The Dinner Bell

This is a hidden gem. The food was great. Everything seemed home cooked. I got the hamburger steak with fried green tomatoes and beans. The waitress was very friendly and the food came out quickly. I recommend them but they close early so don't miss lunch

This is a great little restaurant in downtown Clanton, Alabama. We were passing through and decided to stop for breakfast. I thought the food was excellent and very affordable. Great breakfast.

I always love eating at the dinner bell. Sherry Jacks and her staff prepare very good food. Nothing better than home style vegetables.

I absolutely love eating at the Dinner Bell. The atmosphere is out of this world, it's very clean, the staff is so friendly and quick to get to you. The food is out of this world. If you want the best chicken livers around you got to go to the Dinner Bell. I promise you won't be disappointed. All of the food is absolutely delicious and fresh. The price on food is very reasonable. You will definitely get your money's worth. I've ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. There breakfast is delicious. No matter what I eat here it's always delicious and fresh.

First time in the Dinner Bell. It harkens a little to the original restaurant in Clanton by that name. The food was good and served hot. Service was excellent. I will definitely be back to this one. If they could have gotten the pie recipes from the original Dinner Bell owner, who took those to her grave, they would truly have a place that set them apart.

Great place to eat lunch and run into old friends in Clanton, Al. Lots of choices and all of them are good! Outstanding Club Sandwich! Excellent food and great staff.

Outstanding, Fresh and Healthy Lunch shared with Mom for her Birthday. Mom chose the grilled chicken tenders, while I chose the grilled hamburger steak and onions with brown gravy. Both of us chose the same three sides, Macaroni & Cheese, Fresh Hamburger Vegetable soup, and the freshest, cleanest salad bar in town.

The grilled chicken, moist and seasoned well. For me, the best hamburger steak and onions I've ever had. Mac and Cheese loaded with cheddar. The vegetable soup delectable. Mom chose the Thousand Islands. Me, I topped the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, beets, hard-boiled eggs with the BEST homemade buttermilk dressing I've tasted in some time, along with croutons.

We were both served carrot cake for our dessert, and when finished with lunch, our waitress, Jennifer offered us a deliciously fresh cup of coffee.

Your Mom will be happy if you take her to The Dinner Bell.

Doesn't matter where you're driving from, whether from I-65S in Mobile at I-10 or any of the fine Lower Alabama beaches to anywhere as far North as Chicago or Toronto ... a perfect lunchtime stop from a morning's 200mi drive up I-65 from the beaches. Ideal place to R&R for a healthy and tasty lunch, served by caring small-town folks with smiling faces.

I'm local. This place is a Keeper, better than just a once a week place to dine.

The pancakes were the size of my plate and the bacon was just right. Staff was very friendly. Definitely going back. This is my new Saturday breakfast place.

Just discovered this place the other day. The food is good..and plentiful....reasonably priced. And yes ..the service is good. I will DEFINITELY be a regular here!

The veggie beef soup is to die for!!!
One of my favorites, along with beef tips, & rice, & the homemade mashed potatoes, so delicious.
Lacie always made sure my tea was full, I had everything I need, very knowledgeable about the specials, & the menu, & I always received service with a smile.

We stopped in for breakfast! We had Biscuit and gravy, country fried steak and omelette. Everything was so good! ❤❤❤
