Honey D Cafe

Visited the first time in December on a rainy day. The crispy fried chicken katsu was recommended by a friend and I really love it! It was crispy on the outside yet tender and juicy inside. The durian pudding was also really good, had a strong (not artificial) durian fruit flavour for a durian fruit lover like myself. The rice noodle was okay but I do like that it has many toppings like tofu bean curd, a quail egg, peanuts, beef tendons, flanks and tripe and a few leafy greens. Over all good experience. Not many people in the cafe probably because of the weather but did see quite some deliveries during my time there.

We got the Taiwanese style fried chicken and pork rice plus the spicy beef rice noodle soup. The rice was very authentic and reminded me of restaurants in Taiwan! We got the noodle soup in regular spice, but it was a tad bit spicy even for my friend that regularly eats shin ramen. I would suggest getting small/mild spice if you're not super confident in your spice tolerance.

The food here was soooooo good! I went with my friends today and we ordered the Juicy Chicken Cutlet w/ Braised Pork Rice, Popcorn chicken w/ White Rice, and Steamed Dumplings. Words cannot describe how happy I was with both the food and the service. The employees are very nice and care about their customer’s experience at their restaurant. I will definitely be coming again!! :)

We went on a Saturday night and it was busy but worth the wait. One of the ladies (who I am assuming was the owner) checked in on us and made sure we were okay. She was super sweet and the girls working there were as well. My boyfriend and I are all the way from Elk Grove but will be sure to be stopping by to try more of their drinks and food! Pictured below was their Taiwanese style pork rice with sausage and soup! Highly recommend both of them!

Love this place, whether I want a drink, a snack, or a full meal. Today I placed an online order and immediately received a callback with the staff explaining that they ran out of something I ordered. She suggested an equivalent menu item (because I had already paid the money) and, as an apology, included a complimentary drink when I picked up my order. It was a very nice surprise :)
As far as the food goes, the Chinese beef roll is my favorite! I can now also recommend the beef noodle soup, which includes tripe, meatballs, etc. I'll continue to support Honey D at the pickup window while stay-at-home orders are in effect, and I look forward to eating inside again :)

They are soooooo hood. I am so happy to have come across this restaurant. I get the beef over rice almost every time & their apps are on POINT!

I also love that they accept cash payments. This is one of the reason I found them, because almost every other restaurant would not accept a cash payment... but it worked out in my favor. Can't wait to eat there again 😋

Hands down the best place for soup and fried chicken wings. The owner is very friendly and the food is always on point. I religiously get the ginseng chicken noodle soup without the noodles. I've had it 25 times and it has never disappointed!

Great little restaurant if you like Boba Tea, Asian desserts, and Taiwanese food. I'm half Vietnamese half Chinese, so I'm not too familiar with this cuisine. But I really, really like the dishes, esp. the squid, jiajiaming (meat bean-paste sauce with chewy noodles), mushroom fish meatball soup, braised pork belly and rice, and beef wonton soup. My husband and I ate it for dinner last night, and returned again for lunch. We also got the delicious boba tea and sweet tofu-herbal jelly dessert. The food was not greasy. We ate outside with our two dogs. There's only one table outdoors.

There were two fantastically kind ladies here!! We came here with my sister and our children. The ladies were in love !!! They were so kind !!! They asked so many questions about our kids and were also super helpful ordering drinks. I saw another couple leave and the friendliness between them was truly sweet to see. Very kind staff and if I’m ever in Davis again I will visit !!

I thought this place was pretty good. I got the Strawberry Berry 2.0 with Snow Cream (asked for the fruit to be blended in). It tasted like a smoothie but then had the taste of green tea at the end which can be weird to some people but honestly the combo grew on me and tasted pretty good ngl 😂. I was also craving egg puffs so it was delicious. I would want to come back again to try the food!

As always, good food and drinks and fast and friendly service, The Taiwanese pork sausage plate is incredibly good as is the pork belly plate. I will be back to try the other dishes.

I've had the Chinese Beef Roll, Chicken Cutlet with Braised Pork Rice and the Summer dessert and they were all really really good! Also the people working there are super nice :)

Great staff very polite I've only been their 2 times but there food and drinks are amazing. I recommend the grilled squid 🐙 😋 .
Definitely will be coming back to try more.

Tried their Taiwanese pork sausage w/ braised pork over rice. Delicious. Authentic. Would recommend to everyone.

My favorite tea House in Davis. They've added some great food items recently that makes them a good spot for a quick meal, too.

Tasty Taiwanese Asian fusion-ish fare. Not a huge menu but good variety.

I really liked the beef roll. And the tea is Soo good.
