The Record Connection

The Record Connection is like walking into a time warp; I love this place!

I have found records from my grandparents and my parents timelines - late 1920s and up. Music I was exposed to by my much older brothers - the Summer of Love 1968+. And brand new vinyl - Taylor Swift - Midnights.

The owner is often there and plays whatever 45RPM records happen to be in the stack- I never know what I will be listening to while in there.

Record Connection also has a HUGE used book and clothing selection. I found the coolest pair of olive green short Converse sneakers barely worn for $20.

Give yourself time to just wander when you stop by, because it truly is a treasure hunt.

A TRUE local, "hometown" store that sells a wide range of music (vinyl, CD, even 8-track!), posters, DVDs, collectable toys, books and apparel. Incredibly great shopping experience!

New and vintage clothing, coats, shoes and more! A very wide selection of movies, cd's, records and more. Tapestries, posters. It's very well organized and it's all for a great price! The staff is very friendly, and I have lot of fun every time I'm there! Highly recommend you stop in!

I know what I like (80's Rock) and I know what intrigues me. This shop covers the spread, classics, blues, jazz, country, even the Spome Word. Give them a look. Prices are very reasonable too.

This place is amazing. Interesting collection, good prices, excellent organization, nice people. I go here for the vinyl but they have awesome clothes, used beer taps, books, cds, 8tracks, cassettes, and audio equipment. Go here if you are anywhere near Waterville.

Been shopping there my entire life. Now in a new location with a door on the concourse and on main st. Glad to see a family business in the space. Now they carry clothing, as well as continuing to have the best local vinyl collection around.

One of my favorite places EVERY! I love having this little record store not far from home because there’s always amazing finds! The main shop is filled with high quality used vinyl with a collection of new stuff as well! The upstairs is full of tons of books and $1 records so I always find something to leave there with!

Wonderful to have a great selection of used books and records for sale, not to mention they are very cheap. Relaxed atmosphere, a few chairs to sit in, read, and listen to the nice music being played. Only downside are the limited hours,but they aren't terrible.

I have been to record stores all across the country and none has ever compared to the greatness that is the Record Connection. The selection, the atmosphere, and the owner, Bob, all make it a one-of-a-kind experience.

If youre from central maine, you simply know how great the record connection is. This shop is truly an institution. Bob is such a great guy and is a walking encyclopedia of music. I have been visiting this place for years and hopefully many more to come! The best shop in Maine for used vinyl, hands down.
