2023.07.21 - very nice nature trail. Many trees and shrubs are labeled. Ungraded so not suitable for wheelchair or stroller. Trail meanders through the bogs to the shore of Bogue Sound, returns the same path. Some annoying bugs and some spider webs across the trail on a sunny July Friday at noon. Trail must not see a lot of use.

Great trail, I went during low tide so at the end there was a lot of sand bars to walk on! Awesome views!

Perfect for a quick hike! The trail is very pretty and just challenging enough to make it fun for adults while still being great to take kids. At the end you get some nice views of the water.

If you hike often, you may not like this trail. It is about 3/4th of a mile to the top of the swamp and then back.. It is not a loop.. There were no bugs on the day I went, but it was chilly, which could be the reason. I do think there would be a ton of bugs on warm days Due to its location between the waterway and the swamp
