Jack Browns Beer & Burger Joint Columbia SC

I discovered Jack Brown's while looking for late-night dining options downtown. The positive reviews and the fact that they were open until 2AM caught my attention. Tucked among other late-night hangouts, this place has a cozy vibe with wooden bar furniture, string lights, and great music. The bartender, Meredith, and the rest of the staff were attentive and efficient. I ordered the double classic jack burger with fries, and it was fantastic. The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked, and the combination of caramelized onions and thinly sliced dill pickles added a delightful tartness. The JB sauce, with its almost tartar-like consistency, was delicious—I even used it to smother my crinkle cut fries. I'd love to have the recipe for that sauce at home. My whole party of four thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and we all wished we had ordered the double burger like I did. I highly recommend this spot.

This place rocks.
Wagyu beef burgers that’s will fill any craving you have. All the burgers have their own twist and for once I can actually agree with pricing. One of the best if not the best burger I can get in Columbia SC.
Also noted is that they have a record number of beers on tap so if you wanted to a chill place to grab a few drinks, watch a game, and eat a burger it succeeds in doing those.

Such a cool place for beer and burgers. The specialty burger options are a lot of fun. We got here early to avoid the lunch rush.

Genuinely best burger I have ever had. Great service. Very fast. 10 out of 10. The classic and the ponch were incredible.

Delicious food at great prices. We sat at the bar and the staff was excellent. Fun place with excellent music if you are a 90s/2000s fan. Burgers were unique and delicious. Crinkle fries were so good as well.

Oh my God this place is actually fantastic. I expected a decent burger joint and I was still blown away.

Both our burgers are fantastic. The fries were really well done, crispy, and not over salted. The fried Oreos were great.

The service was super fast. We sat ourselves and ordered in less than 5 minutes. We got our food almost immediately. The food was hot and tasty.

I can't recommend this highly enough. Better than 5 guys, habit, and in n out by far.

Excellent burgers (love the burger sauce!) and it is a fun atmosphere. Wouldn’t recommend for business lunches due to the loud music/atmosphere.

Jack Browns delivers on the promise of flavorful burgers. It’s hard to go wrong with a Wagyu smash burger. Good selection of craft beer from the beer fridge.

The take out is quick and they package their burgers well for travel. If you want to drop by and get a takeout order, this is a good place to go.

I will definitely be going back to try some of the different burger combinations.

We just popped in for lunch and we were short on time. The menu listed about a dozen unique burgers and fries. The food came out quickly though it wasn't very crowded. Now, the best part, the burgers were awesome! Great meat, great bun match up! Additionally there is an equally awesome fry sauce that is amazing: based in ketchup and mayo, they invite garlic and other secret spices that will make you want to snuggle that whole bottle out of there!

Great tasting food and great service. Got the Sunday special which was a burger with a glazed doughnut for the bun. Tasted so da** good! Also got some great tasting loaded fries! You have to try this place out.

High quality in both the burger and the fries. A big plus if you like hot peppers on your burger and done right. Haven’t sampled the other burger preparations. Good selection of beer to was it down

Cute little tiny beer bar with incredible burgers. Both me and my 60+ year old mother loved the dive bar atmosphere and food. We will be back!

Great atmosphere and a really good beer list. We only ordered the fries but the sauce was so good. I need to come back for a burger but really impressed so far!

I have to say that I am a little biased, since Jack's is my favorite burger East of the Mississippi. The staff at all locations to include this one are amazing. The burgers are always good and I always go out of my way on road trips to visit one of their locations.

Beer and burgers it's that simple. Throw in some waygu beef and a friendly staff and you've got yourself a good time. Craft beer, pbr, bud light but it's got to be beer because there's no liquor here, which I don't mind because I'm a beer lover. The burgers are incredible, I recommend the Greg Brady or the Elvis. These Burgers Are “ABSOLUTELY” Amazing. Yesterday, my friend; Toyie and I arrived at Jack Brown’s to celebrate her birthday and we were so amazed about the friendliness staff that greeted us upon arrival, as well as the cleanliness & promptly arrival of the food. Our waiter was Austin and he was Soooooo Patient with us as we informed him that we were “first-timers”; Austin thoroughly explained the history of the restaurant and gave us the deets of each burger as well as his recommendation! We also met the Amazing Cook but did not get his name!! Overall our dine in experience was Great and I even ordered two burgers..Yummy! (The Cowboy😋) and the delicious “Jacked Up Fries”. I also ordered a meal to-go (Greedy😆). This is definitely my new spot!!! Can’t wait to visit again!! I Truly Appreciated My Night! ~Tierra

On the burgers, the carnivores in our family were happy.
Little loud, but I liked the music.

The atmosphere is relaxing and fun. The burgers were really good. If you want a regular burger this is not the place I enjoyed trying a new type of burger

One of the best burgers I’ve had in recent memory! The patty was juicy and delicious! Their JB sauce was a perfect complement to the burger and I also used it as a dipping sauce for the fries, which were crunchy and addictive. Plus their Apple Pie Sour beer was cold and refreshing! I can’t wait to go back and try another one of their burgers and beer! I received great service all around since I walked in so it was a great first experience, and it definitely won’t be my last. Thanks for a great time!
