I can’t say enough about this place. I purchased my XJI from here and it was the best decision I could have made. They have absolutely everything you could need, and are SO informative and friendly. Pierce and Jeff are true gurus that can solve anything.
When I was first shopping for a machine Pierce stayed pretty late showing me absolutely everything about these machines, without the guarantee of a sale. This place is not “money driven” (i.e. no sales sharks or shoving of anything down your throat), and as a repeat customer I truly appreciate them for that.
Anytime I have an issue (an operator issue, not the machines fault), I know I have a place to go that will have answers and solutions.
No knock off products either. I will always come here first instead of box stores.

I bought a brother machine from them 10 years ago. I have had it in before for cleaning and routine maintenance. This time it had been quite a few years and there were a few repairs that needed to be made. They did an excellent job and had it back to me in a week!

I've found that this is the best place for sewing equipment and notions in the area. I'm very happy they are now closer to my house. I have had repairs done and bought a new machine here. Pierce is the associate that usually helps me. He is very knowledgeable and is extremely patient with me. He even stayed later to assist me. They are never pushy with sales and are very reasonable with their prices. I would definitely recommend them.

Absolutely love this place. Hands down the best sewing center ever. Pierce who works there is absolutely incredible! So helpful, very knowledgeable and such a polite person. He has done so much for us and we highly recommend him and this location. We are always helped out when we come here, and never had any issues. We never went into a store and could have conversations like we do here. We will continue to be customers of this store for years to come. If you go here for anything, you will not be disappointed! So many things to choose from, from sewing machine sales and service, to supplies! You won’t find any selection like this place and the prices are lower than competitors. You just cannot beat this place and it is all around an incredible place to go.

Pierce walked me through a new sewing machine with the patience of a saint. He showed me, then had me try it (from start to finish) until I was comfortable using it. I would highly recommend the Home Sewing Center to everyone.

I'm in Reading and the 2 nearest authorized brother service centers are this one and Lancaster (so I'm pretty much in the middle). Was leaning towards Lancaster (cause fabric shops!!). Called the 2 locations and this one had a much faster turnaround time so I went here.

Service was excellent, turnaround time was shorter than what they had quoted. They were very friendly, offered great advise and even let me know i had a knee bar that I didn't know existed! (Came home and found it in my original box). This will definitely remain my go to shop for service and repairs. My machine works like new!

If honestly and loyalty are traits worn on ones sleeve, Pierce’s sleeves would be littered with them. He is a genuine man of great knowledge, who runs a professional establishment while treating the customer with the highest dignity. His staff is Kind and courteous, ready to guide you in the proper direction for any of your crafting wants or needs. I always feel like family when I stop in to restock or even to say hello. The services and maintenance are not only top notch but affordable, and the goods are of great quality; typical priced lower than anyone. Pierce has saved me a pretty penny on everything, from our 6 needle Brother embroidery machine with the stand, the hat driver system, fast frames, and a ton of extras(still can’t believe the price), unbeatable quality Japanese thread, bobbins, needles, etc. And he even helped me with a massive amount of peg hooks for our custom made large thread rack(FYI, no one sells racks for large thread). Again, if honestly and loyalty is what you seek, look no further then Pierce and his wonderful staff!

Absolutely my go to place to buy my machines. I just made my second purchase last weekend. They gave me not only a good deal but Pierce made sure I new how to run the machine. I love this place and I trust this place. You won't be disappointed.

My experience at the Home Sewing Center in Allentown was awesome and continues to be great. Pierce and his team are friendly and knowledgeable. They offered me a great price and customer service. The instructions and service after the sale are fantastic as well. They value their customers and care about future concerns.

I bought a Brother Project Runway machine at the center several years ago. Had a demo lesson at purchase time that was very helpful. Have been using succesfully and took a few other workshops at the center which were also excellent and very personalized to your project. Have been making masks during this pandemic and my bobbin thread was getting very messed up. I took out my manual and did several things that were recommended in the trouble shooting guide...helped but did not solve the problem. In my frustration I thought about the center for possible help. Even though they are closed, my message was answered later the same day with one more strategy to correct the problem so i could continue my work. It was the right answer!
I am so appreciative if that personal response to a customer and it made me so glad that I had bought my machine from this small business instead of online or from a big box store! I would highly recommend the Home Sewing Center! Thank you.

Pierce goes above and beyond in servicing and customer service. He helped me with a machine I did not purchase from him. He is great and the shop gives you great deals. Worth the trip from Boyertown to Allentown and he is my new go-to place for sewing.

This is a wonderful sewing/embroidery center. Pierce, Jeff and Melody
truly know the machines and are consistently generous with instruction and tips not just when you buy the machine but thereafter- They are there always with support for you- will talk you through questions while you are at home working at machine screen- Pierce will talk you through the answer to your question so you don't need to stop the project to drive to the store for the answer. He may need to call you back if he is with a customer but he always does get back to you to answer your question.
This is simply the very best sewing store I know about.
