The full size wings were fried perfectly! I was hoping the baked Mac and cheese would have a little more flavor. But it was cooked so well and yummy regardless. You can never go wrong with collard greens. This was a good hardy meal for $16. I got the jerk chicken wings to share too. (no picture) They were packed with flavor and just fell off the bone. Oh! The blueberry lemonade was so sweet but still tart! 😋I was worried about ordering so close to the end of business hours. They did great regardless!! Our unit nurses really appreciated the effort and quality in our meals.

Best soul food in town. Everything from the ox tail, fried chicken, cheese steaks, to the Mac and cheese. This place is on point! We mixed our lemonades (strawberry and blueberry) best idea!

I went here being from Maryland where seafood is made incredibly well where I would catch and cook my own catfish and the fried catfish that I had here was delicious and seasoned perfectly, alongside it I got mac and cheese which was super cheesy and creamy. I then also ordered oxtail with rice and beans with fried plantains. my first time ever having fried plantains and because of the pecan tree they are now a food that I will be seeking out because it was so good. the oxtail was rich in flavor and super tender, the spices and browning were to a level that was just perfect. the rice and beans were incredible very well seasoned and when you mix the sauce from the oxtail with it it is a game changer. All in all the food was incredible.

The service was amazing as well we were the only customers in the store and Kevin the owner and I had a conversation about food, football, and college. the place is super well kept and clean. After my meal I still had a little food leftover and Kevin brought me a bag without me having to ask. there is a genuine level of care for the customers and belief in the food here. I cannot wait to come back and try everything else on the menu.

Best food in CENTRAL PA at home delicious country cooking. The food is always hot and served in a timely manner that’s is appeasing to the appetite. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel like a valued customer and I adore the customer service. If you are in York you MUST eat here this place sets the standard wishing this amazing restaurant nothing but the best of success in the future

Now I’m sure the oxtail here is bomb, but the chicken wings are BEYOND good. That’s all we’ll order because they’re that good. I’ve lived in Virginia Beach, Jacksonville Florida, and DC and I’m telling you these are the best chicken wings you’re gonna find anywhere. We’re leaving the York area soon and we’re going to miss these wings more than anything else in the whole area. The desserts are bomb too.

Went there today 1/27/24 for lunch and the place was so relaxing and the food was on point I was definitely satisfied. Definitely recommend

Great customer service and delicious food! Enough for 2 meals. I got the whiting, yams and greens. My husband got the 4 wings, greens and potatoe salad. Everything was seasoned well...the greens were just a little too salty but still good. The potato salad was definitely homemade..my husband loved the wings! My fish and yams were on popoint. We will be back!!!

Love the food. The lady that runs it. Is amazing and very welcoming.

If I could give it 10 stars I would! The oxtails were succulent and meaty. The Mac and cheese might have been made by an angel. The service was friendly and quick. Definitely coming back

I ordered the Whiting Fish dinner w/ collard greens & baked macaroni and the food was delicious!! The portions are generous so you're getting plenty for your money! Top off your meal with a bean pie for your dessert. Great soul food has arrived in downtown York, PA.

The vibe, soulful and so is the food. This is a hidden gem in York. The oxtails, yams, wings and lemonade is top notch. Fun fact, the owner’s son is Kevin Byard who plays safety for the Eagles. Miss Zakia the owner wife is A1.

Went in for the first time, and I can't believe I didn't check them out sooner! Absolutely amazing food, super friendly, very clean restaurant, and the prices are great considering how delicious and filling the food is! Definitely a must stop if you're in York!!!

The food was amazing. Had oxtails and also fried whiting it was very good . The Mac and cheese is very good also. But my favorite was the banana mousse was by far the best I ever had.

It felt like home! We enjoyed the old school music and ofcourse the food was incredible and made fresh to order! We will definitely return!

The oxtail is phenomenal. The meat falls off the bone and is perfectly tender. The gravy is flavorful and expertly seasoned. Just amazing overall!

The environment and staff are truly a reflection of the owner, and both are immaculate! The food tastes like it was made with the love of a grandmother. 5 stars, and a wonderful place.

This place is the absolute BEST! I drive from Hanover to York just for the seafood salad alone! Everything I've had has been out of thos world spectacular! I thought I made good fried chicken.... boy, I ain't got nothing on theirs. OMG, must try, made FRESH to order. So plan to wait and it's worth it. Current favorite drink, gotta be mango lemonade 😋 enjoy yall highly recommended 👌

Today was my first time going to this restaurant and I will say that it did not disappoint. The food and customer service was top notch. The Mac and cheese, broccoli and salmon cheese steak, fried catfish and banana mousse was 10's across the board. This place is one of my new favorite restaurants.
