Wow. I was not expecting this at all. Food was 100% authentic, and the service was awesome. This place was so good and authentic while tasting the food, I almost cried. It reminded me of my mother's cooking. Thank you for that experience. I will always come here when I'm in town. WoW

I want to start off by saying I’m very particular about my food. We stopped in Brenda’s cafe after seeing the new menu and all I can say is WOW! Blown away on every level. Presentation, taste, quality and freshness of food and friendliness of staff. I have to say this was one of my best new dining experiences of the last few years. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a quality meal! Also not pictured was the churro pancakes which are an absolute MUST HAVE!

We stayed in Ocean City for a weekend vacation and went to Brenda’s Cafe on our last morning before leaving and I wish we wouldn’t have waited so long. This place is an absolute must! The staff was incredibly sweet and efficient, there was good music playing, the ambiance is welcoming, and the food was incredible. I wish I lived in the area; I’d be here every morning.

I had the breakfast tacos on the “authentic Mexican menu” and it was delicious. We sat outside under the portico which had a lovely breeze. They didn’t rush us at all.

We spent the weekend in Ocean City and Brenda’s was the absolute BEST place we visited for food. The food was phenomenal, the staff was so kind and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was charming and inviting. Brenda was our server and you can really tell how much pride she takes in her restaurant. I wish I lived locally because I would absolutely be a regular here! This restaurant is so deserving of 5 stars - I wish I could rate them higher!

If you come here get the thres leches french toast! It won't disappoint! This place has a nice home vibe to it. The staff is amazing with making sure you have what you need. The smoothies are delicious I got the strawberry banana. It's about average pricing for this area.

The best breakfast I've had in OC yet! Everything was delicious, and the customer service was top-notch, and everything was very reasonably priced considering how good the food is. Will be my new favorite spot for breakfast, and im sure the lunch menu is just as good. Can't recommend this place enough!

Sunday morning at the beach. There was a bit of a wait - they told us ahead of time, seated us and gave us the menu. The wait wasn't as long as they anticipated at all.

Brenda, the owner is so sweet and efficient. The food is excellent! The chef came out and offered a delicious sweet Sabayon custard for us yo try out. Fine dining vibes.😊

We had churro waffles, and a Mexican omelette.

The home fries were deep fried to have a delicate crispness with a soft, tasty center. Very nice.

The location in the beach block with ocean breezes was delightful. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Brenda’s Cafe is a hidden gem! The food was so fresh and the presentation was beautiful. We got the taco breakfast and the heuvos rancheros and they were incredible. The churro pancake with tres leches was delicious.

Brenda is one of the sweetest people and the restaurant is immaculately clean. The pricing is on point and we left happy!!

The best place to eat and have coffee in Ocean City, NJ is definitely Brenda’s Cafe! The staff is super friendly, the cafe is very clean, the food is absolutely delicious, and Brenda (the owner) is the nicest and most caring person in the world. She’ll do whatever she can to make sure her customers are satisfied with their visit. I’ll be eating and getting my iced coffee there very often. I highly recommend this place. Thank you to Brenda and to her staff for starting my day off on a happy and delicious note. :-)

This place is amazing! Fresh, delicious food, and such courteous service. We are a family of six, adults and kids with options everyone loved! Will make this a regular stop when I’m OCNJ. Highly recommend!

The Juevos Rancheros were *chefs kiss*, very light on the stomach & salsas weren’t too spicy. 10/10

I dont have the heart to give Brenda's 4 stars, but it's their true rating. They get an extra star because I'm rooting for them.

Let's start with why I still gave them 5 stars- the staff is super friendly, the restaurant is superbly clean, the food is reasonably priced, and the location is convenient.

Now for where they could have improved to get me raving about this place. The Mexican food has flavor and is simple, but is by no means authentic or fiery with flavor. The coffee is palatable, but they seem to lean heavily on coffee flavorings for people who like sugary coffee. Perhaps buy your grounds from one of the local roasters, the black coffee was bordering on watery. And as I'm sitting here writing my girlfriend notified me that the pick de gallo I asked for on the side for my tacos(which was a very small portion for $11.50) was charged extra.

I'm rooting for this place, and wont be the one to take their rating from 5 stars, but there is room for improvement for them to earn that 5th star.

I saw a previous review & they called this cafe a hidden jewel. My husband & I agree! The staff was super friendly . The food was excellent , the prices are pretty much in line with today's prices. We are here for a week & intend to have breakfast here every day! We wish them luck!

The Chorizo and Steak burritos slap hard. Add hash browns inside for an out of this world experience ;) Friendly staff and fresh quality ingredients, what more could you ask for?
