I only come here for apples, but yea really great apples. :) I know there is lots of other stuff. Maybe one day I'll buy an orange or peach. I dunno, but I really like the apples.

Our first time here and we love it!! I told my wife that if we don’t go weekly I will be sad.

Love coming here for well priced produce. Everything always lasts longer than normal grocery stores, too, in my experience. Love that it’s kind of open air, that they have plants, “snacks,” and condiment options!

As others have said, this is an excellent shop selling great quality at sensible cost. I delivered here today and after reading the reviews did my shopping here too and glad I did so. ( The imported potatos I delivered were high grade too, and religiously checked by an obviously experienced operator, so I'm not really surprised the place sells as high a quality of produce as it does.) Wish I lived nearer.

I love this place especially during the summer season you're able to find a selection not found in your local grocery store I also enjoy their plants

Wow. I have lived here 10 years and have never been in this place? Came today on a whim and loved it! Lots of great fresh produce and lots of interesting and one of a kind sauces, spices, and condiments! Found a nice container of Elote for use with Mexican dishes in particular! Also has a great variety of frozen fruit and veggie combos for the off season and for quick meals on the fly. The set up is much like a farmers market feel under one roof! What a treat!

I remember going here frequently as a young child with my mom, and I have very strong memories of this place being so much more than a grocery store ever was. I’ll always remember this place. I haven’t been here in years as I’ve moved away, but this is a place I would visit again in a heartbeat as long as they remain open for business. Thank you for being that for me.

Excellent produce selection including substantial locally grown fruits and veggies. Great granola, breads, frozen foods (try the biscuits), local honey and molasses, and jams. Canned and bottled selection could be improved. Friendly and fast service. The new building is a great improvement. Some great seasonal items include the elderberry extract, mayhaw jelly, and local honey. They also have seasonal larger items like citrus trees and wooden rocking chairs.

I go there for fruits and vegetables every week. They are cheap and fresh.

Great prices and the produce is usually in great shape. There's a wide variety of local dry and canned specialty foods too. As busy as this place is you never have to wait long to check out.

it's also a good place to look for plants, ornamentals or fruit saplings depending on the season.

Their apples are lackluster, so are the oranges, but that doesn't discourage me because there's still plenty to love.

Love the new building, it is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. There is plenty of parking spaces available. The store is clean and easy to shop. Employees are friendly and helpful. Prices are generally good, selection of fruit could be better, more variety please.

I purchased a fruit for a brother-in-law because he had an emergency surgery. And, I just wanted to thank him for the many things he had that done for my sister, niece, great niece, and our entire family over the fifty years that he has been apart of our family. He really enjoy the fruits and I am glad purchased from Southside Produce. One 💘

Best fresh vegetables and fruits in Baton Rouge. Helpful employees. This is an air-conditioned facility.

Prices are usually very competitive if not better than almost every grocer in the area. The quality is usually better but sometimes is not most best.

The service is always fantastic and friendly. We always make sure to stop by here as the first stop of our grocery run!

We were shocked when we first found this place! They have incredible prices that no other store can beat, and it is an EXPERIENCE when you go! Feeling as though you're contributing to a community and economy of local farmers is a great feeling! There's so much to choose from and we love it!
