I am a 33-year-old female and I have very minimal knowledge when it comes to beauty products and skin care. So of course, when the world shut down in 2020 and the mask mandate was issued, I completely stopped wearing make up on a daily basis. Luckily, I ended up learning about lashes and as soon as I tried them, I was hooked. Fast-forward to the fall/winter of 2022. I was having a lot of frustration with my lashes because we were having trouble getting the lashes to stay on longer than about a week and they could barely tolerate a classic set. I ended up expressing my concerns and frustrations to my good friend Melissa. And after many conversations, she convinced me to let her look at my lashes and give them a try. Here we are in April 2024 and I promise you that I could never go to another artist besides Mel. In the year and a half of her taking care of my lashes, I have learned an incredible amount. She has spent so much time researching how to give someone lash extensions while caring for someone’s natural lash health & their skin health, while also giving them a product that makes them feel beautiful. She listens to your concerns and questions and Mel actually cares about each individual client and how they feel leaving her salon. And while it has not much to do with the actual product that you receive, she creates the best environment for each and every appointment. If you want to go in, close your eyes and enjoy a little nap, she’s got you. If you want to girl talk and spill some tea, she’ll be right there on your side. If you want to go in and listen to some upbeat music and jam out, Mel has got you. Her prices are absolutely unbeatable, her lash serum and lash bath are now two key products in my daily skincare routine now. It may seem small to others, but to be able to have full comfort and trust in someone who is providing you with service in the beauty industry is life changing. And I know some people are just looking for a review that truly talks about the product, my lash retention has only gotten better since I’ve started going to flashy. As long as I take care of my lashes and listen to Melissa‘s advice, every fill appointment that I go to I find myself saying that I could probably wait another week or two. Melissa also does not shy away from a challenge. So if you tell her that you want to go bigger, bolder, longer, fuller or even scale it back to something more minimal and natural, she will take that on with pride. You will regret booking your appointment, so do it now!!!

Cannot say enough great things about Melle! Not only does she take the care and the time to make sure she does everything professionally and hygienically, she also puts so much thought into how she can give you beautiful lashes while also protecting your natural ones. She is always willing to learn a new technique if it will help her clients achieve their lash goals. She also keeps her prices fair and competitive! She is just an extremely genuine person that wants the best for anyone that comes to see her.

Side note - the worst part about getting my lashes done has always been the glue fumes making my eyes watery and red. I don’t know how she does it, but Melle works some magic and I’ve had no burning since coming to Flashy! Five star service all around. ❤

I came across Mel a couple months ago & hadn’t really been big into getting lashes done solely because I never had good retention and they always felt itchy! After my first time with her, I immediately felt a boost of confidence, and my lashes felt super light, but looked very full, and I was super pleased with how they were! The environment is amazing and she is great at making sure you feel comfortable and overall the service is 10 out of 10. I will not be finding another lash tech in Lee Summit. I hope to stick with her for years to come.

I am very very happy with how my lashes turned out after my first appointment! The appointment was amazing, completely relaxing, and I actually think I fell asleep. I am so excited with how they look every day, and I get so many compliments from people I see throughout the day. I am starting with classic and looking forward to getting them filled! Mel is incredibly professional and gentle while doing lashes. I’m a rookie and don’t get my lashes done often and I shared this with her and she made sure to communicate all of her steps as she was doing my set. She also made sure as that I was comfortable! Loved my natural yet elegant set!

I purchased a Valentine’s Day PJ set & I looooove it. I ordered a medium. The pants are super comfy & great length! I will say the top is a little shorter than I hoped, but nothing to complain about! Overall, a great little Valentine’s Day set!

Mel made me feel so comfortable during my first lash appointment and that was everything because I was so nervous! Her suite is always clean and I appreciate that! She’s also fast and very impressed with her mapping skills! I go to her everytime.
