Bru House Coffee Shop & Drive Thru

Came here for the first time today, and I loved it. The staff is very friendly. The place is clean, organized and very nice on the inside. I ordered a mocha coffee, and it was great. I love how they use ghiradelli chocolate! I would love to come back. The prices are pretty good compared to competitors.

It’s great to have an independent local coffee shop! I’m so happy they “survived” the last years where so many businesses went under. It’s a cozy atmosphere and always is full of conversation. Nice, friendly employees. The menu looks delicious, but I can’t comment on the food as I’ve only gotten beverage's. I also love this place as it was a meet up for my boyfriend ( now husband) and myself several years ago. I’m happy to support a locally owned small business ♥

i loved this coffee house so much! the staff was super nice, and they gave great recommendations. i came here with my sister, and we got two sandwiches and two lattes. my favorite sandwich was the turkey sandwich on cranberry bread, and my favorite drink was the peppermint mocha latte. the atmosphere was super cozy, and it was a great place to study/read. overall, i really liked this place, and i can’t wait to come again!

Bru House was exactly what I needed when I visited on Sunday. I went around 11:30 and there was ample indoor and outdoor seating available. Both the food and drink menu are vast, but I opted for a standard mocha and it was delicious! I love the open mouth tops of the container as well. The two women working were both a delight. Also the croissant sausage sandwich was awesome - would 10/10 recommend getting the onions, tomatoes, and peppers in it as well. Very filling and yummy!

3/9/24: I’m leaving another/updated review because I love the Bru House so much! They’re only 5 minutes from my house and the best coffee shop in the area! One of the best aspects is the drive thru which is rare for a local coffee shop. I recently stopped by on Friday morning to treat myself to breakfast and coffee and it was so good! I got a white mocha which was absolutely delicious and perfect in every way - not overly sweet and the espresso was perfect. I got a breakfast sandwich without meat and added all the veggies and it was scrumptious! I also got an apple cinnamon scone which was also delicious! It was fluffy and more cake-like than biscuity/crumbly. As always, the employees were very friendly!

I love Bru House! The drive thru is super convenient and fast. Their coffee and food are really good!! I got a sugar free vanilla latte which was good. The scones were amazing—fresh and soft. I also got a veggie frittata and it was so good. Also, the two employees I interacted with were so friendly.

Pumpkin white mocha was amazing!
The breakfast sandwich was good, I got the croissant but it was more like a canned biscuit so that was disappointing as I was hoping for an actual croissant. But it tasted fine.

Bru was wildly busy this morning, and somehow (I don’t know how) the staff kept it all together, dealing with the crowd efficiently and pleasantly. They even handled the folks who skipped the line, sat down at the counter and seemed to think this was a sit down restaurant. As usual, the coffee was great and the croissant sandwich truly addictive. Kudos to the staff.

A nice cozy coffee joint that offers brunch-y stuff on Sundays instead of their regular lunch menu. Pretty reasonable portions, and well-crafted drinks.

Been coming to Bru House for 20 years. In high school we’d get Italian sodas. The bakery & lunch items are amazing. Best chicken wild rice soup. Best Rice Krispie bars. I wish they were open later, especially on weekends, but they’re a small business so I can appreciate the decision. Feel lucky to have them in the neighborhood.

Wonderful little coffee shop that we visited. The breakfast croissant sandwich is amazing. You can get added veggies on it as well. Love the coffee drinks as well. We got frappes (blended coffee drink), lemonade, the breakfast croissant sandwiches, and a cookie. Friendly staff and the food is just amazing.

A good coffee shop in the middle of a coffee shop desert. Not a lotta local coffee shops up this way. Have gone to BH for many years and is a good place for food and coffee.

Great coffee, great staff! Baked goods were so fresh and delicious. Plenty of seating inside, and a few tables outside. They do have a drive thru, but did not test out. Plenty of parking. Go local, give them a try for your coffee fix!

Been on a Starbucks boycott so it's given me the chance to try out some new local coffee stops. I went here and got a chai latte and a half sandwich and soup. The chai latte was average (I hold chais to a very high regard) but the food was EXCELLENT! I had the chicken salad sandwich and the chicken and wild rice soup and OMG so good! The sandwich tasted incredibly fresh, especially the tomatoes, which is difficult to accomplish in a Minnesota winter haha

The staff was super friendly but I felt for them a bit when I was there. There was a pair of elderly ladies who were frankly really sassy to the barista and as a former waitress myself I know how small interactions like that can just like crash a whole day unfortunately. I hope she was able to brush it off because the food and her service really were excellent. Will definitely be back for lunch!

I come here all the time as it is close to my house. Their turkey provolone on cranberry wheat is the perfect sandwich! I crave this on the regular! Also their dirty chai latte with almond milk is spot on! They have a younger staff and all the workers I have encountered are super pleasant to deal with! Always a wonderful experience!

I haven't been yet but it looks wonderful and I'm leaving this review to remind myself to go if I'm ever in the state. Keep on keeping on, coffee champs

This is a great place to grab some coffee and lunch. Coffee was great. Lunch soup and sandwich combo was very generous. Staff were friendly and helpful. And the space itself was clean and relaxing. Definitely will be back!

Always friendly service and great products…… my Turkey sandwich was delicious. Latte was the perfect temperature for me woop 🙌🏼 woop 🙌🏼

This is such a sweet coffee shop. They have great parking and plenty of seating. Always check for specials! Plus, a drive thru.

My favorite coffee shop in Minnesota.

Great tasting latte's and mocha's. I prefer their coffee over Caribou and Starbucks. If you're staying in, then order it in a glass mug. The coffee tastes so much better that way.

During the summer months they have freshly squeezed lemonade, limited outdoor seating and other drinks to order.

Their breakfast selections include eggs, bacon, tortillas and bagels.

Their lunch menu is soup and sandwiches. I've never had meal there I didn't like. The food here is fresh and full of flavor (nothing is pre-prepared). They will bring the food out to your table also (your coffee too if it isn't too busy).

Get a table early if you're meeting someone around 9 am or for lunch - they fill up. Afternoons are generally less busy.

Plenty of parking, reliable wifi and friendly staff.

Glad I came to Bru instead of Starbucks. The noise level is like night and day. I can hear myself think. I can leisurely enjoy my breakfast. I can actually read or study. I can have a conversation with someone without shouting. I can start my day without the harried frenzy that greets me whenever I open the door at Starbucks. It's like an oasis of calm at Bru.

The bacon frittata was delicious as was the spiced apple cider. 10/10 recommend.
