River View Resort

This hotel is awesome. Plenty of space in the two bedroom apartment. The kitchen was fully equipped. The sofas and beds were comfortable, and it was really quite. The balcony has a beautiful view of the mountains and river. The pool, hot tub and sauna were fantastic and the staff were friendly. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Sunday River which was just a few minutes away. Anyone that rates this place less than a 4 should be questioned. Mahalo 🤙🏼

Room furniture and appliances are a little dated but very good quality and kept clean and operational. Front desk staff is a bit passive. Housekeeping and maintenance staff are great!! All rooms are nonsmoking but smokers sometimes ruin your front deck sunset or back balcony experience. Maybe should be separated somehow.

Beautiful location, good sized indoor pool. Hot tub.

We stayed here for a week while on vacation in Maine and I slept like a baby every night. It was a nice "home base" for the week. Fairly close to most of the stuff we wanted to do, so the location was really convenient. We had no issues during our stay, and the area is pretty. If you're lucky, you might even see a moose!

Was surprised when we arrived with our two kiddos and was given a full 2 bedroom apartment for the night. The motel is older but everything was very clean and we'll stocked.

What a great place. We kept to our room, or should I say little 2 bedroom apartment. It was Great! A full kitchen and livingroom. One bedroom had a queen bed the other two twin beds. Absolutely perfect for our group. It's so great for everyone to have their own space. We were on the second floor. A great balcony with seating. The woman at the desk was so charming. Very happy and sweet. In the morning as we were going to checkout, she was coming out to meet us. Took the keys and welcomed us back again. I think we are going to take her up on that offer 😊

Nice people, great location, clean rooms. You should stay here. Especially if you are going to Sunday River. We had a 2 bedroom unit with a kitchen. Perfect for prep before and after skiing. It's a couple of minutes to "downtown" Bethel and 7 minutes to Sunday River.

Clean, comfortable, and accommodating. The owners and staff are wonderful. The suites include a refrigerator and kitchenette, with adequate utensils, dishes, bowls, pots and pans. That is a great perk if you want to shop and make meals at the room, instead of spending a lot of money eating out. The property is spacious. There's plenty of room for kids to get outside and play. I've been there several times, and I can say that other people staying there are very kind and respectful to others. Maybe it's the view, or possibly the inviting atmosphere you get when you check in. I can't describe all of why I love this place so much, but I know that I'll be back with my family again very soon.

Will definitely be returning for a repeat stay! It's a short 4 mile drive to Sunday River for skiing. River View Resort also offers a free transport bus to bring you there and back. The only negative, which really isn't, is that the decor is dated. I'm extremely picky about cleanliness and our suite was impeccably clean. There was some dust on the ceiling light fixtures, but the inside of the refrigerator was gleaming...not even one tiny crumb...that said a lot! The towels felt high-end, soft but no lint. The indoor heated pool was sparkling clean as well. Last but not least, all the staff members we interacted with were sweet and positive.
One suggestion is to call and book directly with them. We noticed from our check-in receipt that the online travel site we used had tacked on a significant (hidden) fee.

This place is absolutely delightful. We had a 2 bedroom unit with a kitchenette.. I could have totally lived there. The layout was so good and comfortable, and the place was perfectly clean.. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking and table ware. Our first night was a little dramatic - after we checked in,, we went for a little exploration drive.. We broke down 4.7 miles from the motel (Jeep with a broken tie rod end). As AAA members, we were sent a tow truck. The dispatcher and the driver told us that they wouldn't allow anyone in the tow truck with the driver. What? We were 4.7 miles from the motel, and it was getting dark. There's no taxi or Uber out there (which is absolutely awesome; we were so happy to be so far away from everything). Desperate, I called the motel to ask if they knew of a car service. She said there wasn't anything around, but her husband could come get us. It was unbelievably generous. He showed up and brought us back. And he was wonderful to visit with. Overall one of the most pleasant motel experiences I've had. Thank you!!

Been here before, place is clean and comfortable. Very helpful staff and owners. Place needs some cosmetic work outside especially the back decks but otherwise no issues. Oh, one small thing. The numbers on each unit are barely visible as they are so tiny you cannot see them even from a few feet away. Quick fix.

My family stays at River View almost every year, and although this year there's a disappointing lack of snow, the resort is great as usual. We have 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a large kitchen/living/dining area with a fold out couch, meaning there's space to sleep 6 easily. Even if you don't spend the whole day skiing, there's plenty to do. The lobby staff is helpful, and there are buses that run to the town and to the mountain with stops along the way. There's a really nice river out back which is nice to walk along in the summer, and nice to look at from the warm indoors in the winter. There's a small arcade with pool tables, and the lobby has a selection of board games. There's also a swimming pool, hot tub, and small sauna. Recently they've introduced maid service during the start - they made my bed and took out the trash when we were out for the day. The only thing you might not like is that the room opens straight to the outside, but personally I'm a fan of sprinting to the pool wearing only my bathing suit in freezing weather. We've always had a nice stay here.

Loved staying here it was like an apartment, quiet plenty of parking and hot water!

Love staying here on my yearly ski trip to Sunday River. Mountain is less than a 5 minute drive up the road and there is a shuttle service every hour if you don't want to drive. They provide coin operated laundry (shared) and pool/jacuzzi/sauna. The rooms have plenty of space, fully furnished kitchen and can comfortably sleep 5. There is also a Walgreens and grocery close by with a number of restaurants within 10 minutes driving time.

The resort has excellent sized rooms. There is a main bedroom with a queen and a side room with two twin beds. It was perfect for me, my wife, her mother and our two children.

I only used the pool and hot tub so don't know about the rooms.

Rooms were huge, had a master suite, room for kids, pullout couch, kitchen area and dining area. Wish I had taken pictures to share but we will definitely stay there again.

Good accommodations. Kitchenette. Two bedrooms, cut and fold out couch allow for a lot of people in one room. Management is very nice as well!
