Dan Blocker Beach Malibu

Great beach with amazing views. Carefully when walking on the beach, some people leave their class bottles. Bring lunch and have a seat on the sand. Small waves, not too crowded, and beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Come on down!

Had a great time this place is very beautiful, I loved it, the air was clean you can really enjoy the fresh , cool air, the water was so cold at first. Then you get used to it, nice place to visit.

One of my favorite beach spots in Malibu, I don’t actually lay out at Dan Blocker as it’s a bit over crowded but one within walking distant that is a bit more challenging to get to, only making it more secluded, and more amazing. Malibu beaches in general are some of the nicest in California.

Street parking on highway, clean beach and nice place to watch sunset

Very small park with a nice overlook out over the Pacific Ocean (but no beach access). We wanted to see the ocean but all the beaches were packed. This park was convenient, with off street parking, picnic tables, benches & restrooms.

Lots of sea gulls and sea weed but very clean people were fairly decent and polite.

Cool place to hangout with friends!

Near the northern border of Malibu right along the Pacific Coast Highway is this sweet rest spot. Its named in memory of Dan Block who iconically played one of the lead characters on one of the most iconic classic TV Westerns "Bonanza". It was Dan who wrote and directed the first episode about Black folks called "The Wish," and guest starring the great Ossie Davis. Although this sweet spot is at the ocean there is no access to the beach. There are some picnic tables and stone beaches for resting and watching. There are restrooms. There is a parking fee but not enforced unless a ranger shows up. It is minimal though, about $1.00 an hour. There is a way to access the beach but not from the rest stop. Its just for viewing the magnificent waves of the Pacific Ocean.

This is a hidden paradise. Just beautiful. You can walk along the shore (if it's a low-tide), Sun bathing, or watch the amazing sunset(s). You enjoy few birds, the peace, the sound of the waves, and the fresh air of course. Beautiful CA. 💕

It was a nice spot to stop and have lunch. Nice view, clean restrooms and the parking fee is minimal.

Highlight of this place is the cleanest public restroom along Malibu. If you have a restroom emergency during your Malibu trip, don’t go anywhere else

Wonderful picnic views

We got married on this beach and spent the best day here ever so I have to give it 5 stars. Unfortunately / fortunately there is no public access so it's very private.

The restrooms are often occupied with homeless, but the view is great. Dog enforcement is on full patrol.

Sweet view of the coast. The higher up the road you go the better the view gets.

Beautiful beach to sit, relax, and listen to the ocean. Does have a lot of rocks though.
