Hickory Tavern

Stopped in for lunch after sight seeing, what a wonderful surprise. Loved the atmosphere, and the service was excellent. The food is off the chain, the shrimp and grits is awesome and the mushroom onion swiss burger is delicious.

I’d like to start off saying the manager “Joel” was great, very nice and customer service was A1. The Low Country Shrimp and Grits was the best I’ve ever had! The flavor was perfect. Definitely recommend trying if you’re a shrimp and grits person. Great experience!

Pretty cool place with a ton of beer selections. My smokehouse Angus burger was great and the shrimp powpow was insanely amazing. The location was a little hard to find, Google maps has you walking through an alley. Overall great food, great vibes.

I got food from here for the first time a few days ago and I give it a solid 8/10. I got the chicken strips and not only do they put a lot in there, the strips are crispy and have a lot of flavor. The fries were a bit soggy but I’m going to assume that’s because the food was delivered. I am a ranch girly and I love the ranch they have here. I also tried the croissants with like the honey butter glaze on it and those were absolutely delicious.

Food exceeded expectations! Far better than other bar food that I've had. I also arrived with eight people and there was no fuss about it, and the waitress was very kind. The atmosphere was not as loud as I expected, however bathroom music was booming. So if you have an autistic individual along with you, keep that in mind. Overall great time though!

The food was delicious, everything tastes as if it were made in-house rather than coming in frozen. The staff were friendly and helpful. The music was just a bit too loud for lunch on a weekday, however. The entrance was hard to find and parking was very limited.

Never a bad day. I go to Hickory Tavern for company lunches and personally. I try something new every time I go and it's always very good and hot. The wings are 10/10. Pow pow shrimp 10/10. The fried shrimp are huge and the fried broccoli was amazing. I can eat that as a main entree any day. My only wish is that I lived closer so I could go more often.

The food was fantastic! Best ribs and pulled pork and the street corn was awesome! Haley our server was so sweet and personal! Wish we had a hickory tavern in Pittsburgh! We'll definitely stop here again in our travel next year!!

Lots of televisions for lots of different games beer and food are good

Great place to visit when downtown for events, or just for lunch too. Lots of drink options, nice patio, plenty of screens. Food was fresh and fast. Manager was friendly and made sure we had a great time.

We were visiting Columbia and were looking for a dog friendly place i could sit down and work. They have a heated patio they turned on for us and they are dog friendly!

Some of the best wings I’ve had in Columbia. Great size a lot larger than any other restaurant. The staff was also very friendly and always made sure we had drinks and everything turned out great will be back more often

Wings were huge and tasty, atmosphere is nice. Service is quick and friendly. Have been twice in the past month and will be back again. Kids also enjoyed their meals and the abundance of screens with games on.

Hickory Tavern is a great sports bar with TVs everywhere. They have a variety of food. I ordered large nachos and a loaded baked potato. I should of gotten small nachos because the large nachos was a lot but still delicious along with the baked potato. The restaurant was clean and my waitress was so nice. I will be coming back soon.

Some of the biggest wings I have had. Great selection of beer you won’t find any where else. I love this restaurant and will be back again!

This was my 1st time here. Sat at the bar to watch NFL playoff. I had the best mozorella sticks!! I also had the chilli nachos. Delicious. They have many TVs so you will not miss any parts of a game.

My friend is pregnant, and she ordered a corn beef sandwich, didn't agree with her taste buds, and they were willing to exchange her order and not charge her for food. That was very considered of them.

The Charleston Burger was outstanding. The combination of the bacon, vinaigrette, and goat cheese created a magnificent burger. The homemade chips are dusted with an Old Bay spice & were yummy.

Good food, cold beer, and great service! Also a plus that there are so many tvs with games on. We recommend the spinach artichoke dip!!

I shared a meal of flaky fish and crispy chips at Hickory Tavern with some cool friends and enjoyed the lively atmosphere and great food. I totally went overboard in satisfaction with Hickory Tavern. I recommend Hickory Tavern to anyone who wants the have an excellent experience.
