Fun Factory TC, LLC

While I’ve been a nerd my entire life, I never got into tabletop card games. Much to my horror this is my son’s new obsession. The guys behind the counter were incredibly helpful and awesome. Even other players there gave good advice.

Seriously the best place!!! Amazing selection, owner is so knowledgeable and friendly and honestly the best prices in town. Was great to just pick his brain on MTG and YuGiOh. The best part is being able to shop small instead of at big box stores. Highly recommend giving this place a visit!

So many board and card games at great prices! It was cool to walk in there and see momentos of my childhood— the owners are definitely Pokémon fans! 😄Also very knowledgeable and willing to chat about any game!

Great place to go and find amazing games and cards! My husband was searching everywhere for Lorcana cards and found them here! The owner is so nice and helpful!

The owner (believe is name is Dave) was super helpful and nice. I just hit my 5 year sober mark from opiates and it’s been a struggle to stay clean and find a hobby to stick to and actually like. My friends introduced me to MTG and I instantly was all about it finally went to fun factory to start building my deck and get some questions answered and Dave was super knowledgeable and patient and super inviting and friendly 10/10 I recommend. Will definitely be going back for tournaments in the near future

Amazing experience. Kind owner who trades Magic AND Pokémon, has many Pokémon Card Products including Steam Siege packs (which I pulled M Steelix EX out of)!

Great place to meet up for games, or buy gaming stuff. Excellent prices and the owner has a real passion for gaming and fun in general.

My personal favorite trading card shop in Traverse City, this comfortable down-to-earth shop offers a vast variety of Trading Card Game cards, packs, and supplies. The Fun Factory also holds events and has tables and chairs for in-house play. This absolute gem has reasonable prices and stock that can't be beat, and the owners are awesome people! Come on in and enjoy some amazing gaming at its finest. 😍😄

Amazing place for yugioh, magic, and boardgames. Will definitely be returning

It's an awesome place to get all your D&D and Magic Gear. Cards, Manuals ECT. You can also sell your psa and raw cards for a smaller price but that's the name of the game when in a tight spot. Would recommend for community card games, dungeon masters and anyone who plays table top.

We have been here a few times with our little Pokémon crazed boy. The owner has been so wonderful and we recently got a game set for learning the card game at a super reasonable price. The owner is dedicated to getting kids Into the world of game play and is always highly attentive. 10/10 would recommend.

Great store for board games, magic the gathering, and Pokémon. The new owner of the store is a nice guy and honest. You can also play in a store hosted commander group weekly. Im looking forward to the growth we will see moving forward

Edit 04/25/23: as of January Dave no longer owns the fun factory and the fun factory is under new ownership. I cannot speak for the fun factories current ownership as I have not been there yet since the sign over.

I've been going to the fun factory since 2014, I've viewed some of the other reviews on the lower end of the star system and have to disagree based on experience.

Walking into the fun factory know one thing, The owner Dave is a really nice guy, but don't expect him to be on his knees greeting and assisting you like a servant, that's his store not yours.

He has the largest selection of MTG I have seen in Traverse and throws weekly tournaments at the store, I typically enjoy doing commander on Saturdays starting at 6:00 p.m.

He has many other games available at the store, and yes the Fun Factory does have Pokémon cards, this includes Yu-Gi-Oh cards, etc. The Fun factory does have a vast selection of board games.

There's definitely a community that knows each other at this store, if you frequent the store you will know most everybody by name by the end of the year. People love coming here, and it's not just for the games, it's for the community that loves and appreciates what Dave has created at his Fun Factory.

No game store beats The Fun Factory, it has charm and so much to choose from. I’ve been going here for years to play and buy from and will continue to be a regular. Dave is a great guy, best place to buy MTG, Pokémon and board games hands down.

I felt the need to leave a comment after reading some reviews, the owner has been in business for a long time and I assure you he's seen it all. I've gone in to purchase pokemon mid magic tournament time and he got me everything I needed and wanted to look at without issue. He's not gonna coddle you and teach you how to buy cards, he's a legit shop owner and sells everything at fair price keeping the scalpers at bay. Hope all the success to the fun factory.

Today was my first foray into the world of Magic. I was a little nervous being a first timer and being about 20 years older than most people when they start. Dave was super helpful, kind, and patient with me. Just being in there for 20 min or so I could tell he's beloved by the community, and for good reason.

Terrific place with more board games than I knew existed, a terrific collection of Magic cards for sale (though I had no idea what I was looking at, everything is laid out in labeled binders and it was meticulously organized.)

He's also got D&D stuff so I'll be coming back for that as well.

Great staff! They are knowledgeable and happy to help. A mix of collectibles, trading card, and games of all kind. DnD, MTG, and so many new and different board games. A gamer's must see in TC.

This is a great shop full of games ans cards and room to play them. Dave the owner is a good guy. Our kids love going here and exploring the Pokémon cards.

My Son, wants to get into Magic the gathering card game and we came across this place that was highly recommended by others. My entire life that I have lived here I dont know how I never ventured into this store. It was a truly amazing first experience it felt like a mom and pop store, but they offered a plethora of board games and they host Magic the gathering tournaments here weekly. I had many qiestions for the owner and he was happy to help and answer them for us. The snacks and beverages are priced really well. The magic the gathering vards are also priced really well. Gives you the feeling that he isn't trying to just nake a "buck" off you but more there for the fun of it.
