My go-to for traditional non-milk teas; I favor hojicha & matcha. The seasonal flavors such as yuzu & asian pear add another level of variety & complexity & you can get it unsweetened as well. There are local baked goods but they disappear quickly, but I was able to snag a black sesame cookie. The matcha sparkler hits the spot on a warm day too.

I love the architecture and atmosphere of this place. Green tea is excellent! We didn't think this is the best place for Boba. (My husband and my daughter are the Boba freak!) I LOVE the menu. Very different and well done. I thought this place could be more cleaner. Flies are just everywhere and floor are very messy. But overall, come and try their many choices of hot tea.

good variety of choices
as a matcha lover, was pleasantly surprised at how good the drink is
really liked how chewy the pearls were
recommend getting their yuzu matcha latte with unsweetened option

This spot is aesthetically unique with it’s minimalistic modern architecture! The drinks hit the spot just as equally (pictured iced chai latte and matcha latte). While super flavorful and aromatic, the infused spices in the chai latte are quite strong and would suggest getting a hot version of the drink without boba.

Best drink on the menu has to be the Hong Kong milk tea! I personally found the drink to be just a tad bit milky, not sweet enough, and had a little too much ice so keep that in mind when making adjustments to your drink! Another good drink is the Sea Salt Crema tea. Overall though, very good and one of my go to boba spots in the east bay for sure.

Nice and clean place to hangout. We got the hot Jasmine tea and Matcha latte with the jasmine flavor. Both were awesome!

Visited last weekend and the quality of their tea was once again just incredible! This place is for anyone who enjoys good tea and not just the bland generic tea flavors other boba spots offer. The matcha latte is also always an excellent choice with strong matcha flavor

Asha tea house is lovely! The whole atmosphere is so lovingly crafted and I didn't want to leave one bit. The matcha is good. It's a tad bitter but I tend to enjoy a more bitter matcha so it's ok. Would highly recommend!

The jasmine taro milk tea or the oolong milk tea immaculate. Don’t get the matcha tho it kind of tastes like seaweed. But apart from that their teas are so good but on the less sweet side

Delicious Hojicha Latte (roasted green tea), quiet, clean calm decor, quick service. Also had a matcha latte here which was properly made and good!

a very beautiful and unique cafe. probably some of the most authentic matcha in the area, and they don't skimp on the matcha in lattes like many other places. definitely on the pricy side (a regular latte with alt milk will run you about 8$) but it's worth the price!

Asha has a pretty good selection of tea that lacks much of the pretence that Teance has. It's a small place nearby Shattuck Bart and campus on university and they will prepare your tea correctly and tell you how to if you don't know how to.
The store is pleasant and somewhat small, although larger slightly than the store in SF, and they reserve seats for people taking tea sets at the bar so you can have a seat (there are a lot of folks on laptops).
There's a smattering of tiny food including mochi muffins which are great.
They also serve boba if that's your thing, but you are missing out if you don't try their excellent tea service.

This place has the best boba tea I have tried around the Bay Area. Both the tea and the boba were excellent.

Love asha - lots of different teas and different seasonal flavors. In addition they have a tea bar which lets you try a bit of their loose leaf teas before you buy as well as try out some of their different tea equipment which is great.
Usually quite crowded and impossible to find a seat - though not during covid of course.
Their fruit teas are awesome and super different flavors, and actually brewed from tea not powder!

Always my favorite go to spot in Berkeley! I’m grateful that they are still in business under this pandemic and carrying my fav seasonal drink!!
The drink in this pic is: Grape Oolong with Boba (and it’s slightly sweeten already)

Me and my children got amazing service from the cashier named Alex, their kindness was radiating in the whole store. Would come again. 👍

Masala Chai Latte is what I drank. Walking distance from Half Price Books and right next to a Pizzeria.
My latte was not overly sweet. Friendly staff and clean place. Parking? Nope, I took a Lyft here.
