to look at his fabulous craft decor 😍

Everything about the place says come in and get comfy and enjoy yourself! The French dip sandwich was to die for and Candace's espresso cheesecake was exquisite! JJ was such a great and friendly bartender/server! Always keeping drinks full and making sure that our food needs were met. The vibe inside is so artistic and creative and the music was so relaxing and chill! All in all... 10 out of 10! This place is a must if you're in Montpelier, Vermont!

Came for the atmosphere and live music, but we will definitely be returning for the super yummy food (& the atmosphere and live music lol)! Try their chilled soups and the soup with sausage and kale!!! We had the pot stickers and the spinach and artichoke dip---both of which are some of the best in town!! Sandwiches are made perfectly (the caprese and the eggplant)!! You can just just tell that love is put into the bistro food here, and you won't be disappointed! ❤

This is a a gem of central, VT. Super friendly staff and a really cool 1950 fridge kegerator pumping out Stella. Great basic VT beer selection and mixed drinks as well.

We enjoyed our experience here tonight. The dinner vibe is chill, the décor is fun and eclectic and the music playlist was equally pleasing. Great variety of import beers, classic cocktails and wine. My friend and I had the bœuf bourguignon and croque-monsieur. We shared a bottle of Kumusha Cabernet Sauvignon - a fine minimal intervention South African wine producer, capped off with a slice of the espresso cheesecake. JJ was great! We will be back soon! Support this fun corner bistro in Montpelier. You won’t be disappointed. Live music most evenings.

After getting lost in the forest for 25 minutes trying to look for our Air BNB for the night we gave up and tried looking for the nearest bar this bar came up and we are so glad we went there. This place is a little gem. The owner and the lady behind the bar are so nice and welcoming. We'll be coming back for sure after visiting Montreal on our drive back down south.

Just what Montpelier needed. It's hard to describe. One thing that is certain.
The entertainment and food is a must to try. You won't be disappointed. They have local and national acts.
It has that cheers bar feeling as you enter. Well done.

Great food and drink. Amazing owners and a variety of music. Kitchen is open later than most in town which is greatly appreciated!! The Reuben was fantastic! Check it out for sure.

Delicious eggplant sandwich and Reuben, friendly bartender, and fun open mic. $5 pints. Great place to hang out and enjoy music and the funky decor.

Stopped by on a family vacation today. The owner and staff were welcoming to my one year son while he practiced walking inside the restaurant. The soups of the day (roasted bell pepper soup and tomato creme) were excellent...prefect for this fall day.
