Selland's Market-Cafe El Dorado Hills

We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking around the area. The manager was super friendly and that definitely helped draw us in. I’m so glad we are here because the food was SO good. Even my son loved their kids menu (and had a cookie for dessert). They said it might be up to 25 min and I think we got our food within 10-15 minutes. It also had a beautiful ambiance and it turns out everyone who was worked there was friendly, not just the manager we initially met. We felt so welcome and it also certainly helped the food was top notch. The chicken was so flavorful and good, not everyone can make lemon chicken taste so good. The Mac n cheese was also to die for. But really nothing was even close to being boring or bad. Everyone I went with was so pleased with their food and can’t wait to come here again!

A great place for lunch! You order what you want at the counter, sit down and it will be brought pretty quickly thereafter!

Portions are big, taste and presentation are great and the price is not that bad! Sitting outside on the terrace overlooking the area is great on a sunny day!

Selland's is our go to restaurant for lunch and dinner. The place is always clean and packed with happy customers. The staff is professional and courteous. It's ideally located overlooking the pond and the common area. And of course the food... the food is some of the best we've found for miles around. In particular their salads, soups and the pepperoni feta and Olive pizza are to die for! They're seating inside and on the patio. The patio is dog friendly.

Skip the vegan sandwich but definitely get the beet salad and tuna sandwich. SO good! Great service, fresh ingredients. I love Selland’s. Their menu always changes with the season so you know it’s always fresh.

A real benefit to the foothills. Great service, welcoming staff, comfortable and modern setting with a fresh feel. Good food options served lovingly.

Had the best Valentine dinner ever! Turkey, fontina, and sage meatloaf with truffled mushroom gravy with mashed potatoes with peas and shallots. $32 for 2 and wine too

Food is excellent! You order at the counter which can be a long process if anyone is in front of you. They bring your order to the table you choose. Outside tables available.

Love the trio salad plate and their dessert at this plate. It’s amazing and fresh.

It’s a good place to grab a quick bite to eat. I had fried chicken sandwich, my niece had tuna melt and my husband had tri-tip snd beer. Overall, customer service was great. Thank you Elderoptions gor the gift card. I appreciate it very much.

We have made the Regal Theatre close to Selland's our favorite place to watch a movie, eventhough we are not El Doradoans. So we naturally would look for a place to dine close by. We've been stopping by here a few times already as the food is usually tasty and I get this feeling that almost everything is prepared at the location and not from Sysco or another food factory(not saying they are bad, just focusing on my preference for freshly made food).

And I love any place that can offer choices from a chicken dish to pizza, along with awesome desserts. The workers have been pleasant and welcoming at our every visit thus far. The dining area looks clean and has a friendly informal appeal, also.

I hope they're always here for a good place to eat before or after a movie!

We ordered from their catering menu for a lite lunch following a celebration of life -

Everyone enjoyed the chicken & apple salad - mini sandwich platters, the Mac and cheese and dessert trays. I’d definitely contact them for any parties or events - they provide great customer service and they included all the utensils and serving items we needed.

We will go there again! Lots of folks filled the restaurant inside but it was quiet so we could talk easily. That is a rare combination. And if the weather is right, there are tables outside overlooking the lake and fountain!

Everything was really good. Burger was cooked perfect, seasoned well. Fries were good. It's a little pricey but worth it.

This place is so delicious and has great customer service! We walked in 30 minutes to close and were greeted within seconds. The staff is so friendly and very helpful. The burger was made exactly as requested and was so yummy! My husband also loved his avocado bacon sandwich! We will definitely be coming back! :)

Our absolute favorite local restaurant. The food is insanely good! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. We have yet to try an item on the menu we didn’t like. It definitely gets busy so make sure to give yourself time and have grace with the staff. Enjoy!

Great food and really nice people. It's big and a little noisy, but a great place! My only suggestion ... self-service ice with the self-service beverages.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable. They accommodated our party's many allergies and dietary restrictions. Highly recommended

I ordered the chicken jalapeño, and goat cheese pizza! Waited about 30 minutes but the pizza was delicious!

I think this is my second review for this restaurant and I sill giving them 5 starts. The food is amazing and La sangria mmmm delicious
