I love this place. The atmosphere definitely fits the name, giving off a very cheery vibe whether you are seated inside or outside. The staff is always friendly, and the food hasn’t taken an unreasonable amount of time to arrive even when they are busy. Most importantly, however, the food is delicious. I have gotten a Nutella crepe both times I’ve come here and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Also, they have possibly the best orange juice I have ever tasted.

This is such a cute little cafe right by the main st in Bel Air. It's not that big, so they get pretty busy, and you may have to wait maybe 20mins. We ordered the Croissant with Nutella, The Elvis, which is Waffle bananas and peanut butter, and the Bonjour, which is French toast egg and sausage/bacon.

What a cute little family cafe! The staff is truly lovely here. They serve a huge breakfast menu along with some lunch items. Everything really looks delicious! They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It's not that big but the decor makes it homey. My first visit my sister and I sat down inside. We got a table right away and it wasn't too crowded. After spying some breakfast sandwiches getting served to the table next to us, I knew that's what I wanted! I ordered scrambled eggs and bacon on a bagel with ketchup and it did not disappoint! The home fries were also tasty. They did forget my bacon at first but quickly fixed their mistake. I didn't mind because the rest of my experience made up for it! I actually came back a second time for takeout. This time I ordered a BLT and fries. The fries were a HUGE portion and the BLT tasted very fresh! As I was waiting at the counter, I had multiple employees check on me to make sure I was being helped and didn't need anything else! This is definitely a gem and you can tell the workers care about their customers and take pride in their work. I even enjoyed the staffs shirts and the funny sayings on the back haha! I highly recommend checking out Sunny Day Cafe and I can't wait to try more of their menu!

Awesome joint! We are just visiting MD and found this gem to have a wholesome breakfast with our 2 year old and 6 month old. Their croissants, chicken and waffles, and this southwestern omelet were highlights!

My husband and I took our 11 month old for breakfast on a Thursday morning and had a great experience. They were definitely busy but all of our food came out quickly and we were well taken care of. They even took the time to cut up my sons fruit cup into bite sized pieces. Dining with an almost toddler isn’t always easy and they were very accommodating! Will be back!

Sunny Day has quickly become my family's favorite place to get breakfast in our area. The servers are always kind and welcoming and willing to go the extra mile, the prices are very reasonable, and most importantly, the food is AMAZING. You have to try the crepes!

I've been to this place a few times. The service is always great. Everything has been pretty good thus far. I've gotten the stuffed French toast and I enjoyed that. I have also ordered pancakes that were a great size and really tasty. The chicken and waffles were pretty good. The chicken is just chicken strips but the sauce with honey is delicious and the potatoes are awesome they have peppers in them and they had a great taste. The waffles was nice and big and it was fluffy. Overall great breakfast.

We love this place! We’ve never had a bad meal or bad service here. Food is fresh and delicious and everyone is so friendly. Their crepes are amazing! My son had Oreo pancakes today and my niece had a croissant with Nutella and Reese’s pieces. Both gave two thumbs up!

I genuinely adore the atmosphere here and the owner. As soon as I entered, she remembered my usual order and the specific milk I prefer. Not only did she craft a special drink for my toddler, but the coffee itself was heavenly. The beans had this wonderful blend of smoky, oak, and rich flavors. She even shared tips on making espresso at home. Don't miss out on this unique place; it's a real treasure.

I'm just finally getting around to leaving a review for this place. We've actually been going here for years and I've never been unhappy. Service is always friendly and it's a nice place too, especially during the warm months when you can sit outside. I know it sounds basic, but if you go here for lunch, do get the grilled cheese & bacon - trust me.

Needed something different for lunch this past weekend and decided to try something in downtown Bel Air. Long story short.....we will be coming back! Everything was super delicious, in good portions, and I was super impressed that the server knew the different between celiac disease and gluten intolerance and wanted to ensure that I wouldn't get sick. That is very rare to find in restaurants, and I greatly appreciated that they actually had gluten free bread that was pretty good! So many things we want to try, so we will be back!

Went to Sunny Day Cafe on Veterans Day. It is a rare occasion for my husband and I to go out for a breakfast date. Decided to try Sunny Day based on positive comments made by coworkers. Initially checked in and encountered a rude waitress who didn't want to help find seats for us. I was very disappointed and we left. I immediately sent a comment via FB to their site explaining the treatment we received. Within minutes I got a response from the owner asking to make it right. He saved a table for us and we had a completely different experience when we returned. The food was AMAZING. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. I tried my first crepe and can't wait to go back. I only wish the place was bigger with more seating. For a place that busy I was pleasantly surprised of how important it was to the owner to make sure we had a great experience. I definitely recommend the Sunny Day Cafe.

How did I not know about this gem of a place?

Tasty, fresh food, & great portions make prices worthwhile. Pleasant staff! Minimal (carry out) wait time despite a peak time and a full house.

During a local craft show nearby, I ordered an Egg, Swiss, and scrapple English muffin sandwich (pictured, $8) with a side order of fresh cut potatoes (non-pictured because they were devoured, $4), and an iced coffee(non-pictured, $2).

A friend ordered the
Avocado breakfast toast, and we had happy tummies for the day :)

There was a wait, but trust me...wait. it is worth every second if the wait. The portions were huge compared to other places, and the price was phenomenal.

We had the avacado toast, Monte cristo, and stuffed french toast. I can't say enough how good the food was. I laughed when the sign read voted best breakfast, but I'd believe it!

The place was small and crowded, not in a bad way, but intimate.the food was delicious, I ordered the eggs benedict and it was made perfectly. Servers were friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend!

We Love SDC! Stuffed French toast is amazing, creamed chipped beef, or egg benny. Buffalo chicken wrap is also a GoTo for lunch. Wish the place was a little bigger because the wait can get long.

For the past year I have been wanting to stop by this place and try it out. I had the opportunity this past week with our kids. The thing I love the most is the outdoor sidewalk seating. I absolutely love that atmosphere and surrounded by the beauty of old town Bel Air Main St, that set the tone for us to enjoy breakfast together. It is a nice dining option for the city of Bel Air for those that choose to eat in the fresh outdoor air.

Starting with the staff, they are fantastic. Energetic, proficient and attentive. Our waitress was great and it was very nice to see the other waiters supporting each other. I honestly don’t think I saw the inside bottom of my coffee mug the entire time.

Now the for the food. I just have to get this out right away ..... THEY SERVE BREAKFAST ALL DAY! I cannot count how many times we have woke up or got a late start and realized breakfast plans were done since everyone moved to lunch. Both my boys ordered pancakes with bacon. Since bacon is or should be it’s own food group, I am happy to report that it is thick, cooked perfectly and delicious. The pancakes were HUGE. Typically the kids clean their plate. Not this time. I ordered, per the suggestion of our waitress, the ham and cheese crepes. They were served with a mixed green salad with creamy Caesar if I am not mistaken. That was a very enjoyable plate that I also couldn’t finish.

All in all, I have Sunny Day Cafe 5 stars for location, atmosphere, service and food. All were top notch. I cannot wait until I can have a “breakfast” date with my wife at this spot!
