This is a wonderful and well-loved Starbucks. It's on the corner of a block with two schools - San Mateo Adult and Career Education and San Mateo High School - plus the SMUHSD District Office plus Woodlake Condominiums - plus one block from an Elementary School. It's in the same shopping center as Safeway and CVS.
If you hit it at a busy time - before and after school - yes, it will be busier and you may have to wait longer!
It's a small but mighty Starbucks with a fantastic manager. Aimee really knows her way around customer service!

😂‼Thanks for waking me up! lol we got into the airport really late last night, and I needed a pick me up this morning. My go to is always Starbucks! And the Starbucks didn’t disappoint. PS get the nitro cold brew! 🤗

This Starbucks has the nicest staff. They often have wonderful energy and are so nice it could make you cry and save your difficult day - and their workload is intense! I would credit this place for keeping the nearby high school and district office running not only for its coffee and food but their absolutely wonderful employees.

I was in town for a family emergency, going through a lot emotionally. I had business to tend to for 8 days in San Mateo. Came into this location every morning. Within 3 days Rebecca knew my name and treated me as if I was a long term customer. It actually helped me with what I was going through, and she brightened up my morning every day till I had to go back home. TY sweety!

The staff is pleasant and helpful. I especially want to acknowledge the manager (Frankie or Freddie), for his exceptional customer service and for his demonstration of the personal French press which led me to buy it. What a nice experience.

Had Iced Dragon fruit drink🍷. It was amazing and I loved it. Overall who made it was very nice staff ☺. Actually she made it with her heart ❤. Thank you so much.

Came here always for my favorite venti hot americano before working out at equinox! The staff was pleasant, kind and engaging. I recommend this team for your favorite Starbucks drink!

Great place, and the staff was really friendly! Just make sure that you don’t go here when school lets out or you’ll be faced with an entire high school waiting in line.

Great customer service. Can be a bit expensive, 5.25 dollars for a venti coffee, more if you add on to it. The best drink at the moment is a venti salted caramel mocha frappuccino; I highly suggest this drink.

Got two drinks and both were made correctly even though it was super busy (not surprising for a Sunday). Staff was friendly and helpful. Has outlets and Wi-Fi.

Nice. If I were you I'd order online because the line inside takes a while to process. Good place to study or hang out.
