Wonderful place. Easy to locate, close parking, clean/well maintained. Appreciate the clearly labeled mail slots, and the informational fliers and magazines outside.

Wrote my nephew 5 times and had the proper zip code however due to a technicality in the Sun Valley and Ketchum post offices...kept returning my mail back East. And I thought the Maine post offices were screwed up....thank you Idaho, you have us beat. Get sorters that can read and use a little common sense. Ketchum and Sun Valley should consolidate unless one is more elite than the other.

Came in to get a passport for my daughter and myself. Horrible customer service since I came in, requested picture and paperwork and my appt was accepted. But employee said that I should’ve of just gone to a diff location for pictures. Manager didn’t know what she was doing and rude as well. Don’t recommend at all

I don't know if the issues they have with infrastructure come from the utterly inept city hall of Ketchum, or if it is simply criminal negligence on the part of the post master, but this post office runs so poorly it astounds me that there aren't more public calls to fix it.

I'm mostly writing this review to air some frustrations I've had since I was a child with this post office. The main issue with it is they have no infostructure set up for delivering packages to street addresses, which would normally be fine if they were to have something in place to hold packages for those who may have ordered items through something such as Amazon which is a gamble - sometimes UPS/FEDEX will deliver it to your address with no issue, but if it is shipped with the USPS the packages will be returned to sender with no courtesy period for you to pick up the package. This means if a package failed delivery at say 12:00PM, and you swing by at 12:30 to pick up the package they will have already returned to sender. I now have a package that claims online to be at the facility, but when I spoke with the clerk she told me it will be returned to sender. Since I'm at a standstill with both, I'm not able to update my address to my P.O. Box, and now these packages are stuck in some limbo state where no one is capable of either giving it to me or just telling me where it is, or how to get the address changed so I can conform with this stupid system. I know, I know, I should just address everything for my P.O. Box, but the simple fact of the matter is even if it's not addressed to the P.o. Box, there should still be some kind of approach to make it more accessible to receive your packages. On top of that I greatly dislike visting the post office as I don't really like being in crowds that much and prefer to get my packages delivered through UPS. On top of that, because of the ineptitude at this location, it always feels like a headache to even have to drive there.

If I have a tracking number, and an ID with the same name on in and my face - I feel like it should be a fairly straightforward way to receive my package. I wouldn't even mind the slight inconvenience, but being told there's nothing I can do right now and that the package will be returned to sender despite it very likely being at the location, it's a real kick in the stomach and an extreme waste of time.

This town already can barely house it's people, it can hardly support anyone stuck in the working class, and borderline disregards them for the sake of taking care of those who have more money and capital. If we're going to have to deal with this the LEAST the local government could do is make it so we can get the packages we spent our hard earned money on when they were intended to be delivered instead of having to jump through hoops upon hoops to get them.

I will say for the most part the employees here are doing the best with what they're given and are always friendly and provide good services when their hands aren't bound by the way the service itself is planned out and ran. It's a shame these poor people have to be on the front line of this level of ineptitude.

I had such a bad experience at this post office. Julie was unhelpful and unfriendly. I hate to give a negative review, but the rest of our vacation in Idaho has been so wonderful that it was a bummer to have an interaction with someone so rude. How do people like this get hired to serve the public?
