Great morning food with a wide variety of baked goods and other items.
We mainly go for the croissants, which we find incredibly good. Crispy exterior with light interior, blend with butter and jam so perfectly.
You order at the friendly counter and they bring the food to you. We were served by kitchen staff, who went out of their way to bring us utensils and napkins. The morning dining area is set yourself up style.
Dining area in and out is a wonderful large area that is cozy throughout.
Definitely recommend and will return.

Pico Cafe and Bakery is a return to San Remo, Italy.

This Ballard neighborhood restaurant has it all. Beautiful decor and atmosphere. Amazingly kind and friendly staff and of course great food.

Unfortunately, I did not get the chance to try their Italian cuisine, but if it's anything like there breakfast cafe, I can only imagine how delicious it must be.

I was staying near by and got breakfast here 3 days in a row.

The blueberry crumble muffin is moist and sweet. I always paired it with their sausage roll. The two together with coffee made a light breakfast.

They have every muffin, scone, croissant, cookie that you could want.

The magic of the place was its outdoor garden seating. Like I said it reminded me of eating out in Italy.

If you do come for dinner, come a little earlier, they seem to be popular and it might take a few times around the block to find parking.

Claire was so helpful. Tucked away on a the neighborhood corner, it’s a local gem. Great dripped iced coffee — my preference is always for drip iced coffee instead of cold brew and I definitely don’t like watery iced Americanos — so this represents very happy place for me. if you go early enough, there’s a full array of delicious pastries. My little date had her choice of anything in the window and chose a cinnamon roll…that was the size of her face. It is clearly a happy place for her, also. Try their Apple Strudel and any of their Lemon or Rhubarb pastries.

Always enjoyed their dinner and decided to try the breakfast, and they didn’t disappoint! The barista was super nice, and we loved everything we ordered, especially the small pizza, for a reasonable price. The monkey bread from the pastry was also very flavorful! As important as the food—their garden is just lovely in the morning.

An absolutely delightful spot! The pizza crust is to die for and toppings are ample. Currently it’s $6 for a glass of wine, so that’s awesome. The espresso is delicious! The staff are super friendly and the space is great- don’t miss the garden in the back!!

This is our go to neighborhood cafe. The staff is great. The baked goods and coffee are top notch. They also sell and make drinks with Lighthouse Coffee which is my favorite Seattle roaster. If you live or are visiting do yourself a favor and stop in for a cup.

I rarely leave Google reviews, but I had to after visiting Pico Cafe today for the first time. The staff were SO incredibly friendly and warm. When I expressed to a staff member how lovely the space was, he even gave me a full tour of the entire restaurant! Lovely people, and my Americano was excellent to top it off.

The sandwiches and breakfast here are the best! All made with freshly baked bread - a much missed comfort since moving from abroad. It's also not too expensive which helps :)

From Houston and was out exploring Ballard and happened across the bakery in the mid morning. I was greeted by Emma and I explained that I was passing through, and she recommended the either the quiche or apple danish. So naturally I had both!! I was so impressed by the level of service and care that Emma provided, I had to leave this review. The food, the atmosphere, and the staff were absolutely amazing, I would highly recommend this place.

I decided to take the bus to Ballard for no reason in particular. I had been walking around for a few minutes before I realized that I had forgotten to eat before I left, and there's not that many places to eat between 24th ave and the water. I stumbled upon this cafe looking for a non-committal snack and was surprised to walk into a well-kept cafe with a huge pastry case and menu full of Italian dishes that I can't pronounce at all!
I asked about their flavors, and the barista pointed out the largest shelf full of assorted flavors that I've ever seen. After expressing my awe at this outwardly unassuming business and placing my order, the barista handed me a mug that intentionally matched my sweater and asked if I'd like to eat inside or in the garden.
Yes, there's a garden.
Ignoring the 50-degree weather, I wandered back into the garden not expecting much at all. I was so surprised to see a huge tent with a bar (what?) and tables, and a door leading out into a private garden (WHAT?) with more tables. I honestly couldn't believe my eyes; I had lived a few blocks away in Ballard for 2 years and had no clue that this hidden gem was here! The garden was so quiet and it wasn't busy at all for a Sunday morning- there were also a few heaters outside. I will freely admit to being easily pleased, but Pico exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff were so friendly and seemed genuinely glad to work there, the building itself is spotless and gorgeous and the garden is something out of a fairy tale. Oh, and the food was incredible too, but I came more for the vibe than anything else.

Cozy neighborhood café inside of Picolino’s restaurant. The coffee and pastries were very good. It’s definitely a favorite spot for locals in the neighborhood.

Two thumbs up Apfel Strudel, tasty Greek scramble, though seems like it should have a side of potatoes for the price, absolutely heavenly ambiance & decor! $20 incl tip. Delightful brunch in the sun on the street!

Amazing spot for coffee and pastries. The almond croissants are incredible. Super friendly service, too! I wish the breakfast sandwiches were available before 10:30am, but otherwise, this place is perfect.
