Michael R. Briseño, M.D.

I suffered from sciatica due to spinal stenosis for many years, and it became so unbearable this past year that I made the decision to have surgery in hopes of relieving some of my pain. Dr. Michael Briseño performed a laminectomy and spinal fusion on my lower lumbar and after one month of recovery I realized I was pain free! I struggled with the decision to have surgery but Dr. Briseño was able to answer all of my questions and help calm my nerves as I prepared for surgery and recovery. He is an outstanding surgeon. I wasn't expecting to be totally pain free but it is now 3 months after surgery and I'm still pain free! Dr. Briseño helped me get my life back, which is such a blessing for me and my entire family. I am so fortunate that Dr. Briseño is with North Texas Orthopedics in Grapevine and Keller, which is where I have been going for pain management treatments for years. I highly recommend N. Texas Ortho and all of their specialists.

Very professional and helpful from the initial check in to all of Dr Briseno's assistants. The efficiency at which patients are set up to receive the doctors consultation was very timely and much appreciated from a customer service standpoint to stay on schedule. Well done.

I highly recommend the North Texas Orthopedics & Spine Center.The appointment reminder is handy. The location and parking is convenient. Sign-in is quick and the waiting room-stay is comfortable and short. The staff is helpful, patient, and professional.
Doctor Briseno is excellent. He takes time to explain reasons for my discomfort and the best method(s) for relief. He pays attention to my concerns and offers choices to fit my needs. He is extremely knowledgeable and sincere.

Dr. Briseno performed my back surgery. I had seen other spine surgeons and no one could guarantee a successful outcome. I had gotten to the point where I needed to position myself in bed daily to keep from the increasing pain levels. I had no life beside trying to position myself so my back wouldn’t hurt as much.
My surgery was 100% successful. I am back to walking 3 miles a day and am planning to get back to my exercise weight program. I feel fortunate that Dr. Briseno was my surgeon. He has great “bedside” manner and his training reveals why he is a top notch surgeon. Talking with him is enjoyable and he knows what he is talking about! His P.A. Rachel, is also top notch. She is well acquainted with everything concerning my case and has offered many tips for me to maximize my recovery. I feel lucky to have her involved with my case as well.
I do not hesitate to more than highly recommend Dr. Briseno, MD to any patient with spinal/back pain. My consultation was thrilling as he confidently evaluated my MRI/ Radiological report. Putting it in terms I could understand. He gave me options and I couldn’t be happier that I chose surgery. I was up and walking later that day. Aftercare is excellent. Everyone in the office is kind and professional as well. A truly remarkable experience!

I did not have to wait long before I was called The staff was prompt and courteous. Dr Briseno was was very helpful and patient with me. He put my mind at ease. He explained the surgical process and gave me courage to have the fusion surgery to repair my back. He is a wonderful person and professional.

I was seen in office and sent for an MRI. The day I was supposed to get the results, the practice canceled due to bad weather. When they reopened Friday I called to reschedule, hoping for that day because I was in extreme pain from a herniated disc pressing on a nerve. That evening, Dr. Tucker called me from his home and changed the medicine protocol and discussed the MRI findings. He wanted me to be seen by one of the surgeons on Monday. The changes to the medicine allowed me to get through the weekend. On Sunday afternoon, a nurse called to check on me and schedule me for Dr. Briseno the next day. He was extremely kind and professional and clear in what my treatment options were. So far, I feel like the doctors and staff here have gone above and beyond to do a great job.

Great experience. Dr. Briseno along with his excellent bed side manner is extremely knowledgeable and a talented surgeon. I had fusion surgery back in Oct of 2019 and I am 100% healed. Truly remarkable. I highly encourage you to have him at a minimum take a look at your injury.

Dr Briseno is one of the best Orthopedic Specialists I ever had the pleasure to work with. His bedside manner and professionalism are excellent. I am very pleased so far with the results of my back surgery.

Every time I have a visit with Dr. Briseno, I am impressed by his compassionate and professional approach to my serious spine condition. I send him questions before my visit and then come in with a list of new questions written on paper with my pen in hand. He has always read the questions I emailed and patiently answers each one. I can only conclude that he is a brilliant surgeon since I have gone from barely being able to move, to swimming, walking, driving, dancing and caring for grandkids sometimes 8 hours a day. I am 6 months post spinal fusion and multiple laminectomies. Dr. Briseno is great at helping me manage my medication which gives me more confidence in his knowledge and experience as a spine surgeon. I cannot imagine going through this ordeal with anyone but him. I am excited about the improvement I know will come. Dr, Briseno has earned my trust - the highest honor I have to give. Dr. Briseno is awesome. He did my back surgery and I was out of pain that same day. The only pain that I had is where he did the surgery. I will recommend to all my family and friends and whoever needs back surgery.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Briseno was very thorough in his explanation of my prognosis. Most importantly, they saw me in a timely manner. I drove to Keller from Arlington because the group in Arlington is not punctual.

I have actually seen several doctors in this practice including Dr. Briseno, his PA, April Bolt, and Dr. Llanos. The entire group has been phenomenal. I am pending my surgery; however, at this point, I would highly recommend North Texas Ortho to everyone! Great services but wonderful caring people!

It took me years to find a Doctor that actually would take the time to listen and take care of my pain. I have Bursitis which is not something that can be fixed with surgery but the injections I get periodically help with the pain.

These Doctors and the staff are great and take good care of me.

My spine surgery procedure with Dr. Briseno and the rest of the surgical staff could not have gone better. The pain in my right leg, which had been fairly extreme for the last seven months, was immediately gone. Additionally, I had no pain following surgery at the incision. Since my surgery I have not needed any pain meds, not even so much as an aspirin. My experience may or may not have been typical, but I have been very pleased with the outcome.

Awesome!!!! I have seen Dr. Briseno and Dr. Ted Peters. I cant imagine possibly having a better experience. Professional and excellent at what they do. The staff at the surgery center is top notch. The staff at the offices are friendly and quick. Hope you never need an orthopedic surgeon, but if you do, this is the place you want to come to.

I wish you offered a higher rating in the number of stars. Only my vocabulary would limit me in my expression. The entire staff, especially Dr. Breseno, was caring, attentive, kind, patient, efficient, knowledgeable, understanding, and thorough. Communication was extremely clear and concise.

I arrived for my very first visit with Dr. Briseño with a myriad of issues that were way beyond his expertise. I knew going in was going to be extremely terrifying for me as I suffer w/ so many issues as a result of one incident in 2015! He never belittled me, he LISTENED and gave me a sense of calmness. I've spent, no joke at least 18 months total in a hospital bed enduring 30 plus surgeries since October 2015.Loke6i mentioned, he could ha e just walked in and said I can6help you, but he didn't. He shared with me alternet plans of actions which helped me to understand why I'm feeling them w/ such severity. Thank You Dr. Briceño for your extended time with me.
