SAKURA Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

I was driving through town and decided to try this because I’ve seen it several times. Very nice atmosphere. The tables are real lacquered wood with Asian inscriptions on them and the wall decor and glass etching had a very classy touch.

I came at lunch and was craving sashimi so I ordered the 10 piece sashimi lunch with rice, miso soup, and salad for $15.95.

The miso soup was very flavorful and had lots of pieces of seaweed and tofu. The salad greens were very fresh with a perfect amount of ginger dressing. You can taste of ginger in it, but it does taste very similar to thousand island dressing.

The 10 pieces of sashimi came very nicely, presented on a long rectangular glass tray with a good amount of shredded carrots, and two large fresh mint leaves holding the fish up. The generous bowl of fresh rice was nice and hot and stuck together well making it easy to eat with chopsticks.

All 10 pieces of sashimi were generously sized and tasted fresh. They also included a generous amount of pickled ginger and wasabi. There was wasabi was perfectly potent and I’m glad because some restaurants have it diluted to where you have to use a lot to get any flavor but there’s was perfect.

I will definitely come here again because the value and quality of the food was very good for the price. My total after tax was $17.07 so that’s only a few dollars more than grocery store type sushi and the quality and presentation is much better here.

We went last night with a group of 14 (8 adults and 6 kids). Everything was delicious. The hibachi show was great as well. You really get a bang for your buck as the portion sizes are huge and the food was so flavorful. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town.

Service was good, it wasn't that busy yet it took them awhile to take our order. Servers were courteous. Food was delicious and generous portions. Prices reasonable.

We were in the Winter Haven area & a couple people suggested Sakura Japanese Steakhouse. It was really full & we were quoted waiting 45 minutes but they called us within 15 minutes. If you go, make sure you are in a "happy happy" mood😅 it was a bit loud but after we sat down I realized why, the cooks at the hibachi table were very interactive with guests. The cooks had us laughing and everyone was having fun. Prices were good for the amount of food we got, we all had alot of leftovers. Overall it was a nice place for dinner

First time on the recommendation of a family member. Staff was super friendly - Hibachi Chef was a bit clumsy with the grill tools, but very sincere and won the table over quickly. Food was prepared perfectly and was very good!! Will definitely return next time in the area.

Always try to support our local businesses. Service was exceptional. Food portion fed us for days! Was a great date night!

Wife took me here and I must say I was impressed. Great food and atmosphere. The hibachi experience was awesome there! My son absolutely loved it and became the star attraction at our table 😅. Overall fantastic all around. We will definitely be coming back.

We have been coming here for a year generally during lunch hours. The staff is always very friendly and the food is crisp aldente' and well prepared. We recommend a powerful Mai Tai with your meal. You will receive such a large quantity of food, most will be taken for leftovers

Delicious hibachi and very attentive service. I ordered the crab rangoon for an appetizer and the chicken and scallops hibachi combo. The soup that came with was just okay but the rest of the food was really good. Water was refilled promptly and plates cleared nicely.

The hibachi and soup was the best we have had around here. Tuna tataki was excellent. Great sushi too! Service was spot on. Will definitely return!

I LOVE this place! The food is always delicious and flavorful. The staff is always helpful and courteous! Everyone one is always working hard to make sure you have a wonderful time! The chefs are amazing and always keep me laughing! 😂

We love this place,our go-to for hibachi! Everything is always delicious with generous portions. Perfectly seared shrimp, juicy steak, the best hibachi noodles, yummy fried rice, my favorite seaweed salad, love the salad dressing and their Gyoza is deliciously crispy and nicely filled. The experience is way worth it! The majority of our group ordered he chicken hibachi and it was delicious. The service were massive. The chefs were all very interactive, experienced, and fun! It’s like dinner and a show (: kid friendly too! Also great for large groups as you sit around the grills in groups.

Visited for 1st time, the environment was nice. They were busy on a Wednesday, the food was great. Portions were decent and have to say the food was yummy. I would definitely visit again and recommend.

Hibachi grill is fun for kids and adults. Service was fast. Food is really good and you get enough for lunch the next day.
