Super fun show that takes place inside the Tree of Life here at Animal Kingdom! Cool walk around the tree while getting to the show!

Talk about an oldie but goodie. We visited this experience about seven years ago but the youngest child didnt remember because he was a toddler. Fast forward and it was one of his favorites in the animal kingdom due to the 4D aspects. The wait times are shorter because a lot (seemed like 60-80) of people can view each show at once.

One of our favorites at Animal Kingdom. A wonderful interactive show that not only makes you look like a bug, but feel like one too! With all of the surprises throughout this show, you are sure to be surprised and squirm a little afterward! You will definitely feel how it is indeed tough to be a bug!

Fun show, a sit down, and interactive 3D experience, through the journey of the Bug’s Life film. One of the original rides at Animal Kingdom since it opened, I had the fortune to see this not long after it opened. The only bit of advice I would say is, it is quite apparent in 2023 how few people have seen A Bug’s Life. My kids love Disney and Pixar and have never seen it. My bad for not showing them. They’ll enjoy the experience but the Hopper section to young ones is just pure terror as they don’t get that he’s the film baddie, and that he will be defeated. Smaller kids don’t like that bit. But otherwise even if they don’t know the characters, it’s a fun experience so they’ll enjoy it regardless of not knowing the film characters.

fun for kids and adults. don’t sit too close to their 4d show or you will get cross eyed. at least 3rd row back for a good view.

Nice 3D show. Not for young kids. You get sprayed with a little bit of water that is called bug spray. Granddaughter was very upset by that. Many of the features are scary for kids 3 and under.

We loved this attraction. Located underneath/inside the iconic Tree of Life. It's Tough to be a Bug tells the story of how bugs "feel" about us humans, their importance and "what if" our roles would reversed. Combines 3D tech with animatronics. A great "get out of the sun and heat" attraction.

Buggy fun at Its Tough to be a Bug! Friendly Cast Members and a great show. How can you stop singing, “we’re pollinators”?

It’s a fun show with lots of little surprises. Also, a great spot to cool off during the fun show. There’s a lot going on inside the base of the Tree of Life.

It’s a must see during our visit to Animal Kingdom! A special thanks to cast member Alex, for making our visit special.

Cute show! May be creepy crawly for some, but not most. They do a great job making it kid (and wide) friendly.

It was a cool experience. The bugs spit on you and sting you. It doesn't hurt. It does get dark and some kids freaked out from the 3D animation video.

Located under this famous tree is the 3D theater It's tough to be a bug! Waiting in line is filled with many carvings and hidden animal and bug creations. Taking time to look for them was part of the fun. It made the experience great for the whole family! As you advance through the line everything around you becomes bigger and bigger giving you the feeling that you're shrinking into the size of a bug! It's pretty amazing! 😊

You’ll discover what it's like to be a bug during this Theme park's informative 3D & 4D insect film & show inside a huge tree viewed through bug glasses inspired by the Disney•Pixar movie, Bug's Life.

This fun show, provides a. interactive 3D experience that takes you through the events of the Bug's Life movie. I had the good opportunity to experience this shortly after it launched. It is one of Animal Kingdom's original rides. This is one of my favorites still in 2023. Moreover, even if most people or children today are unfamiliar with the characters, they set the scene within the show for you about who is friendly and who is the problem “HOPPER”

I was very impressed with this show, for it being an old one! It was full of surprises that made the adults jump and the kids scream. (Seriously though, some were truly terrified.) It was a fun, immersive experience without a terribly long wait. Plus, I enjoyed the closeup tour of the big tree in the park.

This is a very clever and well done show. Unfortunately, my 6 year old granddaughter had to leave in the middle becausr it was too scary for her.

Best part is the location of the show is under the tree of life and the path in line is very intricate artistic details in the root system. Cute fast moving 3 d film that stars a cricket looking bug who explains to humans that bugs out number humans I think 200,000 to one and that they are very helpful and they DON'T like being treated like pests with a fly swatter or bug spray. So they show us what it's like to be sprayed. Which is offensive... I hope the colored mist wasnt filled with carcinigous colorants?! Because we have to breath it in. Spoiler alert: At the end the cricket tells the humans that they should remain seated and alow the cockroaches and termites to leave first. Tapping footprints FELT under the seat... Cool and creepy.

Cute little movie/ride. My 5 yr old was a little scared, but not as in crying and wanting to leave. But the first minute did have a few younger kids crying and leaving. There's a little spray and mist, and the seats stay in place, but DO move (don't want to give away everything). It was a nice experience.

This show is fantastic. It's all in 3d and it's fun to see how close the bug 3d illusion can get to you eyes. It's sprays water and fog and air at you throughout the show to make the experience so much more real. They add in cool touches of bumps behind your back and under your seat to make it seem like a bug is crawling under you. It's a fun show that I was lucky enough to see 3 times while I was there . Definitely go see it.
