Such a cute cafe and bakery. Very busy but the wait was less than 10 minutes. Definitely worth the wait. Have alot of bakery items and fresh bagels and sandwiches. Will definitely be back. Friendly staff and atmosphere too!!

The food here was great! I and a family member got egg sandwiches.

The sourdough was some of the best bread I've ever had. Super puffy and wispy, while still holding together in a sandwich. 10/10 sandwich. Seriously amazing.

The other sandwich we got was an egg sandwich with gluten free bread. Unfortunately, the gluten free bread was quite dense and a bit undertoasted. But the stuff inside the sandwich was still pretty good. My family member ended up eating their gluten free sandwich with just one slice of that dense bread, instead of eating both.

The building has a public restroom, very clean.

The atmosphere was nice. A bunch of seating, and there were a lot of people inside eating and ordering. The eating area isn't a very large room, all the tables are pretty close to each other.

There were many options for food. Lots of different breads, danishes, and pastries, and some gluten free options too. And they had Maine Root soda products, which are always great.

Food came out quickly, and the staff were nice to talk with.

We were looking for coffee and stumbled upon this place by accident. We went in around 2 pm and the place was completely packed and they had run out of bagels and bread but we managed to get the last pieces of gluten bread for a hummus sandwich. They also sell bakery items. The coffee and sandwich were really good. We will definitely come back if we’re in the area.

We stopped by Gemini Cafe & Bakery for breakfast our last day in the area and I only wish we had found it sooner! What an incredible place! We went right when they opened and there was already a line out the door, they seem to have everything streamlined nicely so we weren't waiting terribly long but it was so beyond worth the wait anyway! My husband and I shared several menu items and everything was SO good! The staff were all so sweet and helpful and it seems they attract equally wonderful patrons as it was just such a wholesome experience all around. It was refreshing to see such a sense of community, we pulled up the site while waiting for our food and enjoyed reading their origin story as well! They're located in a very walkable area but do have a parking lot on site as well as street parking! There was indoor and outdoor seating available. As I mentioned there was a line just after opening but it moved steadily and once we ordered everything was ready impressively quickly. We originally planned to grab drinks for the drive home but once inside decided to dine in! The seating did feel a bit cramped in areas but I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable. I think they have things perfectly set up for the space they have and it's probably much less cramped when it's less busy! I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area, I know we can't wait to go back if we ever are!

Lovely small cafe with fresh baked bagels, pastries, and breads. Drank the best mocha I've had in years alongside a sandwich on a unique cheddar black pepper bagel. Loved it so much we got a dozen bagels to go. They serve all their dine-in food and drink in what appears to be cute handmade ceramics. 100% worth a stop.

Fantastic new neighborhood, modern cafe’. Love that they use organic King Arthur’s flour for those that are glyphosate intolerant. Thank you. Great variety of baked goods including a few gluten free options. Their cold brew was delicious!

The most incredible baked goods I've ever had. We were here for vacation and were upset about the lack of food options until we found this bakery. We were blown away. Please eat here!!!! I live 3 hours away and I want to make the drive just to be able to stock up because they were THAT good!

WOW! The ham and cheese croissant was so flavorful and delicious! Perfect crunchy outside and soft flaky inside. Buttery goodness cut by the sharpness of the ham and cheddar. YUM! The mocha latte was creamy and also sooo yummy! It was very cool to see the bakers actually making the dough and baking the loaves in their giant oven. Plus the customer service was amazing - very kind and super fast. We were in and out in 15 min with full bellies ready to make first chair (it is also super close to Sunday River!) Love this place and will definitely be back!

Stopped in for coffee and some snacks. While it's a small space, the place was mobbed and the line was to the door. The folks were very nice and helpful. The coffee was good and hot. Love that they had water glasses right at the counter. There were no tables, so we sat outside on the patio (a little cold but glad to have a seat). The New Yorker (Lox, tomatoes, capers, cream cheese, onion) was a very nice sandwich. They only had Gluten Free rolls left, but it was still a great sandwich. I had the pizza bread with lettuce, tomato and bacon with a great dressing. It was outstanding. We also got an eclair, and the cherry almond pastry. I was told they were both excellent, with the cherry almond pastry being "the best pastry I have ever had." I can't confirm this, because by the time I got back, it was all gone!

We will be stopping by again tomorrow!

I'm so happy to have this bakery in town! I love the baked goods, I bought a walnut thyme bread and it blew my mind! The drinks are perfect, really good atmosphere, nice staff! I highly recommend and I will definitely be back every time I'm in town.

What a fantastic place, just what Bethel needed (and what every main street needs) - a wide assortment of delicious, fresh pastries, e.g. frangipane croissant, pomegranate glazed scones, bagels in various flavours, bread, brunch/lunch menu items and delicious coffee (including the largest flat whites I've ever experienced). Reminiscent of our popular local Italian style bakery here in East London.

Great bakery with some amazing breakfast sandwiches. Great drinks too, our kids were blown away by the iced mocha.

Very busy on the weekend, or at least was when we went twice!, but absolutely worth waiting in line and for the food.

Very good croissants, bagels, and excellent sourdough. Now they make challah.

Tortes and pastries are wonderful.

Can't recommend Gemini more. Best thing to happen in Bethel in years.

Absolutely delicious! We heard about Gemini from the place we went to dinner called Mountain Social. Our bruschetta was so good, so we asked about the bread. The 2 days we were in Bethel we went to Gemini for breakfast. Amazing cinnamon buns, almond croissants, and hot chocolate. A definite place to visit if up by Sunday River.

Very cool space with delicious treats! Cold brew coffee is PERFECTLY done!
Love the design of the space- only drawback is that on a rainy, busy day- it is a bit crowded inside even when just waiting for order. Will be back for sure!

Ah, the Gemini Cafe in Bethel, Maine – it's a cozy spot that's become a bit of a local staple. Walking in, you're greeted by an atmosphere that's casual and comfortable, with a decor that blends rustic charm with a few modern touches. It's pretty much what you'd hope for in a small-town cafe. The coffee? Solid. They've got a decent selection that'll satisfy most coffee lovers, from your straightforward black coffee to more elaborate concoctions. And while the baristas might not be pulling off latte art that'll go viral on Instagram, they're friendly and get your order right, which is what really matters at the end of the day.Food-wise, the pastries are a highlight. Not exactly groundbreaking, but reliably good – think classic cinnamon rolls and muffins that hit the spot, especially on those brisk Maine mornings. The menu isn't vast, but it's got enough variety to keep you coming back to try something new or stick with your usual. What makes Gemini Cafe really stand out, though, isn't just the food or drink, but the sense of community. It's the kind of place where you'll run into neighbors and catch up on local happenings. The vibe is laid-back, making it a nice little retreat whether you're looking to kickstart your morning or unwind in the afternoon. So, if you're in Bethel and in need of a coffee fix or just a place to chill for a bit, Gemini Cafe is worth checking out. It might not be the fanciest place around, but it's got heart, and sometimes, that's just what you need.

Everyone is right, this place does almost everything well. I only wished the plain croissants were a little more well done. The plain ones were slightly undercooked the few days we were in town, but the almond ones were heavenly. I'd nock off a 1/4 of a star fit that. But the chocolate tahini bar is a must.

We were on a family ski trip last week to Sunday River. Rented a house in Bethel. I saw this bakery on youtube while doing research and it didnt disappoint. We had sandwiches one day for lunch and they were fantastic. Went back on Saturday afternoon to get fresh bread and deserts for our pasta night at the house. Everyone in the house LOVED it! Highly recommend this place.
