Always stop at this fruit stand when I come home from NC. It's so much more than a fruit stand. If you're looking for Cajun stuff, this is your place! They even stock Andi Lynn's elderberry syrup! My most favorite thing they stock is the Cajun Ginger Cakes!

Excellent high quality vegetables and fruit, the bonus today was that they have Louisiana strawberries that you can't get at all the supermarkets.

The "Fresh Pickins" produce market has a great selection of fresh healthy vegetables and fruit but also has freezers full of reasonably priced frozen vegetables and fruit already sliced, diced or otherwise prepared. This is a great resource to keep in mind!

I love this produce stand. I actually worked there as a teen. God bless all the workers having to work in ALL the weather conditions,
And they have everything you will need!

Great place to go for fresh veggies. They also have a great selection of local honey. Also , the only place I have found green jumbo peanuts.

I'm not sure what all a produce stand is supposed to have and I know they're limited by the seasons. It just seemed like there should have been a wider variety but that's probably just my ignorance talking. They did have dragon fruit though. That was awesome. As far as quality, everything looked great! Definitely better than Walmart, Rouses etc. Better prices than big chain stores also. The cashier was pleasant too. Todays visit will not be my last.

My family just moved to BR & we are already obsessed with Fresh Pickins! Great prices, amazing selection of local pickled and preserves, dry goods, and both fresh and frozen produce! Couldn’t recommend this enough!

A good market, but not a large variety of fruits and vegetables.

Farm fresh local produce. As advertised. "Farm to YOUR Table" You can pick through the green beans if you insist, but last time there wasn't a bad one in the batch. And the okra... beautiful

Picked a case of apples and a case of oranges for the church. Great place, there's so much fresh vegetables to choose from.

This produce supplier is a staple in the Baton Rouge community and the standard by which all others are measured. They carry great local culinary products that are difficult to locate elsewhere, consistently offer beautiful, fresh produce, and have always been incredibly friendly and helpful.
Don't waste your time looking any further if you want great produce and service.

I have absolutely love this produce marketing. The prices here are always very reasonable, and the fact that the food is generally quite a local is refreshing. I really am big into supporting my local farmers. I wish they still had smithstone creamery, but I don't think that's anything that they can control, sadly. Other than that, everything is fairly clean considering it's an open-air market and the produce is quite fresh.

Always fresh and they hand out free produce in the mornings. Cannot beat the price on mushrooms, avocados or roasted peanuts. Very friendly atmosphere.

Love to make a stop there to pick up vegetables when we are in Baton Rouge! Especially like their Mustard Greens, we don't have the broad leaf mustard Greens here in South, AL. I only can find the curly leaf and their flavor is not as mild as broad leaf! Also the shoe peg corn is out of this world too. Love this place!

This place is always is clean. The workers have a positive attitude. Produce here seems to be always available. The really good thing is here before purchase they allow you to inspect. They actually have someone to bring heavy items to the car.

This is a fantastic place to browse lots of locally sourced products. It is also the cheapest place to purchase The Old Homestead products according to the company. I love shopping here, and feel good about supporting a stand up shop!

Fast and helpful. There's no self checkout which was fantastic. I really enjoy speaking to other human beings versus a self checkout. That is part of the fun. I stopped going to walmart because of this.
