Went for a walk-in candle making experience and it was perfect! Janene led my aunt and I through every step of the process, giving us technique tips and history of the shop. They had an array of unique glassware to choose from for your candle, with dozens of scents and even dyes if you chose. We had an absolutely amazing time and will be back in the future. Would definitely recommend as a date night or for larger groups!

This is the coolest store! Not only do they have amazing candles where you can make your own, but I don't think people realize they have a bunch of really good gift items, goodies for your furry friends, a tea bar, and a succulent bar! This store truly has it all and I love going to it!

my friend and I just stopped in for a candle-making tutorial—and oh my goodness it was a blast!! Michelle was so incredibly sweet to us, and she made our time so fun and creative! we loved how our candles turned out, too! You Make Scents is such a cozy shop and a great place to spend an afternoon with some wine, snacks, and good friends. you MUST stop in if you’re anywhere near Bel Air! thanks for such a great time!

My boyfriend and I had a great time making our 1st candles together. The owner and her daughter are very sweet too.

My daughter and I stopped in for an impromptu candle making session. Janene was amazing and incredibly patient and took her time showing my eight-year-old daughter all of the steps. The shop had some great treasures and merchandise as well! Lots of fun and always a pleasure to shop local!

You Make Scents Candles has a little of everything! Local artisans offer gifts for everyone in this shop located in the Town of Bel Air. This is a must see if you are looking for unique and special!

As A Huge Harry Potter fan I was amazed by the variety of things they have, everything is unique and hand crafted. I personally bought a necklace of Harry Potters wand and a Gryffindor candle and it was super affordable and they have stuff for all genders and ages.
