I've gone to Ulta for beauty products for years, and today I decided I finally wanted to get the hairstyle I had always wanted but was too scared to do. I haven't been to a hair salon in well over 10+ years, so it was time to treat myself. I was able to book an appointment the same day and I scheduled a cut and coloring with Taylor... Let me tell you, saying she went above and beyond is an understatement. She was excited about the style and made sure that it was exactly how I wanted it and we took it in steps to get it just right. This took far longer than the estimated time and we were there far after closing. But she didn't rush at all, and she put so much care into the process. She even helped me find the color depositing conditioner after and a couple other items before I left. She was so nice and professional, you can tell she is passionate about her work. I will definitely be coming back for future hair appointments, and I will request her every time. ❤

Very great hair service!!! My hair cuts treatments and my daughter’s hair finish awesomely Beautiful. “Ashly” does a super Professional job great hair product orientation . She tells does and don’t . They have everything nice clean and organized. The have it all from makeup, perfumes face treatments by appointment and fix your hair with the very Best. Got a full head of highlights/lowlights from Diana and she did an incredible job! She is so friendly and precise, my hair looks amazing. I’m so happy with the results, I think I found my new salon ☺

Taylor in the Salon was wonderful! She is empathetic, awesome and super cool. Love the cut! Really important- she managed myself and other members of my family for cut and colors on a busy Saturday, flawlessly and still made us and other clients and coworkers smile! I just went to ulta not too long ago and Ayana (my apologies for probably the wrong spelling!) was amazing! She was soooo sweet and very helpful in finding a good brow gel. She even went out of her way and grabbed me a better version of a product I was going to already buy at checkout ! Very happy with my experience going in today, and hope to see her next time I go in:)

OH MY GOD!!!!!!! I had the best employee help my friend and me. She gave me great recommendations and stayed in my price range. She was super fun and i loved her. Really made my day. If you guys ever need help with anything Camilla is your girl. I am super happy with my products and didn’t spend to much. #veryhappycustomor lol 😂

In the store this evening, and Camila was exceptional responding to all my questions. Although training new associates, she was instrumental during my check out process too. Kudos to Camila!

I’ve been getting my eyebrows done here for about 5 years and I have NEVER left unsatisfied! I used to go to Amory but she no longer waxes, so now I see Carissa and she is so gentle, patient, and sweet!! It takes no more than 20 minutes usually! The ladies are talkative too and make great conversations! 💕💕

Sarah in the salon absolutely made my day! She fixed my bad haircut on short notice and made me feel like a million bucks, she understood my concerns and worked her magic! Thank you so much if you see this, obviously I’ll be back to see you. Also the cashier that checked me out was super sweet, they were closing soon and she took the time to engage with me and I’m so grateful. 🩷

Diana in the salon is amazing. I usually only get my hair cut once a year because I can’t stand people in general. (Thanks social anxiety.) Last week I came to get my hair cut on a whim and met Diana. She has a calm, knowledgeable presence that really worked for me. She wasn’t overly talkative or forcing me to constantly interact like most people have done. She made me feel so comfortable and confident after my hair cut that I booked a color appointment this week. I have a ton of premature grey hairs and Diana made them disappear like magic. My hair is so glossy too. This whole experience with Diana has made me rethink my once a year haircut. I will probably be back in a few months!

I was getting my hair done previously at a location downtown and I had been hearing things about Sarah Squires the stylist who works at the location. I get nervous seeing new hair stylists. This was the best decision I’ve ever made. I live downtown and I’m literally driving to fuquay every time I need my hair done. She is literally the best. GO SEE her

Went in looking for a specific concealer and was guided by Camilla. She was so sweet and helped me color match, leading to me getting a whole different brand lol! She was very knowledgeable and took her time acknowledging my skin, showing me products that she thought would compliment me. Very very kind!! Camila made me feel special and valued.

This location has wonderful customer service. My cashier Vanessa was one of the friendliest and most bubbly people i have ever met. She truely made my day. Being in retail management for most of my adult life. I must say this store is run very well. The employees seem happy and everything was very clean and organized.

2021: Updating my review - Megan still gives a great cut every time, remembers what I like, and because of that, she can give great suggestions for new things to try that are still in my comfort zone. I also continue to be pleased overall with my staff interactions at this location.

Original review in 2018: I like to wait a couple days after a haircut to see if it really is as good as it seems because I have no skills when it comes to recreating what happens in the salon. It's been 3 days, and I have to say I am so pleased with my haircut. Megan did a wonderful job. She listened to what I wanted, but somehow did it better than I had envisioned. My hair is simple and straight. I wanted a couple inches off the bottom to clean up the split ends, and maybe some layers so it's not a blunt edge. She managed to make my hair look healthy and nice without the "guess who got a haircut" awkwardness that usually lasts for a couple weeks after the cut. On top of that, she was friendly and a kind and made the visit enjoyable.

I also come here for the occasional cosmetics purchase (I'm no whiz at that either), and the staff are generally more pleasant and willing to help than other Ultas I've visited in NC, VA, and DC. Parking is never an issue, and I'm able to get in, get what I need, and get out in a reasonable amount of time.

Employees are friendly and helpful.
Prices are little high then other stores.

Everyone was really helpful. I don't shop in person often and I shop for cosmetics even more infrequently. One employee assisted me with picking out a shampoo for my newly dyed hair, showing me a few options and making suggestions. When I checked out, the cashier (Amira) let me know that the serum I bought was bogo 40% and suspended my purchase so I could go choose another without holding up the line. Really appreciate that!!

Only request would be to put signs up for sales, im not sure if that's some weird Ulta policy though so I dont want to down rate the store for something they don't control.

I cannot thank Sarah, the hair stylist, enough for her help!!! I brought in my 3 year old daughter for an emergency fix due to a "scissor frenzy". I didnt think we were going to be able to salvage what was left of her hair. Sarah not only did an AMAZING job, but she was so kind and reassuring that she could make it beautiful. She was able to fit us in to her schedule when she didn't have to, and I'm forever grateful! My daughter's hair looks amazing!! Thank you Sarah for your kindness and superior skills in turning this stressful situation into a better ending!

Carissa is the best! Have gotten my brows laminated 2x by her and both times I've left extremely impressed! Amazing!

I got my hair done by the one and only Stephanie!!! She is the sweetest person and did an amazing job. She listened to what i wanted done to my hair and fixed my bangs!!! I would highly recommend her!!
