I bought rain boots and I love it and I have to shop again because they got cute outfits

Such a great experience selling here today! The girls working were so nice, it was actually my first time bringing clothes into Plato’s and I will definitely be back! They kindly explained some things were too old of styles to take but took some also and I made some money!

I always loved Plato’s in Algonquin. They are always so sweet, happy to work and overall create such a wonderful environment. I do, however, find it just a little odd when I try to seller newer items and they won’t take but see something a lot older looking on the racks but that’s alright! Getting rid of them anyways!

I was just there (3/30/22) and I came in just 10 minutes after 8. Although the time to sell clothes stops right at 8, the girl who helped me was so sweet and took me anyways. I forgot her name but she had long dark hair and definitely deserves the world! Thank you!!

I only come to this Plato’s even though it’s a drive. Everyone is always so nice and helpful. My recent visit, I went in to sell a couple items and was greeted by everyone. Lauren M was helping me check out and she was AMAZING!

Joe and Maya were so nice and helped me and my daughter so much and everyone was overall extremely friendly!

I personally love Plato's closet because they have everything I need for less, this is personally amazing because they have all the bands and things I need. I highly recommend this place!! By far my favorite thrift shop!!

Friendly staff and reasonable prices. It took a little digging, but I found some gems. Plentiful selection of short sleeve shirts and shorts, but jeans and especially pants not so much. (I like my jeans and pants high waisted but couldn't find many pairs that fit the way I'd like) Overall good experience and I'll be back soon!

I have been coming to this Platos Closet for several years. I have 3 teenagers and a tween so there's always something to try to sell and/or buy for the kids. I even bring some of my clothes in sometimes. I think they are very good at explaining why they don't purchase when they don't, but I'm always happy with the amount I get for the items they take! I actually appreciate that they are selective with their purchases vs accepting anything because it means you wont be looking through poor quality clothes. I enjoy working with the staff & have never had a bad experience!!...which i can't say about other similar stores!

I've had some really good finds here! Sometimes they'll even offer discounts on top of the already reduced price. Definetly a place to consider stopping by at if you want affordable and in style clothing! I also really appreciate the live shows helps me shop while social distancing.

Apparently I'm now old and my clothes aren't hip anymore to sell. I'm 25. I thought it was hilarious, because I have a good sense of humor like that. The gal assisting me so nicely explained that the clothes I brought in the sell were too nice and too mature and wouldn't really sell there. It made me feel old, in the best most funny way! That being said, a lot of the styles there would be great for teens and a lot of women in there low 20s. Super tight, skinny styles with bright colors and distressed looks.

Even my 3 year old was in to a lot of the displays. She even wanted a black, Calvin Klein small cross body purse ...that dare I saw, is pretty conservative. She must get her old tastes from me. Lol.

Cool little store, guys selection ain't half bad. Just depends on when ya come during the week, sometimes they have eh stuff, other times great finds. But all in all, one of the better plato's closets in the area for sure.

I have 3 teenagers who LOVE shopping here! Whether it is for school, athletics, a dance, a date, a special outfit; jewelry or the "perfect shoes or boots" to complete an outfit--they always find GREAT things! The clothes are stylish, trendy, and in excellent condition. The store is selective in its buying, and that gives me confidence that they are getting QUALITY! The store is full and the selection is always turning around, so the kids can go every couple of weeks and it's a whole new shopping experience! Where else can you ALSO get a chance to sell clothes back? It's a great option for my teens to earn a little bit back instead of just sitting in their closet getting outdated? This store is a great option in Algonquin!
