I am from Chicago and I visit Aurora every so often. As a prospective Master's student from Chicago, having a reliable and fast computer is a top priority for me. That's why I decided to search for a computer shop online, and after browsing through several options, I chose Nick. Fortunately, he was available. Although I had to wait for a few hours on the day of our meeting, I believe in energy and he displayed great energy on the phone and I decided to stick around. When I met Nick he was very welcoming, and pleasant, and his family was kind.

Nick explained everything that he was doing thoroughly and his experience with computers was evident. Overall, I was impressed with Nick's professionalism and knowledge. He cleaned the viruses off my computer, fixed it so it could charge, helped me get back into my iPad that locked me out and he was very affordable. The hour drive was worth it. Thank you, Nick🫶

Nick is incredibly knowledgeable about computers/electronics. He genuinely cares about the work he is doing and really puts care into it all! I brought my PC in for a few diagnosed and undiagnosed issues, and Nick was able to figure them out quickly. He went above and beyond what I requested and I'll only come here moving forward.

Nick fixed my laptop in record time, was polite and professional, explained the issues toe in simple terms without being condescending, and his prices were spot on. I won't be going to anyone else for repairs, Nick is the best!

I came here one weekend afternoon with my broken Chromebook after going to two other repair services in Aurora, and Nick gladly helped me immediately as I called his shop. I had plenty of time, so I waited while he worked, and he explained to me what was going on with my device as well.
Nick is quick and talented, kind, and a very understanding man. I will definitely come back here for future repairs.

Nick was a big help to me when I busted my computer with liquid. He was able to see me right away at first call. He was super kind and very welcoming in meeting him. I needed an HDMI replacement for my ps5 and I went to Nick's electronics. This man knows what he is doing. Great customer service and he did the repair from start to finish right in front of me! Nick is definitely the guy to go, my desktop was starting to give me gray hairs but he was able to fix it and improved it probably in less than one hour, great customer services and great pricing

Perhaps it's obligatory to say that he knows his computers. I mean, he really does. He was able to give a pretty accurate diagnosis just from my description right on the phone.
Then, after a little direct examination, was able to not only give a clear assessment as to the trouble, but instantly assured me that it was all very fixable. (And my hard drive was in the process of failing, and my system was swamped with viruses).
But what really stood out for me was the amazing communication and customer service.
Don't let that he works from home throw you, this is much better service and assurance than you would get from any of those big stores.
And because it's his own home-based business, he can also charge a more reasonable price, and still give the same solid service.
If you have any computer or gaming system problems, Nick needs to be your first call.

I called him the other day to ask if he could fix a broken HDMI port for an Xbox Series X. He did it the day of and at a discounted price since it was already disassembled. Nick let me sit in on the repair, he explained the process the whole time through and was polite and friendly. The service was quick despite other issues with the console and Nick even went past his closing time for this repair. He did excellent work and my Xbox working like new!

He’s the most brilliant AND caring AND capable AND reasonable tech expert I have ever encountered. I’ve lived and worked all over the country and never met anyone in any service industry like him! Nick is the guy we all WISH we could find to solve our tech problems— he stops at nothing to deliver whatever you need, from the mundane to the miraculous. If you hand over your computer issue to anyone else, you’re nuts!

Here’s what I got from Nick Stevens: superb work, returning maximum value, for minimum cost, in record time… with NO PAIN. Stretch your mind around THAT unfamiliar concept!

Nick treats everyone like an equal— no, even better— like family. He actually listens and cares about what matters to you. He gives you the straight scoop, explains whatever you need explained, has the lowest rates anywhere, and never takes advantage. Where have you encountered that lately? NOWHERE.

MY STORY:
It started with a 10+ yr old HP Pavilion I’d inherited from my sister and wanted to give to my niece. She’s quite special to me; if it could be upgraded to be usable and current, it would help her out a lot. But my minuscule budget was a big problem; after researching online I decided to try Nick. Right off the bat he gave me a can-do attitude, saying “Just bring it on over, I’ll take care of it at a price you can afford.”

Nick diagnosed it and told me exactly what it would cost up front. He completed the work in ONE DAY: replaced the dead battery, installed an SSD HD, and upgraded to the latest Windows software. AND ALL FOR A MERE $110 BUCKS! Are you kidding?? He charged me no labor whatsoever. Incredible! Had it cost more, I couldn’t have done it; in effect, he shortchanged himself to make me and my niece happy. What a guy!

Then a week later my own HD crashed (an old 2007 MacBook) and I had to call Nick again. He took it right away, staying up all night working to rescue my data. But each time he started the 3.5 hour transfer process, my old HD kept failing just before completion. Anyone else would have ditched the project and called me in the morning with the bad news— but Nick is relentless! He worked 20 hrs straight without sleep, finally having to open the HD and surgically replace some faulty capacitors. He recovered my data to a new SSD HD and installed it in my MacBook, charging me only for the HD itself! NO LABOR CHARGES whatsoever. I just couldn’t believe it. Still don’t.

Then another week later my old battery blew and I was back to see Nick again. We ordered a new battery + extra RAM… a decision I unfortunately made in an exhausted state, without foresight. I lay awake all night thinking, “What am I doing putting money into this old rust-bucket MacBook? Wrong move!”

So the next day I expressed regret to Nick about the order we’d just placed, asking his counsel in finding a smarter path. Luckily a friend loaned me $$$, so I had $550 bucks to spend on a solution. From the prices on Apple’s website, it seemed impossible!! But Nick was the best advisor you could ever want: he sat with me for several hours talking it over and evaluating options.

And that led to the biggest miracle of all: that same day Nick found me a brand new refurbished iMac for ~ $450 bucks!!! Totally unheard of: an M1 22” 3GHz Quad Core i5 with a 1Tb SSD HD, upgraded to 16G RAM and all the latest OS software, plus a new mouse and keyboard, all for a grand total $540 bucks including setup & data transfer!!! Again he waived labor charges, knowing I was at the limit of my resources. He’s my tech angel for sure! I now have the computer of my dreams, one that would have cost me $5K+ had I bought it direct from Apple. Again, Nick made the impossible possible.

NOW do you see why I recommend Nick Stevens so highly?? You need to know what a treasure this guy is!! He gives clients far more than what they pay for. Whatever your issue, JUST CALL HIM. Nick will treat you right and forevermore you’ll never call anyone else.

Really nice, respectful. Knows his stuff. Got a battery replacement for my psvita. Definitely recommended if you need something looked at.

Has fixed many controllers for us. Very fast response time and reasonably priced! Also, built us a gaming PC.

I called Nick because I just replaced the battery in my XPS laptop myself, however, the audio from the speaker was no longer working after turning it back on (but sound worked with headphones). He was able to fix that issue along with a broken hinge that I didn't even know my laptop had. Nick is super friendly and clearly knows his stuff. Highly recommend calling Nick if you have anything electronic that needs fixing. Thanks again Nick!
