Blick Art Materials

Store has just about everything. Recent started doing colored pencil drawings. Went there for some specific supplies. They had everything and then some so much in fact, I was a bit overwhelmed. Finally got what I needed though. Staff friendly and helpful. Place was pretty busy (Saturday afternoon). Street parking in neighborhood only. Definitely a place for all your art supplies.

Much better parking than their old location. Very helpful personnel, answered a lot of questions for me. A great selection of art supplies crammed into a smaller place.

If you need any custom framing done ask for Lorena! The process of choosing from hundreds of colors for mat borders, and the endless selection of custom frames to choose from would typically be stressful and overwhelming, but she made it both fun and seamless (there were literally 60-100 different shades of each color). Lorena gave me the freedom to choose whatever I thought worked best while also offering her expert opinion and ideas for the 8 prints that I had done, and that was very much appreciated.

During the process of selecting frames, the one I chose were on back order because they had sold out. Lorena clearly and effectively expressed to me that it would take a little longer for them to arrive, and communicated the entire process to me so I never felt out of the loop. All my art is up in my apartment, and she took something that already looked great, to something that looks like it belongs in a museum.

You can believe that I will comeback to Blick on Berkeley strictly for her help and expertise. Thanks Lorena!

A blackhole for artists! I can spend hours and here just browsing through their wide selection of art supplies. I took their Resin Geode class and it was so much fun! They were very generous with the supplies that were needed for the project. Very helpful Ann's friendly staff.

This store is like a candy shop for me, and the people who work here are super friendly.

Great selection of art materials covering all common 2D art, and some of the smaller 3D arts. Helpful staff, with student discounts. Lots of pens, pencils, and paints, plus tons of pads and canvases. Fun gifts and supplies for young kids too. It's always inspiring to visit. Their new location on 10th is as good as its old location.

If you are looking for art supplies this is the place, even if you are a beginner or professional, and best part decent pricing even better than Amazon on Most items and they have some sales from time to time, if you are looking for individual color pencils, you can test them on site to feel the texture or blend them with other colors or brands

This is a well organized art supply store (and other fun stuff) with friendly and knowledgeable staff. I’ve always bought my design drafting supplies from Blick but now I’m exploring drawing for pleasure and it’s been great to shop here.

I came here to buy supplies for art school recently and while I couldn't find everything (out of stock since I'm late to the game), I had a great experience. It was my first time here and the staff were amazing, very patient with me while trying to get through a long list of items I needed. There are also very helpful labels in each aisle that say what that aisle is related to (drawing, sculpture, inking...). There were a few items that they had out of stock or were only sold online and the person helping me also ordered those items for me and was very helpful in doing so.

Great and Super Fun Store to browse through and shop at! Really nice and helpful staff too. I had to return a few items and they were very nice about it. No attitude at all. Just really nice and helpful as if I were purchasing, not returning items. I really aprpeicated this! Then after that I went shopping throughout the store, taking my time and they don't push you or do any of that hard sell tactics. They're just GREAT! Really LOVE Blick's!

I always enjoy going into Blick Art Supply in Berkeley. It is filled and well stocked with potentials for my artistic impulses and brings back memories of art School.
But more importantly, are the friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always ready to help.
Not only do they know where items are in the store, but they may also generously offer creative solutions. Recently, a staff member whose name is Lisa, gave me some insightful suggestions for my project .... With very successful results!

The workers are very informative. Terry was able to show me everything I needed for my project. She was very professional, and I will return shop there and hopefully she'll be there to help me.

I had never been to this store as its an hour away but I was in search of Christmas gifts for my husband and his new lino-print hobby. I was pretty clueless as to what he might like/need. Their customer service is amazing. Noah didn't just walk me to the right section but went over different items and took me throughout the store pointing out items that my husband would like. My husband was so happy Christmas morning with the gifts I had bought from Blick. I will definitely be back!

Great place. Very friendly staff. I love the selection of art supplies they have very high quality and not pricey at all.

I’ve only been here twice, but I am blown away by the professionalism and expertise of the people that work here. The Berkeley store isn’t as large as the Blick in SF on Market, but you can always check online if you’re looking for something specific. Their website is clunky but has always been accurate about showing what items are in stock and whether or not a specific location carries an item.

The Berkeley Blick is about 20 minutes further than other Blick stores for me, but I plan to visit this location more often just because the people are so nice! Plus, it’s always easy to find parking.

Everything is neatly organized, and they've got helpful directional stickers for the aisles and the checkout to keep things flowing smoothly even with all the craziness happening. All staff I interacted with were also very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be coming back!

Very nice store with plenty of supplies. The automated matching of online prices is definitely helpful and made me feel like I wasn't being entirely ripped off. If they advertise that a bit better in the store, it may encourage people to look past the price on the tag, which is sometimes double what it comes to at the register. Overall, very satisfied. This will likely be an every few week visit after flying in to Oakland

The new location is pleasant. Seems smaller than before but it's in a nice neighborhood & has all the great stuff that makes Blick a terrific art store. There's metered street parking but customers can use lot for Office Depot next door. Staff friendly & knowledgeable. Love it!

I love this store, always well stocked and so many different art supplies! They're practicing covid safe procedures in store, and have online order pick up available if you don't want to go in. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and I've always had good experiences here for all the years I've shopped here. Yay for Blick's!
