Café Intermezzo - Nashville

My first trip to Nashville started on a delicious note because of this restaurant! Everything on the menu is delicious; the croissant and scrambled eggs specifically were amazing. Our dine in experience was made even better by our waiter Michael. Michael was absolutely fantastic, had great energy and recommended good dishes to try. If you’re in the downtown Nashville area I highly recommend!

Michael was our server and did such an amazing job. So sweet and made sure we were happy with what we got. Every flavor of everything was beyond perfect and savory. He deserves only the best tippers and tables 10/10 ( the bathroom also gives you language lessons so that’s fun)

I am a critical eater and frequent home cook. Cafe Intermezzo blew passed my high standards. Everything down to the coffee was perfect. Not to mention the restaurant has a fantastic interior. You will not find another breakfast of similar quality in this price range.

Dined at this delightful cafe while visiting Nashville. From entering, to being seated, to leaving, I felt welcomed. The atmosphere was relaxing, and I felt very spoiled. My server Michael was excellent; proficient and kind. The food was luxurious, so delicious! The coffee was amazing. I tried the cafe latte intermezzo and even purchased a cup of the house coffee to go; outstanding!
Highly recommend. I hope to return before we have to leave Nashville.

The host/greeter Sebastian was simply amazing and personable. He was the greeter this visit but shared that he was also a server and I would definitely request him based on the excellence of his service as a host. Our actual server Chris was great as well. Food was awesome

Very cute place. I stopped in for a turkish coffee and hazelnut cake before returning home from a work trip. Sweet bartender waitress. Would recommend for a meal, drink, or snack. She mentioned a lot of people pop in for a drink after the Symphony, which is walkable from there.

I have been in Nashville for the last 6 days and the food was getting a bit monotonous. This cafe was just what I needed for refreshing my palate.
The chicken and the dressing made the sandwich delicious. And so was the salad as well. Their hot chocolate, super rich!
Loved the place, will be definitely on my list going forward!

It is a beautiful and lovely place! I was missing the traditional Cappuccino Italian coffee, until I found this place. You can enjoy very good food as well. European decoration, classic music and the service is Awesome. 100% recommend

What an absolutely incredible place! The most delicious coffee ☕ in Nashville without a doubt! Their lattes are some of the best! We’ve been to the location in Alpharetta, Georgia before and it tasted just as good 😊 The one in Nashville feels much bigger inside! But the same amazing interior - the way the bar is decorated with an old school Italian steam espresso machine, the bronze tiles on the ceiling and beautiful chandeliers! The menu is excellent, whichever food item you decide to order! Their tomato soup is a good place to start with! Savory seafood crepes and French croissants 🥐 so as Roast-beef sandwiches were delicious 😋 and their selection of cakes 🍰 is amazing! We’ve had the bosco berry cake and the almond cake and both were incredibly tasty with a cup of classic latte, which is strong and flavorful! Overall food is amazing, coffee is great, interior is cozy and service is nice and friendly! Loved it and will be coming back for more!

First of all, I am from Colombia and my family grows coffee, I have a great palate for coffee, I must say that I tried their cafe intermezzo , it is strong, and with a delicious flavor and smell. This place is highly recommended, I am in love with the coffee and the food.

We loved our iced coffee and the seafood dip was delicious!

If you live close to these metro stops, you can take bus 6, 52, 55, 64, 90, 93, or the Star train to get to Cafe Intermezzo and avoid parking.

Probably the most delicious tiramisu i’ve ever tasted! It’s imported from Italy 🇮🇹 and they know a thing or two about how to make it ! as to the lattes, the regular latte was my favorite! it’s just perfect and the latte art looks lovely! Poached eggs 🥚 were finger licking delicious and the avocado 🥑 toast with tomatoes was probably the best avocado toast i’ve had in a while! Absolutely fantastic place!

Loved everything about this restaurant- the ambience, the service, the food, the dessert, and the coffee! Cannot recommend it enough especially for special occasions because the food is quite rich lol. Lastly I read so much about their frutti de bosco in other reviews and can confirm it was fantastic. As for the food, I was told by my company the chicken tortellini was great. My seafood crepe was phenomenal. The spinach and artichoke dip was fresh, deliciously silky and did not seem like it was full of filler ingredients. All in all, a wonderful experience. Cannot wait to come back!

A little gem in Nashville! We came here two mornings in a row because it was so wonderful. I have Celiac disease which can make dining out challenging. Cross contamination is a concern. Cafe Intermezzo was more than happy to answer my questions about gluten free menu items and even volunteered how seriously they take preparation without me asking. The omelettes were amazing and the gluten free apple crumb cheesecake was a highlight of my trip! We thoroughly enjoyed their house coffee and they didn’t rush us when we lingered for an hour or two to read our books & drink our coffee. Special shout-out to Sammy/Sami the barista - she was so friendly, remembered guests’ names as they came in, and expertly handled training a newer employee while serving us. We loved this place!

We were looking for brunch when we first arrived in Nashville and this place was across the street from our hotel! Our server was super nice and friendly and the food was so so good. Caramel cappuccino was excellent.

I had the smoked salmon Benedict with potatoes and my husband had the egg and bacon croissant with potatoes. They were both delicious. Potatoes were so good, I didn't even need the ketchup I had asked for.
They did ask if you wanted strawberries or potatoes so the more health conscious can make a lower calorie choice, which is nice :)

We stopped in for some coffee yesterday and were really impressed. The caramel latte was fantastic and the tiramisu was the best I've ever had. The restaurant was beautiful and we're definitely going to come back next time we are in Nashville.

So glad I came here! My last day in Nashville and I spotted this gem! The eggs benedict was out of this world. The aroma from the rosemary potatoes tickles your taste buds as you indulge in the meal. And the hot chocolate IS something to write home about!

It was a beautiful, cozy, European cafe with delicious food, rich coffee/chocolate drinks, and a wonderful ambiance. I actually ordered avocado toast (so American lol) because that’s what I was in the mood for but there was so much depth in the flavors from the richness of the creamy garlic spread to the freshness of the lemon juice in the avocado tied together with the egg. It was excellent. I also got the coffee mixed with chocolate and it was delicious and rich. Real coffee, real chocolate, beautiful presentation. We had mango coconut crepes for desserts and that was great as well.

The cafe plays classical music which adds to the ambiance while language lessons are played in the bathrooms which was an interesting experience haha.

We came right when they opened at 9 am on a Sunday. They don’t serve alcohol before 10am (not sure if just a Sunday thing) and they get really busy around 10:30. I highly recommend this place if you are in Nashville!

I had one of the most incredible breakfasts ever at this Italian restaurant! The European Italian food here in the US is simply amazing. The service is exceptional, and the atmosphere immerses you in Europe. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. This place is an absolute must-visit!
