I have been looking for the best breakfast in Minot, ND and I think I've found it! 1685 at the Minot Country Club is perched on a hilltop with sweeping views of the surrounding hills and valleys. They had a nice assortment of items on their brunch menu to choose from and an impressive bar area with a lot of natural lighting.

Alli, the server/bartender was very personable and pleasant. She offered some great menu and drink suggestions to help me make my selection. She gave me some background on the restaurant and spoke very highly of the new ownership while methodically turning square ice cubes into spheres. In a world where so many just do the bare minimum I found it very refreshing that she seemed to take such pride and joy in her endeavors.

It was difficult to just pick one thing but I finally acquiesced and went with the pork belly omelette. I was very happy with my choice! It was pleasantly displayed in a symmetrical array on a square white plate. The omelette was paired nicely with a fluffy biscuit and freshly sliced fruit.

The first bite of the omelette felt clean and delicious. My taste buds came alive as they were immersed with the textures of velvety egg, a gentle crunch of onion, and the buttery melting of the savory pork.

After the meal I ordered a cocktail. I had an old fashioned that was expertly prepared by Alli with the aforementioned spherical ice cube and garnished with a fresh peel of orange and dark cherry. It was perfect!

I was very pleased with entire experience and look forward to trying out their dinner menu soon. Highly recommend! Give them a try, I assure you that you'll be just as impressed as I am.

Excellent meal and beautiful place to eat. We went out for a special occasion and our server Quick was fantastic! Highly recommend this restaurant for dinner or brunch.

The view of the venue is fantastic. You get to see the hills and golf course while dining in. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I ordered the 1685 burger, and I enjoyed it—the servings of their food were big and very filling. My only issue was that it took a long time to receive the food, even just the appetizers. Other than that, it was a great experience

Let me start off by saying what a great location, view, and aesthetic. My husband and I have slowly been trying all the restaurants in Minot (after recently moving here) and I really thought this was going to be the place for us. Service was slow with 3-4 tables filled, which is usually not an issue for us because we love taking our time on date nights, but for some this will be an issue. We ordered bacon wrapped dates and the parm garlic fries as an appetizer. The bacon was dry and over cooked (thinking they were frozen and reheated?) but they still tasted great after our Manhattan and Old fashion. Drinks there are 10/10. Parm fries were okay, loved the hint of lemon on them, definitely was not expecting that twist. I ordered pork belly and grits, husband got chicken fried steak. After our appetizers we wanted something we hoped they couldn’t mess up. We were wrong. The chicken fried steak literally had no seasoning and no sauce. Reheated mashed potatoes and maybe Walmart frozen bagged Brussel sprouts? Yikes. Our sweet waiter offered to bring him some hot honey sauce for the chicken which was very kind. After having overly cooked bacon and dates, I had undercooked pork belly and grits. I almost thought it was squid at first. Just really unimpressed for the amount of money they charge and the “fine” dining we thought we were going to get. We will be back for more over cooked apps and drinks so we can look at that view though!

Arrived for brunch at 130. No host was there, and at 150 I walked in and asked to be seated. The host came to the front and said they were closed, but we could go to the bar for drinks. Very disappointed, we had been looking forward to trying this place.

She said I had the job and to show up wensday ended up waiting till the last second and she texted me saying that my interview didn’t go well and to work on my talking skills
