Rating is for the Hibachi side -- the other side is fine, but not as good.

You can't go wrong with fresh food, talented cooks, and a nice atmosphere.

This is one of my go-to places when I am craving something fresh. The cooks do a great job, not just in terms of the show, but also the meal. Also, my husband is super picky about fried rice and this is one of the few places since we've moved to Oregon that has received his stamp of approval.

This was the first time we dined her. The experience was amazing. My youngest was a little afraid at first, but the chef did an amazing job. All three of my children had the best time. If I had one complaint, it would be that I ate way too much. That is my fault though.

Wonderful restaurant!! The food was absolutely delicious!! The staff was so kind and go above and beyond to make their customers feel welcomed and happy!! On our way out, one employee brought us water to go because it was so hot out! So kind and thoughtful! Will definitely be back again!!

i was surprised ,they put sushi&sashimi for 2 into boat . And the fish used are very fresh, the quantity given is also sufficient, and the cost-effectiveness is super high.recommend it to you guys

One of the best sushi places I have found in the Salem area. I have never done the hibachi side of the restaurant, so I can't speak to that. I have been on the dine-in/sushi side several times and it is always a wonderful experience. The price is fairly average for good quality sushi and there is almost never a wait if you go to the sushi side.

I absolutely love it here!! What a great place to spend your 40th Birthday. Good is always great, service is amazing. Will definitely be back here!!

An impressive dining venue, offering table dining, group hibachi dining (and, I believe, a bar?); a seemingly vast menu of food and drink; and, foremost, a very friendly and attentive staff. My first dining experience here guaranteed a repeat visit. Per the photos, the quality exceeded expectations; from the rice, to the tempura and battered chicken, everything was savory and rich in flavour. Strongly recommend the pear sake. I wish this restaurant long-lasting success.

We were completely wowed by our experience here . They were abled to accommodate my Gluten Free needs. Everything was so flavorful. We will definitely be back here to explore more of the great Flavors Nagoya has to offer. Both plates are the Nagoya Special with one being scallops and the other Shrimp. We tried the live oysters and were not disappointed in both presentation and flavor.

This place is so fun! We brought our kids (8&6) and they just loved the entertainment and the food! My husband and I also get to enjoy a nice time out to a restaurant (which is uncommon) because the kids just love everything going on! You get to watch all the chefs prepare everyone's meals as well so it's a blast. The food is GREAT and the sushi is fresh! (Sorry about the pics, they were a last minute thought because the food was too good!!!)

Clean place and nice staff, we were treated very well by the weightless. The sushi was really fresh and tasted good. Overall positive experience.

Fun and enjoyable environment. It was entertaining to see your food being cooked right in front of you. The staff was great and attentive and chef was very entertaining and friendly and the food was great and plentiful!

I haven't had sushi in MONTHS. I went here because another local place wasn't serving sushi. .. The food was AMAZING. My mom and I each got soup, an appetizer, and a roll, and it was all delicious! Our server was also fantastic

This place is off the Hook all you see in my pics was devoured it was so tasty. I have never had as awesome 🍣 as I have had here.. I will be eating here again for sure.. And I did come back for more.. Salem rolls are so awesome, try them out.. Portions meaning the rolls have gotten thinner around but still just as delicious.. Another thing Gratuity should be the customers choice in what tip you get not your's that's why. Adding cash to a customer's bill for a tip is theft, not tipping you earn the tip not take it like you think you earned it.. Stealing gratuities will earn you one star from me as well.. Shabby economics you have..

The backstory: Previous owners began struggling during covid. They proposed a deal with their best chef and he accepted essentially buying the whole thing from them. So, chef Jackie, he had no experience running a restaurant but does his best. He hired some younger people who had no experience either, but they did their best too. Fast fwd to 1yr later.
*Bartender/server/managerial extraordinaire Michah is a one man army and Jackie's best asset. This guy is the real deal and deserves a huge raise & praise for the bottle flipping bar tricks to inhuman short term memory requirements and poetically smooth tableside manner. Dude knows his craft. Honorable mentioned folks in his crew are: Rudy, German, Sara, Francesca, and Wilson are all up & coming.
The 3 star rating is for chef/owner Jackie's unfortunate communication skills, which are seriously lacking and is reflected in a lighting fast turnover rate and the sloppy presentations of dinner plates. Other than the prices, it is a good all around 5star spot.

It was amazing! The server was great, laughed with him. The food was delicious. We will definitely be back!!

Karen is an exceptional employee that we have a high regard for. Her and her son Brian really help contribute to the success of Nagoya… She made our anniversary and birthday a date to remember!

Food was great. Tokyo Long Island was delicious (and YESSS the alcohol was present in the drink 😋) Service was okay but the taste of the food & beverages made the visit well worth it.

Updated 1.26.20 - After a terrible experience at Kyoto, we zipped down the street to Nagoya, where we were seated immediately. It is now 815p and our sushi is already beautiful, well made, and on our table!
My chicken fried rice..at 819pm.
True we opted for the dining and not the habatchi, but still...
WAY better experience!!

Our chef was very nice and talented. Felt Covid safe and food was delicious. We were there pretty early and were done in less than an hour.
