My favourite local coffee spot that I frequent whenever I’m in Berkeley. Everything I’ve had here is delicious — from the coffee to the food + pastries. My favourite thing to order is the breakfast sandwich x coffee drink combo. The veggie bagel sandwich is also a fav.

Perfect college town shop! Great prices, great food and drinks, and really nice atmosphere. Everyone who served me was friendly and quick! You can order ahead on snackpass if you're in a rush, or sit down and do work at their tables.

Good atmosphere and good chicken pesto panini. If they had blended coffee drinks with a silent blender, it would be much better. But still worth it

I love to try local and new coffee shops in the east bay and Gold Bean Cafe did not disappoint. The setting is beautiful and great customer service, they have a wide variety of drinks and food to order all which look phenomenal. I opted for the famous egg and cheese with bacon, and a dulce de leche iced latte both were less than 18$ and worth the price. If you haven’t tried it yet get yourself some great coffee and a wonderful breakfast bagel.

Solid find. New coffee spot that opened in April 2022. Fast wifi, clean bathrooms, GREAT customer service and definitely not least awesome bagel sandwich and drinks. I got an egg & cheese bagel on cheddar jalapeño with avocado and veggies. Superb choice 👌

Gold Bean Cafe is my girlfriend and I favorite local cafe. A great place to stop at before heading to the saturday farmers market. With a really friendly, top notch group of people working here.

The horchata cold brew is my new favorite coffee, after trying it for the first time here.(Horchata made in house)

Their bagels are really good and make for some of the best breakfast sandwiches in town!

The muffins are always moist and delicious as well!

Tried their oat horchata cold brew and dulce de leche latte, both were great drinks. If you’re adventurous go for their cold brew and if you have a sweet tooth get the latte.

Super sweet people and the service is really quick too. There are tables to enjoy your order while studying. Plus, they have free Wi-Fi. Awesome place near campus! ^^

Come here before and/or after class!! Free wi-fi & some tables to study/eat at both inside & outside. The service is wonderful with so many friendly faces & their new hire with the red hair makes excellent drinks :) They have a great variety of beverages that are all tasty & stay cold for quite a while. I personally love getting the Oat Horchata Matcha & the Ciabatta, Bacon, Egg, & Spinach breakfast sandwich. Prices are great & the quality of the drinks & food are great!! Everything on the menu is so good!! Better than Starbucks, without a doubt 10/10

Perfect place for breakfast! The bagel is very quality and filling. Caramel latte is pretty good. Going to try other specialty drinks and smoothy.

I love Gold Bean! I believe it’s a family/friend owned & run place, and everyone there is so friendly. Every time I go (which is often) the service is amazing and the drinks are also so good. I will keep coming back! :)

This is my new coffee spot in Berkeley. Family owned/operated and they treat every customer like they’re a welcomed member of the family.
Make sure to try their horchata cold brew…it’s the one! Plenty of tasty bagels and baked goods for your morning fuel too.

I stopped in to have a great Thai tea and relax after a long walk. So glad I did. Service is friendly. Will return to try the sandwiches, bagels etc.

I went here with a coworker only because we saw two other coworkers sitting inside. We walked in, greeted them in our usual way, then turned around to order some coffee. I had ordered a favorite of mine, the dirty chai with a shot of espresso. Hot or iced, it’s what I liked.
As it turned out, for my first time there, it was an excellent chai, exactly what I needed on that excellent day.

Wouldn't nessesarily say it's a great place to study as there are many distractions and it is a smaller space!

Was in Berkeley on business and happened upon Gold Bean Cafe. I had almost no free time to myself, so having a coffeehouse so close by was a lucky coincidence. Having one this great was true blessing. I had the Dulce de Lèche and Dark Chocolate lattes. Both were soooo delicious. The brew was smooth and balanced and the drinks were not overly sweet. Both were treats! On my last day, I had to go one more time before the airport. I added a sandwich - the Berkeley Turkey. I am so glad I did. It was taaaaaasty! I will fly home happy for sure. The staff is very friendly and the vibe is super chill. I will be back on my next visit to Berkeley. So please do not go anywhere!

I loveeee the Mexican inspired lattes! I recommend the iced dulce de leche. It reminds me of my childhood haha

Everyone loves this place their food is delicious and fresh, we love the chicken pesto panini. They make great tasting coffee drinks and the staff are some of the nicest people. Since they opened we go there 3-4 times per week!
